Calming gel for cats

If your cat is hyper, in heat, having her dementia like mine, there are many gels on the internet (probably in Canadian Pet Stores also).

This is one I ordered:

You simply put it on their paws and they lick it off.

What is the shipping cost for that?

It varies. I usually spend over 50 dollars so I get free shipping. I deal mostly with Amazon and watch for certain days for sales and free shipping.

This product is expensive but there are lots of cheaper brands if you don't want to spend that much.

That is why when dealing on the internet, you have to do lots of research. The prices vary so much, take notice of the ounces on the tubes.
You can join the club at Amazon and get free shipping on everything you order. I haven't joined yet.

My sister has a dififcult cat, was thinking of getting some for her. I must ask her if she has tried Rescue Remedy.

Good idea. My big cat eats any of them, but the little one is a bit more fussy.
You can buy it at Petsmart right here in Ontario, but it doesn't seem to calm them much. Another thing that will calm a cat is 1/4 - 1/2 gravol. Some say it is not good to give that to cats but when I travelled with my other cat, I gave it to her and she slept like a baby all the time in the car. At the vet those pills for calming cats are about $10.00 per pill.

While Montana is a dog and not a cat, I have used Rescue Remedy for years. Started when she used to have a problem with car travel, and more recently use when thunderstorms are approaching, and they know long before we do.

Take care,
Pat

The best method for calming cats I know of is Feliway. I use the plug ins and it keeps things level around here. In an emergency, such as our recent move I resort to the Feliway spray. It works, it is natural, does no harm. I just like it.

Yes, I remember your saying that Angora, and wondering if it would persuade Bertie and Oscar to be better friends.

With my two it has brought about a tolerance. Butter will sometimes play a little with ruckus. Ruckus will sit by and watch Butter eat without touching her bowl until she leaves it voluntarily. He will come up to her when she's resting and start licking her head which she likes and allows until he sneaks in a little ear nip and then she'll growl and leave. All in all, if the feliway diffuser runs out Ruckus will roar from top to bottom of the house in a perpetual chase of Butter and she will hide behind the furniture.
