Got a New Toy Today

Got a new for me (2014) set of wheels today with a backup camera... But I love the way you can sync your phone, have all your contacts come up then talk to it.... you can read text messages on it too. I doubt I'll use while on the road tho, it's too distracting. I do like being able to play music from my phone, now that it's paired with the car (bluetooth) I can call up my favourites on the phone then listen to them through a Bose speaker... It has USB port so can charge the phone and other gizmos if I need to...

I would love to get OnStar but we don't want the additional expense, however you can use their phone in the U.S. with no roaming charges... something to think about for the winter maybe.

I love playing with toys, I'm currently at the computer loading more music onto my phone's SD card.

Actually the toy ones are not that expensive.

Battery operated ones are about $130.

Just a toy though. Nothing serious.

It's funny the things you never think of when looking for a car. We rented an SUV that didn't raise the trunk high enough, so hubbie hit his head. I'd never thought about the closing issue.

Our 2009 car is in great condition but I put my foot down with hubbie and said we were getting a new car. I have trouble with blind spots and the driver's seat doesn't adjust well. I also want the bells and whistles, everything that FSG got. There are only so many years left. The car is going to one of his sons, who has had financial issues since 2008. He and his kids should be in a safe car.
Isn't it tho... I've never had a brand new car never could afford it... We drove the last two cards we had for a long time then just gave them to our son when we bought another used car but he can't afford to run one now, and there's no where for him to park it .. so we traded it. Hubby has a 2004 big Diesel truck going strong, he won't give that up.

As for drones, I object to them spying on people, they should be very much restricted.. there was one in our park over the winter, fortunately it left... might be an idea to get a big net with a long handle or a pellet gun....
