found this step by step guide on killing things for anyone like me who can't seem to kill and elk.... Elk Killing Preferances: Optional strength High stamina Medium speed 1. Head towards the elk using your compass. 2. Once you're in the territory, switch to scent mode. 3. Lope in different directions looking for purple scent. 4. When you find the herd, get to normal mode. 5. Survey the herd to see if you can pick out a low health one. 6. When you're ready, run towards the aimed elk. 7. Begin by sprinting to the elk, jumping, and clicking repeatedly. 8. When your energy gets low, get off. 9. When the energy fills up again, do the same thing. 10. Keep on repeating 7 through 9. 11. Eventually, the elk will turn around and start to back up slowly. 12. Wait until full energy. 13. Run at full speed towards the elk-- try to avoid the hooves. 14. Jump onto your target spot, preferably the side or rear. 15. Deal the killing bites, then refill your health with an earned meal. Rabbit Killing Preferances: Optional strength High stamina Optional speed 1. Run to nowhere in particular until a rabbit crosses your path. 2. Slowly follow the rabbit until it stops. 3. Run towards the rabbit at full speed. 4. Deal a blow or two, then slow down. 5. Repeat 2 through 4 until the rabbit is ready to be eaten. Coyote Killing Preferances: Medium strength Optional stamina High speed 1. Kill an elk or find a carcass as bait. 2. Wait until a coyote sprints into view. 3. Run at full speed towards the coyote. 4. Give chase and deal a few nips until your energy can't handle it. 5. Slow down to refill your energy. 6. Repeat 2 through 5 until the coyote's health is nearly drained. 7. Slow down, but continue to follow the coyote. 8. The coyote should steady it's pace eventually. 9. Zoom in for the fatal bites. 10. The coyote should collapse, and victory is yours. Wolf Killing Notes: Highly not recommended, and full health bar is needed. Preferances: High strength Optional stamina Optional speed 1. Find a wolf of any kind. 2. Get into the interaction mode. 3. Be neutral with the wolf until "I want to be boss" pops up. 4. Click "I want to be boss". 5. Naturally, the wolf will reply in the same way. 6. Take health until the wolf gives in. 7. Now be pitiful for the wolf and do all the soft options. 8. Continue until a hostile reply pops up that steals health. 9. If you're lucky, battle will start and you can take more health. 10. Repeat 6 through 9 until the wolf collapses, dead. |

I'm an expert at killing elk! lol! Here's my success: 1. Go to an elk hunting ground 2. Once you are there, walk (not run) and go into scent view 3. Keep walking around until you see the herd. Then switch out of scent mode 4. Keep a distance away from the elk. Sneak up BEHIND them while you are still walking. Keep slowly walking up behind them until you feel it's right to attack. Stop when ever they put their heads up. 5. Start running, attacking which ever elk you want (though, it would be better if you went after a stray or the one with the LOWEST health) 6. Once you find the elk you want to kill, go after it. 7. Keep going after it. When you're energy gets low, jump and run at the same time. That's faster than walking. 8. Once you are close enough, bite it and grip the bite until you're energy is really low. Don't give up. 9. If you're elk turns around to fight, that's a good thing. WALK up to it. Attack it when you have you're energy back (or if you have cornered it into a tree). 10. If you like to fight one-on-one (like me), keep doing step #9 until the elk is dead. For the hare: 1. Just bite it I don't kill the coyotes, cause I "promised" them that if they help me with my fiance and stay away from my pups, they can eat my leftovers and their lives will be spared. Of course, I kill ALOT of elk. Once I kill an elk, I eat my share and go to find another elk to kill, and the process repeats. The elk hunting ground that's next to the forest is now called "The Elk Graveyard"! |

I know lol! I'm killing all the elk I can find so I can raise my experiance points. Plus, I promised the coyotes that if they help me, them they get food. Now the coyotes are multiplying! So that means: the coyotes are repopulating so that means: I need to kill more elk, so that means: I'll have to work harder, so that means: I get more experience points, so that means: I'll have a better chance at raising my pups!!

Well, the coyotes are multiplying, which means I have to kill more elk to feed 'em all. The more elk I kill, the more experiance points I get. The more experiance points I get, the better chance of my pups (and my fiance) surviving! So, really, we're helping eachother. Look at this pic, I saw like 15 coyotes munching on my leftovers last night! ![]() Sorry, the pic's kinda big. But that's the smallest I could get it. That's the Elk Graveyard that the coyotes are in! |

Maybe you should just wait at the wolf meeting place. Otherwise, you have bad luck, PL. LOL!! Hey, are you STILL single? You have plenty of time to find one, cause you start to use your mate to hunt elk and explore. But I don't know when the Amyethst XP comes out. ![]() Ever since I made the promise to the coyotes, they've actually been helping me! You don't believe me? Well, here's a TRUE story: I was out to hunt elk (as the usuall). I went to the first elk hunting ground and/or the Elk Graveyard. I saw the herd and I was slowly creeping up on them. But as I was, I noticed a coyote near by. He noticed me. Suddenly, the coyote started running after the elk and the elk were trying to run away. However, the coyote went after this one elk. He lured her closer and closer to me, until I was able to kill her. So what happened? The coyote lured the weakest elk closer to me so I don't have to waste my energy to kill a full healthed one. |
