I'm more of a melodic death metal person. In Flames, Scar Symmetry, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, etc. I've not listened to Poison, so I couldn't tell you. I like all kinds of metal. Just not the shit with people screaming and playing idiotic riffs. I like a little thrash metal (Lamb of God), and symphonic death metal (Dimmu Borgir) is nice when done properly. Though my favorite type of metal would be *ahem* industrial metal, though it's hard to find any truly good ones. Alternative metal is pretty good (Mushroomhead, Korn) though a lot of alternative bands tend to go along with the nu-metal scene as well (think Limp Bizkit), which I tend to despise. I like a bit of Pantera as well. Supposedly Pantera is groove metal, but I'd think they're more in-between that and thrash. I'm not a huge fan of many mainstream bands, so asking me about them isn't going to get you a well-founded opinion. Godsmack's decent. I've liked their original albums, and they've managed not to become terrible with their later efforts. Slipknot was king until they made their second mainstream album. I've not heard any of their underground stuff, but I was impressed by their entire self-titled album. But Iowa is shit, and Subliminal Verses is even worse. Though yeah, like I said, I've not heard any Posion (well, I probably have, but if I did, I couldn't name it) so I can't help you there. |

True true Arch Enemy and In flames, are very good bands indeed ^^ Hmm, Still mostly i listen to Old power metal, Manowar, Dream evil, Hammerfall. Still I like all other metal genres... well not all, I can't stad love metal XD It's kinda funny I think nu-metal is a danish thing, meaning now-metal, like modern metal |

I'm not sure, but that's still no excuse to combine rap and metal. And "Love Metal" isn't even a category. Or if it is, I don't recognize it. Because "H.I.M." blows huge balls, and that's a fact. |

Well Love metal might not be a official genre, but It is used in denmark where i live ^^ And so do i, And I think it's possible to have that genre, but as said I'm not sure if it's offical. The way i got into metal was by hearing Rammstein, It caught me and well, just started to hear more and more ^^ and yesterday was my 5-years-of-metal-day.... |

Is that song downloadable? I tried to access it now (at school, for the faster connection) but it gave me an error. If it's downloadable, I can listen to it better, 'cause there's no speakers on these comps. Either way, I'll check them out. I've been listening to REAL metal for maybe 3 years now, and standard "metal" for roughly 4 or 5. I believe one of the first actual metal songs I heard was Cradle of Filth's cover of Venom's Black Metal, which I still today think is a greatly played song, even if Dani Filth screws it up with his terrible "singing". |
