SO I've been wondering. Do you know Japanese and stuff or are you going to learn that there? (Or a big part of it..) Cuz if I remember correctly the Japanese language (writing) consists out of 3, well..., parts. Kanji is dirrived from the Chinese Hanzi (Kanji means something like han writing) and consists out of 50000 symbols. Officially there 1955 plus about 980 for use of own names. Hiragana, meaning easy kana, is the first writing a child is taught and consist out of.. 46(?) basic characters and ofcourse exeptions. Katakana, is the easiest to write since it has more square lines. This writing is mostly used for; 1) words out other languages. 2)To make things stand out (in the way we use italic and bold text). 3) To imitate sounds (*sigh*) 4) Names for plants and animals 5) Street language. (the next 2 I got from Wikipedia) 6) First names for woman(????) 7) Telegrams. And there's another, Romanji, which litterly means Roman Letter(s). These are used to get they're writing in western writing. Romanji is actually Kanji and Hiragana in western writing. Is that about it? But don't forget to awnser the question! |
