This is why I don't like remakes of films, because they get it wrong. The film looks nicer than it ever did before, a heckuva lot cleaner and stuff. I just preferred the original. But it's nice to watch it in the comfort of your own home Different. Not wrong, different But of course, it's your right to prefer the original. I guess maybe it's because I haven't watched it as many times as you that these I don't find these changes unfavourable. For me to be put off by a change, it'd have to be as big as making Vader a wookie :lol: On that note, my one complaint about the new movies is that they contain no wookies. I say bring back the wookies!!! We need at least one mention of em in the last one

But I think the problem most people have with the changes is that the original was such a masterpiece that they can't see why make the changes. It would be like painting new clothes on the Mona Lisa to update the look, even if it was Leo doing it it wouldn't be right.

We want Wookie! We want Wookie! The trouble is that the original does look a little naff now, and people like that. But it still awes a room into a hushed silence most of the time... so why tinker with a winning formula? If the original film was getting worn thin, I'd agree with a remastering. You'd give a lightsaber to a Wookie? Why on earth would it need one?

I've recently found out that there will indeed be Wookies featured in Return of the Sith... Yeeha! Is there a rule about every third mive being called 'Return of..' Watch out for movie 9: Return of the Ewoks!

Return of the Jedi was originally gonna be Revenge of the Jedi and some merchandise was actually created with that name. Then at the last minute Lucas decided it sounded too "vengeancy" and Jedis weren't supposed to be about revenge, so they changed it Anyway, the part I liked best was when you first hear Vader's voice. The whole evilness of it is so cool...Long live James Earl Jones :ph43r:
