Tucker was taken to the vet this morning after an evening of passing blood and another sleepless night. He has a bacterial infection of the intestine, is on heavy duty antibiotics and no food for 18 hours. We were worried it was cancer thus are relived in that respect. Hardwood and laminate floors are a blessing at times like this! 21.gif

Swing: Glad you found out the cause of Tucker's bleeding - an infection is much easier to clear than cancer.

Glad to hear Tucker will soon be on the mend Swing. There are times when we just have to go to the vet rather than trying to treat ourselves and for me blood has always been one of them.

Take care,
Pat

Early yesterday it appeared he was improving, however many messes last evening which contained large amounts of blood. DH called the vet at 5 p.m. and got him in early this morning. Hopefully as predicted the med. will clear him up in five days. he's developed a bad habit though through all this. He indicated he had to go earlier, DH took him to the back door to go outside, while opening the door Tucker disappeared down the hall and into the living room, to do his business! Now with indication he goes on his leash to the back door ~ :sigh:

Sick pets are the most worrisome since they can't really tell you what's wrong, but most responsible owners know "something" is wrong by their change of habits and moods. We've been there quite a few times past and present and I can sure sympathize with what you're going through. Hope Tucker is feeling better soon. 527
