My son was on his way to the library today and encountered " Buster" a golden lab., dodging traffic! He pulled over and got Buster to come to him with a treat he had in his pocket! Buster only had a vet tag, son got him into his car and off to the vet clinic 20 blocks away. He dropped Buster off leaving his info. Needless to say the couple were elated when they received the call from the vet's office that Buster was indeed found and safe! They are seniors, 83 and 86, sold their house with a big yard and have moved into a town house with a smaller yard. Buster decided he needed more space to roam, pushed the gate ajar and escaped! They offered my son a reward of 100.00 when he declined, they insisted they meet him and have invited him for dinner tomorrow evening. He asked if he could bring a bottle of wine, the lady replied "yes I enjoy a glass of wine"! Just thought I'd share this " good news story"! |

That's a lovely story! I hope they get their gate reinforced. Poor Buster! |

Good story swing. Good son. After a certain age (like 83 and 86) perhaps a large dog presents something of a challenge. Perhaps not the best idea. Edited by Trotsky, Mar 4 2016, 03:05 AM.

How wonderful. A good feel 'tail' with a happy ending for all involved. Not everyone would stop to help a dog in definite need of finding home again. |
