Techno, electronica, same thing. Nobody listens to that stuff to hear how terribly the people sing. And you morons who are claiming metal as the better, you know you listen to Rammstein which is, as I linked to before, an INDUSTRIAL METAL band. Simplest terms, it's TECHNO and METAL. So yeah. Get over it. Metal alone sucks tremendous balls, because all you have is shitheads banging their guitars and screaming as loud as they can, which is borderline emo. Not to mention, there's a kajillion classes of metal. Be more specific as well. |

IT is to me clear you don't know anything about Rammstein and their music, Calling them Industrial metal is far from riht, YES they have some of it in the music but. Rammstein is what metal fans that know metal call a Unique blend. If that overloads the head which you carry upon you shoulders, it is a blend of many music genres that are combined (still being mostly metal) and cannot be found in other bands, yet i don't think you could hear the difference, that needs a metal ear. Wikipedia is indeed a site of much info, but people can write what ever they want in there. If the one that checks it have no idea what Industrial metal is, he'll proberly just abrove it as long as the language i oki. I never trust Wikipedia <_< |

Not true Silver. The difference between electronica and techno is because techno hardly has any lyrics at all. They'll always have one or two quotes and repeat it over and over with a repetitive beat playing. Electronica SOUNDS like techno but they're more invloved with the lyrics and they're beats have solos. Waka Laka is electronica so says Itunes. But I will agree DDR has mostly Techno music. Silver stop bullying me, I messed up okay. xD FH: Heavy metal and emo are not my style. Ozzy Osbourne, Three Days Grace, System of a Down, etc are my kind of metal. I listen to the guitars more anyway. |

It is clear that, because you listen to Rammstein, you believe you know all about their music. You can go around and argue all you want, but the fact remains that they're STILL industrial metal. If you want to be a turd, you could call them part of the "New German Hardness" scene, but that's still an offshoot of industrial metal, just with more pronounced guitars and more samplers. Being a Rammstein fanboy doesn't make you any more right. If the music fits a classification, then, (get this) it's PART of the classification it fits. Take a look at a couple of the other bands on the Industrial Metal page. You see "Oomph!" there, whom directly influenced Rammstein to take up music and mimic their style. Also, there's a Finnish band on there that Dyehard introduced me to named "Turmion Kätilöt", and they sound EXACTLY like Rammstein with the exception of being Finnish. Liking Rammstein a bunch doesn't make them special in the world of music. Maybe to you, but not in the world of music. So you can remain in denial all you want, but Rammstein is industrial metal, because they use samplers. They can modify the samplers to create whatever sounds they want. In that aspect you can call them a "unique blend"; but because they use samplers (and don't deny it, lest you seek to prove your ignorance) they are industrial metal. So stop whining just because your favorite band doesn't have it's own little genre. You ought to be supporting Rammstein in the aspect for being one of the only purely industrial metal bands out there.
I dislike emo terribly, and I like only a little heavy metal. Really, in sound, TDG and SoaD are more alternative/hard rock. Ozy's harder for me to classify, personally, but I wouldn't QUITE call him heavy metal. Maybe just metal, as you said. |

I will not deny Rammstein being part Industial, never did. It's a part of the blend I talk about. Still it's not direct Industial. I sounds wrong to me that a guy that dosn't really like metal knows more than one the doesn't listen to anything else. BTW, Rammstein is not my fav. band and havn't been for a long time... But there is no reson to carry this on, we clearly won't agree, therefor I end this. |
