I was amazed at the facebook response. Several posters who had been reading about Gato for years actually drove to the place to look themselves or to keep the owner company and offer their help while they were there. Some brought cages and other things to be helpful.

Once it was over, you should see the support she's getting from 100s of people consoling her. It does warm the heart.
