Welcome to Big Boards. Big Boards at one time offered the Zathyus network our long famous Resource Archives, our extensive search indexes, and our info-packed resource forums. Eventually, these were made redundant by upgrades to the documentations and expanded search features added to the ZetaBoards software, and this forum then lost relevancy and subsequently became inactive.

Our team then embarked on a new project called Planet Nexus, where a bold new experiment in forum promotion is taking place. We call it nexworking. NexusTree offers social networking pages for forums in a fully automated format. Your NexusTree page is created instantly when your join the nexus. Find out more by visiting Planet Nexus, and become part of the nexworking revolution.

Welcome to BB's Graphics Challenge.

The graphics challenge runs for one week and requires your submissions to comply with a stated theme. The themes are specific, and should be judged by which best fulfills the theme and shows the best design skill. A run-off poll will be posted in which BB members will pick the winning design.

The winner will have an emblem displayed as an image prefix on their user name and can claim the title of BB's graphics king until the winner for the next graphics challenge is chosen.

The current challenge is for best grunge signature.

The challenge will close on Sunday, November 9, 11:59 pm forum time (CST or -6 GMT)

If you have a previously created graphic that fulfills the challenge requirement, you may enter it. You may also post as many entries as you like during the course of the challenge. Signatures must include a name somewhere in the design.

So, open up those graphic editors, and lets see who will take the crown!

I'd say you have some of the elements. This might help:

Some defiining aspects of grunge design style:

Quote:

rather crude, radical and provoking. the grunge style — dirty look with irregular, nasty, sometimes even ugly and crooked visual elements. Stretched, torn and dirty: with rusty effects, peeling/flaking paint, urban images, graffiti-like elements, worn-out, torn, faded, can be dark and brooding, like a city alley at night. Elements that go along wtih the grunge music styles are appropriate.  Fonts are irregular, blocky, deteriorating look.
