Hey guys and girls. I seen a few music video's composed with scenes from this anime. I read up about it and it seems really interesting. Apparently there was a series on tv 26 episodes long. They then made a movie called death and rebirth which was a condensed revision of the first 24 episodes. The next movie was called the end of evangelion which is the last two episodes in the series but editted with a different ending. I also read that there is a 3rd movie after these called Revial of evangelion or something. This movie is a condensed version again of the first two movies, re-editted and blah blah. Now i hope all the info i have is correct, if not can someone help me out here.

What i wanna know is suggestions for what i should look into buying if i wanted to watch this? The series sounds like the way to go but if they made a movie i would assume it would be better, but meh im just hoping someone knows something.

Thanks everyone! :su

the show first. Otherwise, and I mean this, you will not have a clue what the movies are on about. :su

This rocks, matey :) one of the best anime I've seen to date, and well worth shelling out for the VHS tapes for... all 13 of them ^_^

Actually, I recommend getting the Platinum Boxset. It's better than the originals =3 The watch Death and Rebirth, THEN End of Eva (I still need to see End of Eva)

Anyway, thats the order you need to see them in. Death is a recap of the series, Rebirth is new footage which leads onto End of Eva.

Brilliant series!

With much steam following as your brain dehydrates quickly >.>

And the entire anime will require watching several times before you will finally understand the last two episodes, though most people STILL don't =.=;

>< There's only one robot, and even that's not entirely robotic! (The others are more like biological horrors)

Anyway, I liked it best for the wild philosophical rollercoaster ride in the last two episodes. Besides that, I found the series rather interesting, but not bad.
