After receiving our last cable bill for 90.00 I made a note to call Shaw. Today was the day, i conversed with Johnny in Wpg. He basically took movies off my existing bundle and decreased the bill by 20.00 per month, then an additional 5.00 off per month for loyalty! I never watch movies and DH downloads his, thus no need for any movie channels. It amazed me just by saying this bill is out of hand, so let's discuss what can be eliminated, that in 3 minutes he could reduce it from 90.00 to 65.00! I'm always up for a good negotiation, and was quite pleased with my efforts today lol! |

I only pay $41 a month for cable and in my opinion that's too much. It started out at $35. I only have basic channels. I'm going to ask them to take off the French channels and give me a discount since I don't understand French. I'm serious. Why should I pay for something I cannot understand. |

I only pay $41 a month for cable and in my opinion that's too much. I think that is a bit high for basic cable. I'm getting about 50 channels or more for 65.00. My friend has basic cable plus internet and she pays 60.00. We have high speed internet and it's with Telus. |

$65 is way too much for me to pay even for 50 channels. I simply cannot watch that much television. And $65 U.S. would be $78.00 in Canada. I get 53 channels including about 3 or 4 French channels and about 30 or so music channels in different genres. That also includes a HD box and on demand channels for repeats. I pay $112 for phone (LD Canada) High Speed unlimited Internet (I stream a lot) and very good cable. This includes taxes. I am with Rogers and have a two year fixed price with no increase. I used to pay $178 with Bell and had a worse box, this one records 8 shows at once. Good for me as I only watch recorded whenever I feel like it. |

I like to watch ball games, no other way to see them but with cable. I'm with you I don't like everything pre recorded. I enjoy my news channels, and the New York and L.A. real estate shows. I don't watch all 50 channels either, but like the choice should I so desire. We have our high speed with Telus which is 60.00 per month. |

DH just informed me we do not have the market variety here that the East provides. Our cells are with Rogers, but have never heard of them providing cable and internet here. We have Telus and Shaw which says it all! |

We only have Internet, everything we might want to watch can be found on our computers. Still pay too much IMO. |
