| Welcome to Big Boards. Big Boards at one time offered the Zathyus network our long famous Resource Archives, our extensive search indexes, and our info-packed resource forums. Eventually, these were made redundant by upgrades to the documentations and expanded search features added to the ZetaBoards software, and this forum then lost relevancy and subsequently became inactive. Our team then embarked on a new project called Planet Nexus, where a bold new experiment in forum promotion is taking place. We call it nexworking. NexusTree offers social networking pages for forums in a fully automated format. Your NexusTree page is created instantly when your join the nexus. Find out more by visiting Planet Nexus, and become part of the nexworking revolution. ![]() If you're already a member please log in to your account for additional access: |

When my forum index loads, it loads fine in FireFox, but I'm getting an error message in IE: "Done, but with errors on the page" Can somebody help me figure out what the problem is? Link to the board is in my signature. (ZFF) This is the most recent code I've added. It's a table with a link button and another table code that is inserted below the <%>BOARD%> tag

No, didn't fix it. Got the same error message. Did you change anything except the formatting of the code? |

in my opinion, first try to fix the format, and then the content inside <script>, i try to debug it in IE but it only reported line 2 & line 56 got an error, but i have no idea line 2 & 56 from where, because line 2 is a meta, and in line 56 i don't see any errors
meanwhile i already tro debug in firefox too using firebug extension but it doesn't report any errors, sigh does those errors in IE affected your forum or maybe it's functionality? |

Doesn't seem to do anything I can notice---just displays the error message. But not when I'm logged in, only when I open the page as a guest. I just put a bunch of code in a forum description. Could that be the problem? I only get the error message on the forum index page. When I open other pages, it is fine.
In a quick check, I did find one extra tag that I eliminated, but that didn't fix the problem. I'll try to spend some time a little later today and go through the codes bit by bit..... * sigh * |

err why did you use </br> instead of <br> or <br /> ? is it the right br tag? i never see </br> tag tough... also i have found div close tag in your code, which you didn't have any open div tag before:
try removing it, maybe it helps. if that one still have errors, well maybe i can suggest you should test the code piece by piece. if you remove the code in the description does it still have errors? if yes,you should test all the code in you board wrappers to see if any of them cause an error if don't, well maybe you should break the code above by pieces for better diagnosis. about one month ago i have this type of problem, unknown errors in IE, after spending some time checking my wrappers, i've found 2 codes that caused errors, luckily those code aren't very important so i can safely remove it. errors in IE are very annoying to diagnose

</br> Ha! I think I asked someone once how to do a line break and that's what they told me, so I've been using it ever since. Seems to work. But I think I'll switch to <br> from now on. I removed the div tag but am still getting the error message....taking out the entire forum description code doesn't make any difference either.....obviously some other problem. |

well maybe it's one of your code in wrappers, try taking out your code one by one and put it here if you have already found it

OK...will work on the codes now..... BTW, the ACP doesn't like <br> It erases it. So I guess it's <br/> then? |

Found the problem....it was in my footers. The Users Online Today code. It's a hosted code, so I doubt I can fix anything about it. I wonder why it 's a problem, I have been using it a long time and haven't noticed IE error messages until just a couple days ago. However, I wonder if it is because the display of users is blank when viewing as a guest (frame is there, just no user display) ......There is not an error message when I am signed in the the code is displaying. So...I think I'm not going to worry about it. Everything seems to work OK. Thanks so much for your help, nike.stars. I learned a lot from this thread.

if that is a hosted code and you have experienced problems only recently, then maybe the code maker make changes to the code without your notice (because it is a hosted code ;)) my suggestion is to host the code by yourself, either in your own board, or other hosting, that way ensure the stability of the code you are using (it also faster if you host the code in local provider :D)glad to help you
