Hi Kenny!
Welcome to Big Boards. We're glad you decided to join us. :)

Users online thingy
You might not be doing anything wrong. The code works on my regular board, but I've never been able to get it to work on my test board....go figure that one.

A couple more simple checks:

Is your topic title EXACTLY: activeUsers

Try installing code at the top of the footers, in case something else that was above it in the footers was interferring.

That's about all I know to do.

Are you getting the extra section appearing for it right under the active user list and just no names adding in? Or are you getting no box at all?

Users online thingy
code installation topic:

topic on this board: http://bigboardsresources.com/index.php?sh...post&p=11525164

First of all...is this the upload URL you are using for Users Online Today?

<script language="JavaScript">var topic ='TOPIC NUMBER HERE';</script><script language="JavaScript" src="http://i2.ifrm.com/5567/162/upload/p1126148.ibf"></script>

Also, check your permissions for the hidden forum and make sure all member groups have read and reply permissions. Also check to see that you have the right topic number inserted into the code.

Jump to bottom
The topics are empty on the support board, but I have them archived on my test board.

You can find the code for that arrow here:

Page Down Arrow:

If you want other "jump to" text links, you can find them here:

[NOTE (to anyone interested): Since it's been over a month and the Snippets forum has not had posts restored, I have reposted the above code and the one on Jump To links. So at a least on those two, the topics are no longer empty.]

Hey folks
Welcome! I trust you'll find some good stuff here. :) Please jump right into any of the discussions that interest you.

Hey, another Helena....I don't get to meet too many of them.

I pronounce mine "heh-LAY-nuh"....how about you?

Back.. XD
Wondered why you dropped off the face of the earth.....link to here is in my sig at the support forums if you every lose it again. :)

hey hey hey
Wecome! Just start asking away.....we are all happy to blab about what we know. :)

Welcome Jewels....glad you posted an intro and let us welcome you!

You mean like an announcement box for guests only?
A lot of those guest-only/member-only codes seem to be faulty.

I use this one by soldier a lot....always works great:

Code Name: Guest Viewable Announcement
Description: Only guests can see this announcement box until they login.
Preview of it in Use: http://z4.invisionfree.com/soldierscripts/index.php?
Where it goes: Anywhere you want it to appear, I recommend <% Navigation %>.
<DIV class=tableborder id=showGuest style="display:none">
<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=4 width="100%" align=center border=0>
<TR><TH class=maintitle align=left width="59%"><p align="center"><img src="http://i1.ifrm.com/style_images/1/nav_m.gif" border="0" alt="">
<TR><TD class=row4><P align=center>
<li>TEXT HERE</li>

<script type="text/javascript">
if(document.links[x].href.match("act=Login&CODE=00") != null){

Made by .Soldier

Don't know what you mean.....but try it and see if it keeps guests from posting in your cbox.

How do I get rid of this feature on rules?
Yes, it's very handy.....it's one of RyanFan's codes:

Admin Cp >> Board Wrappers >> Footer

<script type="text/javascript">
// Hide Go Back to forum on Forum Rules
// created by Ryan Fan
// http://www.ifsz.com , 2005
x = document.getElementsByTagName('a')
if(x[y].parentNode.className == "pformstrip" && x[y].innerHTML.match(/Go back to the forum/i)){
x[y].style.display = "none"
x[y].parentNode.innerHTML = ""

What I do is install history back & next links and between them, include a forum link if it's appropriate. (You could also use a "Back to forum index" link instead.) Something like this:

<center><a href="javascript:history.go(-1)"><font color="darkgoldenrod"><b><< Back</b></font></a> · <a href="http://z#invisionfree.com/YOUR BOARD NAME?index.php?showforum=#"><font color="#3860BB"><b><i>Return to YOUR FORUM NAME</i></b></font></a> · <a href="javascript:history.go(+1)"><font color="darkgoldenrod"><b>Next >></b></font></a></center>

of course, use your own forum number URL information and forum title

I'm really bummed.....
Thanks for getting outraged for me....... :)

Sometimes I wonder how people that do the spam posting get compensated. Is it by number of posts made? If so, then it doesn't matter if they get deleted even immediately, if they've already made the post. It seems to be a hopeless battle.

I'm really bummed.....
Actually @web.de is one of the main spam-fostering addresses listed by Seth in the spam topic in the IFsupport board announcements:

The first and most important steps to take are regarding e-mail validation. Enabling e-mail validation is one of the easiest and most effective ways to slow down the robots. After you enable e-mail validation, go to Admin CP > Ban Settings and ban the following e-mail address sets:

    * *@cashette.com
    * *@mail.ru
    * *@gawab.com
    * *@web.de

This will prevent almost all spam from showing up on your board.

You could install your chat box for members only this way (doesn't involve any javascript code)

or you could surround your Cbox with this members-only code:

<DIV class=tableborder id=showuser style="display:none">
<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=4 width="100%" align=center border=0>

<script type="text/javascript">
if(document.links[x].href.match("act=Login&CODE=03") != null){

how do I add user online 60 min?
the code adds a new section to the board stats area that displays a list of members who have logged in in the last 24 hours.

Hello everyone!
Welcome tony!

Glad you joined us. I think we have some good stuff here.....hope you enjoy it. :)

How to add more smileys and avatars
The avatar gallery code is one that is missing in the server crash....but if I remember right, there are some problems with that code...like maybe it's not cross-browser or something.

To add more smilies, you have to first save them on your computer:

Right click on the emoticon (or smilie) you want to add, and choose "Save Picture As...". Choose a location on your computer (remember where that is since you will need to know it later on) and then click Save.

To use the new Emoticon (or Smilie), go to

Admin CP -> Administration -> Manage Emoticons

At the bottom of the page you'll find "Upload an Emoticon" to the emoticons directory. Click the Browse... button and find the file on your computer. Once found, single click it and then click on Open.... Now click Upload Emoticon.

Now to set this as a usable Emoticon (or Smilie). Under Add a new Emoticon type in the the text you wish to use such as :matrix: and then in the drop down list, choose your uploaded Emoticon. Now choose either Yes or No for Clickable (it shows up next to the post box). When you are done, click Add Emoticon.

Your uploaded emoticons will also appear in your File manager.

lol...^^ cant find a tittle :P
This is what you have in your wrappers:
<!-- BEGIN CBOX - http://www.cbox.ws -->
<div align="center" id="cboxdiv">
<iframe frameborder="0" width="200" height="245" ....

Your cbox is still the same width. You will have to go to your cbox account, make the width smaller, and then reinstall the new code.

(Don't forget that if you change the percentages in the placement code, they have to add up to 100%)

Also, if you want the cbox centered vertically, change this command:

<td width="20%" align="center" valign="top">

to this:
<td width="20%" align="center" valign="center">
