It is expected to be released August 2005! It's based on the cool game Doom 3! It's going to be on Mars in 2145!  This is going to a Horror/Action/Sci-Fi movie!

Yeah, but the Res Evil games were great too, remember. See what a hash they made of the movie? Not too many game to movie projects stand up all that well... I hope this project does. Be a shame to dump on the Doom franchise with a hopeles movie. |

At the hands of a monster played by Brendan Fraser But what I like to know is why no has made movies of the other Doom games? I just hope it doesn't get compared to Aliens, which is the king of the Horror/Action/Sci-Fi genre. |

It's only natural the Rock'll die. He's playing Sarge :rolleyes: This has great potential, especially since when Warner Bros tried to push them into going PG, instead of folding and eventually churning out a softcore film like AVP, they packed up and moved to Universal instead. I don't care what people say, a Doom movie that isn't R rated will probably never be able to do the franchise justice. Then again, doing the franchise justice in a movie would take brilliant acting, awesome special effects and divine intervention Also, it looks like they're changing a bit for the movie, but that's only natural. I just read an interview of the scriptwriter for the movie today, so you guys can take a look-see: Interview As I said before, sounds like it has potential. Here's to hoping the don't screw it royally

You don't take a game that by all rights is almost R rated and then make a PG movie about it
