:l. It's funny, because i've never read the manual. Who reads the manual. I'm kind of gung ho about it. I busted an ata port doing that one time :l. Shitty side ata ports bug the heck out of me. I'm surprised I haven't broken anything else.
Hello, Peaches. We deliberated long and hard on this one. Well, hinarei and Silver deliberated, I just waited for the go-ahead to ban you. It's a shame you just couldn't catch on to the new rules. We'll miss you, Peaches, we truly will :)

Oh, and if you want to bitch, hinarei's the man to bitch to.

RTFM.

I used to steal 128 RAM chips out of old school comps and try to fit them in mine. I think that's how I messed up one of the holders that holds the chip to the port. But that's the worst I've done to my comp.

Hey I got a problem.

The biggest thing is.. It's not my comp...
The thing that's actually the problem; That comp can't find the DVD drive anymore (Note: It is the only drive apart from the hard drive and floppy drive). It loads the software but doesn't seem to find the hardware.

So in order to fix it myself I need to reconnect the drive but I also have this question: Is location '0' a valid location for the drive?

Huh? That can't be...I mean...umm, the drive's usually associated with like a letter or something.

Yeah a drive is associated with a letter but also with a port which connects the actual drive with the computer... the port's nuimber has been changed to a 'location' after the first operating systems came.. At least I thought it went like that.. Don't really know.

port 0 is a valid location. Why don't you just change the port that the dvd goes into.

If that doesn't work I'll start my prayers and make my will.
