DH met this fellow in the dog park yesterday with two golden retreivers, 5 and 6 years of age. He walks them often, first walk at 5 a.m. Friday morning while walking them, the one went into a path of secluded bush and wouldn't recall. He went to investigate and saw blood, assuming it was a dead animal he called the dog. The dog would not move, upon further investigation he discovered a 20 year old kid beaten badly. He called 911, emergency people told him an other hour and he would've been dead. Kudos to the dog ~ a happy ending.

Dogs are a lot more intelligent than we tend to think. What a good dog.

Owner told DH he got pieces of steak for a couple days, as a reward.
