I've been burning DVD's a long time on XP, but I just updated to Vista and my copies of Nero and Clone aren't compatible with Vista. Wondering if anyone else runs Vista and burns DVD's. What programs are you using, and do they work well with copy protection. I'd like to continue using Nero 8 if anyone has a keygen or crack? Also, need good recommendation for lightscribe software. |

I have samsung Litescribe, however the problem is, U didnt mention what kind of model and what brands it is, is it in or external? Once you know the infos, then google it, plus add Firmware download in the search box, that shuld speed you up and finding the right firmware download for ur dvd burner, search for vista download only ofc :) good luck I'm also guessing when u download the vista, I dunno if ur drivers are also download for vista, they need to be updated too... ~Riski~[redit][/redit] Edited by iMaster_Toker, Aug 14 2008, 09:50 PM.

Internal, external, and brand name should not make a difference in software I use Riski, but thanks. I simply need to know if anyone else burns and uses Vista and has a suggestion of good compatible software. Btw, its an internal Sony Optiarc Lightscribe, just so you know. What program are you using to put the image (picture) on the disk riski? |

Ah, good link for lightscribe software. Guess I could have googled it, but wanted feedback first. Thanks. It's not a laptop. It's a desktop that I just built a few days ago. I always build my own

Every 6 month, a computer gets old. |

The computer I just replaced was 5 years old, and honestly ran just as good as this new one. Some programs maybe a little slower to start, but I'm really not that impressed with the new advances in hardware. It should blow a 5 year old computer away. Although, I didn't do any gaming other than wc3. I'm sure that is where the difference would lie. I'll wait 6 or 7 more years again for the next one. |

yea, smart, save your money on a new car with new way to save resource for a long trip. Honda has a new type of hybird, electric with fuel cell, and fuel cell are made with hydrogen. |

Honestly, most new computer you buy today from the companies actually comes with DVD burning and a program that helps step by step. If you custom build your computer, be sure to have a DVD RW, so you can re write on it, but if you want movies then i'd suggest DVD R cause rewriting movies aren't 100% accurate. |

I love hak5.org for my tech news, great tvshow/podcast. I'm interested in the new harddrives the flash drives, instead of the partition disk drives, I'm hoping that technology really advances before I decide to get a new comp. It makes data recovery a lot simple too. its basically taking the flash usb tech and applying it to hard drives, where the drive can no longer take physical damage like offset plates, or broken hardware stuff like that, fixing an arm etc. its all intact and nonmoving. Also has a higher storage capacity and higher corrupted data storage, like if one block bit of data is corrupt it will flash the whole block and move it. instead of having to defrag etc. |
