Makes sense, yes? But not every vehicle has to obey the red light. What vehicle hs the right to go through a light when it's red (in the UK)?

Definitely not the darn buses Even emergency vehicles aren't technically allowed to go through red lights unless they're in a special condition (sirens going, lights on). And, so far as I know, not the turning traffic, either There is just one vehicle that's allowed, though.
