UPDATE: CRF Frozen Foods expanded its initial fruit and veggie recall on May 2, and then added a whole host of frozen meal items over the weekend. New information is reflected below.

Well, this certainly disrupts our peas of mind.

CRF Frozen Foods, a supplier to Trader Joe’s and Costco, has expanded its late April frozen food recall from just 15 items to more than 350 frozen veggie and fruit items sold across the entire U.S. under dozens of separate brands.

The recall now includes everything produced at one of the company’s facilities since May 2014. The packages were sold under brand names including Trader Joe’s, Kirkland Signature, Emerald Farms, Columbia River Organics and Great Value.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website includes a complete list of affected brands and items, which include, among other things, frozen corn, berries, mixed vegetables and stir fry.

I guess some of our stuff in Canada comes from the US. Going to see the list.

A relative who bought frozen organic vegetable from Costco received a phone call or email advising her about the contamination.

Waddling through the Supermarket looking at produce for point of origin, often all I could find was packed for some company, God knows where.

Jesus, MORE Costco frozen food contamination? Although we are no longer Costco members, today we are taking advantage of a "4 month free membership" at BJ's in Queens and I will try to remember the affected brands:

Nuts, I was planning on getting near a Trader Joe's soon and stocking up on their frozen Shepherd's Pies, really delicious, but I guess I should put that off until I am certain all the contaminated food is out of their freezers.

Thanks Darcie.

Just re-read the post:

So those 5 listed brands is only the tip of the "dozens" of brands iceberg thus I guess wisdom says Don't buy ANY frozen veg or fruit from Anyone until the smoke clears.
