You Will Not Believe What the FDA Found in Supplements Sold at Walmart

Quote:

Nobody likes filler. And yet it plagues us in everything from albums to TV series to movies and… herbal supplements.

Yes, herbal supplements sold in stores like Walmart, Walgreens and GNC have been found by the FDA to not contain nearly as much substance as claimed.

The herbs listed on the labels of many supplements tested aren’t even in the bottle – in their place are potential allergens like wheat and soy powder.

In some cases, even houseplants were found in the products.

It has been my opinion that we cannot trust the corporations that supply our food and anything we ingest. The fillers, even in prescription medication are not labeled and my pharmacist has had to do handcart to find out what is in them. Many have dairy and gluten and make me react very badly. The only company that came through for me with information as to content was Webber Naturals, the only one that I do not react unfavourably to. There may be others out there but I haven't had them tested or asked for information.

Herbal supplements are not regulated in the U.S. unless they actually contain poisons.
That's why you can have jackasses like Mehmet Oz making outrageous claims for supplements and not being jailed for them.
