Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money Posts: 48 Group: AWOL Member #20 Joined: October 18, 2004	that the english dub is the worst dub in the history of anime? I swear to God, I was going to buy the box set until I heard the dub. Now I'm gonna have to stick with the horrible quality downloaded subs.

Defender of MolMol Posts: 8,973 Group: General Member #1 Joined: September 5, 2004	buy the DVDs! support your favourite series! the dub wasn't totally horrible, as some characters had passable voices, but my two biggest gripes were Kitsune's voice (which I've gotten used to) and Izzy was Motoko

Only heard some clips... And I still loathe the fact that for some reason in dubs... Kansai accent equals american redneck. <_< I almost hate to see how Negima will turn out. T__T

Sesshomaru in English dub sounds so bad ass but in japanese he sounds less intimidating and more gay. Now, I actually believe it has to do with what you started out with. You started watching something in Japanese, you dont want to switch to english and Visa Versa.

For the mainstream Western audience, the main problem with watching untranslated stuff is that you may not understand it. So companies try their best to make the series watchable. Some are good, some are bad, some are dreadful... I prefer watching LH subbed, because you get the Japanese soundtrack and dub, but you can follow (sorta) what's going on, even when readin the Americanised subtitles...
