A Toronto couple who sacrificed personal privacy in a bid to find a house in Toronto now have a home of their own in which to raise their young son.

Not only that, it's detached, in their target area, and they got it for under asking and below their maximum budget.

"I'm very happy. Very happy," Val Woloshyn says.

"Njacko is relieved and really happy as well."

"We know another family on the street and have a couple friends a couple streets over. It's in the area we want, close to schools, close to the ravine," she says.

When we sold our mother's house the eventual buyers included a note saying how much they loved the house and wanted to make it their 'forever home' plus a little about who they are. This before the hot market hit - I think for those really watching could hear the beginning sizzle.
Of course we did not say theirs was the only offer as another person had pulled out the day of signing papers and putting down a deposit. Drove by yesterday, everything appears to be just as it was when I handed over the keys. Still surrounded by trees

So then, it only requires a post card to get a house in Vancouver? Wow, that is so much better than other housing markets that require MONEY.

(How can anyone sensibly write and publish an entire article about the buying and selling of a house without once mentioning the PRICE???????)
