I am hopeless at writing although I do have a good story line, I am sure every one says that Would anyone like to help out and help me create and finish my Idea for a book or two It would be good if it got published as well Credit would of course be given to all those who contribute Anyone interested in helping out, 2 Billion years ago Earth was populated by other intelligent life, their height was about just under 5’ tall They had shimmering bodies almost pearlescent and changing in colour. The planet was also populated by other creatures, some of which we still see today although smaller in size, Reptiles, birds, insects, mammals etc This Intelligent life 2 billion years ago ruled the earth as man does today, they harnessed the energy from several sources, they had scientists. One of these found a way of saving the thoughts and energy of the afterlife, after death from all creatures on earth including their afterlife, it then created an entity and a Conscience of its own. During this stage there were many things which happened, good and bad, It eventually destroyed the beings which created it, but leaving all other life intact, failing to destroy the artefact that created it. It then dispirited all the lost souls, from within the artifact, and over time this artifact remained hidden? Until Book 2 begin the story |

Hey, no writer is hopeless. Take it from me - I could link you to my first posted story ever, but it's just too embarrassingly bad. There's really only two things that will make you better at writing: Writing, and reading. Both of them. Inspiration comes from everywhere and you'll start to be more perceptive as you write more and get used to being creative in different ways. So far, your story looks like a bunch of other sci-fi tropes glued together. Don't forget that the most important thing in any story is the characters, and you haven't really named any of those. Even with a story that is totally bland, cliche, and ridiculous, you can have some great character interaction and end up with a cult classic. Star Ocean 2 is a great example of this. Especially Aston. That said, put some thought into your plot, too. Just writing whatever you feel like can generate some good ideas and be a lot of fun, but the meandering plot that results isn't very good for published stuff. Inspiration comes from all over. Other stories are fine as long as you don't copy them totally (a shout-out, or a parody/ripoff are totally different things :P). For a long time, my poems were basically just mimicing Cow's, for example, but after a while I came into my own. You've got a long road ahead, but a very rewarding one. Honestly, don't worry about being published. I've never been formally published (except in a State compilation in 5th grade, lol). Just write because you love it, and if you decide to pursue a publishing contract, it's always there. Once you've developed your ideas I'd love to comment on the results (that is, if I have the time. I'm notorious here, ask anyone). |
