Page Conversion Marathon
So as you may have noticed, Zetaboards gives us the option to use HTML based indivudal webpages. HTML is much more consistent than BBC code, and for long-term records and information-based sites, it is really the easiest to organize for many reasons (tables and divs being some examples).
However, converting informational pages from BBC code into HTML takes quite a bit of time, since it's similar enough to easily lead to errors, but different enough that you can't just "find and replace" in notepad. As a result, the staff have agreed to let you, our brand new members, to help the process along!
But how does this work? Follow these steps and it will be easy.

1. Check this page for what threads we need converted. Be careful, because there are some informative pages that are supposed to remain within the forum portion of the site. (For example, the Wing Listings, which will be changed on a regular basis by moderators who canot touch the pages).
2. Hit reply or quote of any page that needs editing. (If for some reason you are unable to do this and receive an error message, please let Ricci or Dana know so that we can change the permissions).
3. Recode the page using HTML.
4. Submit your HTML page via email to crystalwatersweyr@gmail.com Please be sure to also notify us HERE -which page- you have done and when you emailed us, as the CWW email account does not get checked daily.
5. You're done! Keep track of what pages you have done, as there will be surprise prizes at various stages. (Also applicable to the Advertising Contest)
Advertising Contest
This one is pretty straightforward. We have an advertisement set up; all you have to do is go to other sites and post it – in the appropriate places, of course. Keep a list of where you’ve posted the advertisement, and at the end of the contest, whoever has the most wins!
Keep track of your progress, and surprise prizes may pop up!

Site Rules Dragon Colors :: Wher Colors :: History Drumheights (Recent Plot Information)
Welcome to the 21st century. It's been many turns now since it was worthwhile calling this any sort of new era, because while technology may have improved, it still has never gone past the simplest mechanisms. Worse still, less than two thousand turns after AIVAS successfully guided Lessa and her oldtime people into successfully eradicating Thread, an astronomical phenomenon of unknown origin and unknown type has pounded the Red Star back into orbit. After thirty turns of relentless Threadfall, falling more often at night than it ever had before, and just as ceaseless by day, Pern received a much needed hundred turn interval. The vast majority of the population, however, was already dead.
But this is not the story of all of Pern.
Long ago, long before the menace returned to our skies, dragons of strange colors began to appear. Whers and firelizards had already begun to mutate, but being what they were, there was not so much animosity. A little anxiety towards the strange whers, a likelihood of nobody coming forward to bond them, perhaps, but their Handlers were not estranged, and in fact, firelizard mutants were highly coveted for their rarity and unique beauty. But the dragons, however, with no choice to bonding or not, were quickly decided to be a bad thing. The downfall of dragonkind. Whers were already broken beasts, firelizards were little more than decoration, but a purple dragon? Absolutely not.
After many turns of ostracization, a group of mutants and sympathizers left the few Weyrs that they copopulated with non-mutants. Unable to settle within their home Continents of both North and South, they soon found their way to the altogether unexplored Western Continent. Within just a few decades, the Western Continent's economy began to flourish, with sympathizers and neutrals alike eager to make stakes in the land, much as so many turns ago men explored the Southern Continent.
With their economy flourishing and new transfers regularly joining in, few noted the subtle increases in population, until finally, Thread returned.
Crystal Waters Weyr survived its first Pass in history with minimal losses compared to the other Weyrs of Pern, and they seemed to be doing well. However, during the hundred turn Interval, they lost their strongest Clutchers in a Mating Flight accident, leading Thaira to come to the Weyr from another continent to take over as Sr. Weyrwoman. Now, Crystal Waters Weyr flourishes again with three Golds and its share of Amberriders, but with the Renegades seeming to get a stronger and stronger hold on the Western Hemisphere, who can say how much longer Crystal Waters can truly keep their head above water?
What We Offer: *An exciting plot with many surprising twists as members join! *Regular Hatchings (at least one every three months, more often as more members join!) *Gay dragons! That's right, gay dragons! Why should only humans have varying sexualities? Instead, here at CWW, your dragon has a higher chance of being straight, but can be bi or gay, instead! *A uniquely set up Marks system which involves: Quests, Random Events, Interactive Shopping (including haggling in some "stores!"), and much more! *Unique dragon, wher, firelizard and crawler colors, and a whole new species of Pernese natives to be introduced in an exciting plot!
