1. Some panda issues all relating to his ultimate i. Before, cannot remember when, you used to be able cast the ultimate and windwalk storm back to the altar and purchase another hero. In fact, just tried, cannot even purchase with any/all of the forms at the altar. ii. For some reason the hotkeys(yes I use custom keys) for ultimate abilities, not all just the two main ones haze and fire, are changed back to the WC3 default and the others-- windwalk, taunt, dispel, and cyclone -- stay the same as my custom keys. iii. Ensure that if all the forms are killed in ultimate the killer gets the bounty. 2. Probably, in my opinion, the most important part of this post. When I host games I generally would be able to get a full house game but, due to the large file size, either quit or download then quit cause takes too long for others to download. I asked Sadism and he said that 2.0b was like half the size of 4.2b. Not believing him I checked it out and indeed he was correct. Now I commend on your efforts to make the game more noob friend, and I like your additions to the game. But, if all of those additions are actually turning away new players before they even play the game I wonder if they are even worth it :(. I don't know enough, actually anything :), about the map editor, jass, or even what contributes to the size of the map but I beg you to look into this. If you get the size of the map down to what it was, roughly 500k. I honestly think you would see RN's popularity increase and would be able to get full house games regularly. |

1. I know the reason for your panda issues. It's because XP had made custom units for the panda spawns so that they could have inventory. The problem was that the system he built was bugged and that's why you lost items periodically when splitting. Instead of rebuilding a system, I just changed his ult back to the normal blizz units. This is also the reason you can't purchase a hero with them, because they don't have inventory. I may rebuild the system in a later release. 2. Triggers don't have much to do with the map size. Most of the size increase has come from additions of units, heros, items, load screen, and sounds. Items and sounds mostly since I had to import some icons and the sound files. The sounds aren't really necessary and I did consider taking them back out, but others were telling me to leave them in. I didn't really consider 1200k too awful of a file size considering that dota is up to 2300k. If you look at the file size of rival when it started even up to 2.0b, you'll see it steadily was increasing. I won't remove items, units, or loading screen. I may remove the sounds which will bring it down to 800k to 900k, but honestly, will that even matter? You're talking a difference of about 10 seconds on a 512k connection. Not a big deal in my opinion. --edit Also forgot to mention the use of widgetizer. This is the process use to speed up the map loading time; however, it also increases the map size by about another 200k. I think though that the load time issue needed to be taken care of and the 200k increase is worth it. I know of a few people that quit playing it because the load time was horrendous. |

Panda bugs are fixed, and I rebuilt an item system to work as well with his spawns. Will all be implemented next version. |
