| Welcome to Big Boards. Big Boards at one time offered the Zathyus network our long famous Resource Archives, our extensive search indexes, and our info-packed resource forums. Eventually, these were made redundant by upgrades to the documentations and expanded search features added to the ZetaBoards software, and this forum then lost relevancy and subsequently became inactive. Our team then embarked on a new project called Planet Nexus, where a bold new experiment in forum promotion is taking place. We call it nexworking. NexusTree offers social networking pages for forums in a fully automated format. Your NexusTree page is created instantly when your join the nexus. Find out more by visiting Planet Nexus, and become part of the nexworking revolution. ![]() If you're already a member please log in to your account for additional access: |

Board URL: http://thestartreknexus.com What browser(s) are you using? ie7 Your Forum System (IF or ZB): IF Your Issue/Question: I found an odd link in the css and don't know enough about css (well, nothing really) to tell if it belongs there or not. I'm attempting to replace the back ground image with a lower res one that is hosted on the board I found this
when I try to go directly to that link highlighted in green it takes me to some quicktime thingy. stop me if I'm being too technical. is that right or should I replace it with background image? |

![]() ^ Looks like the background image for your forum descriptions on the index. It's an image slice. Can't imagine why you are getting redirected to quicktime. There no reason you shouldn't be able to replace that with a self-hosted image. rehosted (since you can't see it): http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7168/xrowswk3.png |

it's wierd. I can see it but can't save it to my computer because it's quicktime. Could that be one of the reasons the board is loading slowly for some people? when I went further into the css I was getting the same thing for all the board images. |

don't know, sorry... the quicktime thing....any time there are redirects going on, it could be a malicious program . Have you run spyware/virus check lately? I'm not getting redirected, and I can see all the board images, if that helps. |

yours are just fine. It's when I use the link on the board I get some quicktime thing. And after quicktime loads I get the same image as you get, I just can't save it. I wonder if I can save the url to my photobucket and have it work properly from there? |

Do you have this problem with all PNG images, or just the ones used on your board? When exactly does the Quicktime notification appear? Only when you try to view the direct image, or also when your board is loading? |

just when I try to view the image on it's own. I've found though, that if I take the url and put them in image tags in a post I can see the image and copy it from there. and I've never had that happen with another png image. But then, I don't remember a lot of times I tried to view the direct image either. |

Since that's not happening to either me or Helena, you must have some odd settings applied to your images or Quicktime is just getting quirky on you. Perhaps re-installing Quicktime on your computer might do the trick. If not, I would just take your route and save the images directly, when posted. |
