| Welcome to Big Boards. Big Boards at one time offered the Zathyus network our long famous Resource Archives, our extensive search indexes, and our info-packed resource forums. Eventually, these were made redundant by upgrades to the documentations and expanded search features added to the ZetaBoards software, and this forum then lost relevancy and subsequently became inactive. Our team then embarked on a new project called Planet Nexus, where a bold new experiment in forum promotion is taking place. We call it nexworking. NexusTree offers social networking pages for forums in a fully automated format. Your NexusTree page is created instantly when your join the nexus. Find out more by visiting Planet Nexus, and become part of the nexworking revolution. ![]() If you're already a member please log in to your account for additional access: |

If I wanted to use a code written for Invisionfree on Greasemonkey, is the only things I need to do: strip off the script tags, add the GM prefixes and save as a user.js file? Or does something else need to be done to make it work? I was trying to install a block user script to test making a user script. It worked as far as putting the options in the control panel, but the links didn't return the options screen. I don't know if I installed the script wrong or if the code was just not compatible with the board. |

Cool IF Coder

well not sure what you mean by GM prefixes but i suppose you mean the small commands that define the codename, version and stuff to greasemonkey, if so than the answer is yes. |

I've had issues with functions running from greasemonkey. If you recall, I tried to get my shoutbox code working through it, and it worked for the most part, but you couldn't post or refresh or anything because it all required functions. I was actually thinking about that again today and postulating on ways to fix it, such as just having it write a remotely hosted script to the board. I'll do some testing and let you know

I'm so proud...I posted up a code on userscripts.org, which is a repository for Greasmonkey codes. It's not my code, but a repost of a BB code fix written for me by one of the members of the IF support board. SInce the topic is no longer available there, I didn't have much information I could use to credit him, but it ia a great script....and it's been downloaded 40 times to date...so that makes me happy that people are able to use it. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33269 |

Last update Jan 11, 2009 — Installed 310 times. ![]() Hopefully my little doc helped. It's a shame it only works in Firefox now. Unless others can figure out why it stopped working in Chrome; and have tested safari; and know how to use it in Opera.
