Today while shopping at the Co-op I picked up a small key lime cheesecake for dessert it was pried at 11.89 but on sale for 6.99. It priced in at the regular price, as i was doing self serve i had to call the clerk. She sent a fellow for a price check, it was 6.99. I said to her now I get it for free, as that is incorrect pricing! She totally ignored what I said and put it in at 6.99. I said incorrect pricing at Safeway and you get it free, still no response. My question is am I crazy or is this not the policy?? Dh says it's probably a good will gesture on behalf of the store, if so the co-op failed. |

When you think about it if you can find an item that doesn't have a price tag on it you should get it free? Dream on brother. There is a $10 limit. Edited by campy, Aug 4 2016, 08:59 AM.

Well there is a Federal rider there in the link to the $10 limit from the Competition Bureau Canada. So I guess you could say it's a Federal law. I can't copy and paste it. It's an image apparently. Attachment 1 Edited by campy, Aug 4 2016, 11:21 AM.

I make it a point never to take anything to the checkout counter unless it has a bar code on it. Sure saves a lot of time. |

What DOESN'T have a bar code these days? The problem stems not from lack of bar codes but lazy employees who don't update the sales into the computer so their bar codes match the PROPER pricing. Edited by Trotsky, Aug 5 2016, 01:51 AM.

Everything has a bar code supposedly but they get pulled off. So the only time I will ever take an item to the counter without a bar code is if it's the last item left and I want it. And then the fun starts at the checkout counter. All the vegetables don't have a bar code. They are sold by the pound. Neither does a loaf of bread that's not wrapped or buns. |

The other day we had to return a package of Buffalo Mozzerella cheese as it gone rancid. i was quite pleased to discover that they gave us an extra $10.00 for our trouble! There is never a question regarding returns where we shop. |
