That is very shocking. I've also heard that a human bite is a very dangerous thing as the mouth harbors all sorts of vile germs. |

I had a very bad bite in my finger from Mozzy. The doctor said it was the worse case of bite infection he had ever seen and I would be lucky if I did not lose the use of my hand or some of the fingers. He was also quite knowledgeable about such bites. To this day my finger sometimes aches. |

I wouldn't trust a bit from any animal, or claws from a cat... I was actually bitten by a horse a couple of weeks ago when it decided to chew my fingers when I dropped the carrot... We got to the disinfectant right away and I'm up to date on tetanus shots so it was okay.. |

My 2 cats have never bitten me. I have had many scratches but never no infection. |

My understanding of cat bites is not that they are dangerous due to filth, rather it is something to do with how deep they can puncture the skin and leave behind bacteria that can infect the wound. |

I'm not sure about that. I've heard cats cuss up a blue streak. |

You're right, David. All that hissing can turn the air blue in no time. :) |

Every 10 years I believe. At least that is how it is done at my doctor's. Take care, Pat |
