The rules are simple: You pick one person to vote for, and the 1 who receives the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks! In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2058 Nominations Zach Frost 5th and Final Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2044/players/player561.htm Career stats: 21933 points (97th), 15162 rebounds (12th), 3501 blocks (31st), 8449 FGs (91st), 5015 FTs (41st), 787 double doubles (9th) The case for Zach Frost: One of the more consistent big men of his generation, with 14 straight seasons of double doubles from 2029-2042 (averaging no lower than 15.4 PPG in a season during this streak). Underrated defender with the impact he made as a shot blocker. Strong career FG% for a big man (.452). Almost never turned the ball over (career 1.1 TOPG). The case against Zach Frost: Never had a 20 PPG season as a player so his scoring wasn't at an elite level. Terrible FT shooter and non-existent passer his entire career. Never won a title despite being on numerous good teams. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ryan Laird 4th Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2051/players/player45.htm Career stats: 28380 points (39th), 11814 assists (13th), 2573 steals (31st), 10922 FGs (35th), 2573 3s (31st), 591 double doubles (t-46th), 3291 turnovers (21st) The case for Ryan Laird: A very protective PG during his career, with 15 seasons of 20+ PPG and 13 seasons with 9+ APG. Was a very good 3pt shooter for his career (40%). He was productive until his retirement, making the finals his final year as a starting PG for the Wizards. He was adept at getting steals and playing good defense. The case against Ryan Laird: Struggled with turnovers earlier in his career. Was somewhat a liability as a rebounder. Never won a title and struggled early on at making the playoffs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keith Koch 4th Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2044/players/player448.htm Career stats: 14009 rebounds (24th), 4424 blocks (5th) The case for Keith Koch: He was one of the biggest impact defenders EBL has ever seen. Over the 2nd half of his career, he made his teams defense so good that they could become title contenders just based off that. Underrated rebounder and passer. Capable of being an OK scorer at times. 2 time champion along with numerous defensive accolades. The case against Keith Koch: The first 7-8 seasons of his career were basically a wash out. Because of that, didn't have great longevity as an elite player in EBL. Generally a poor offensive player year in and out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew Kopp 4th Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2054/players/player134.htm Career stats: 30761 points (25th), 6747 assists (71st), 3165 steals (5th), 11588 FGs (26th), 4393 FTs (70th), 3192 3s (6th), 2773 turnovers (52nd) The case for Andrew Kopp: One of the best shooters in EBL history. He currently is 2nd for most 3s in a single season, making 288 3s in 2049, in addition to holding the single season FT% record of .964, set in 2050. He not only made a lot of 3s, he made them at a high percentage, shooting over 42% career with 7 seasons of 200+ made 3s. One of the best defensive guards of his era. Prolific scorer, with 11 straight seasons of 20+ PPG from 2041-2051. Great passer out of the SG spot. The case against Andrew Kopp: Failed miserably as a PG early in his career. Very poor rebounder for a starter. Didn't offer much positional versatility in his career due to his size and inability to play PG effectively. Never won a title in his career. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Christien Soucy 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2055/players/player566.htm Career stats: 13508 rebounds (31st), 3673 blocks (24th), 558 double doubles (63rd) The case for Christien Soucy: He was one of the better defensive players in EBL for the majority of his career. An 8 time all star, he also won 2 defensive player of the year awards and led many great teams to the top of the league in defense. He was also a 2 time champion, and was on numerous other contenders throughout the years. A prolific rebounder, he never averaged lower than 11 in a season during his entire 14 year career. The case against Christien Soucy. He wasn't a liability on offense, but he was never any good at it, either. Terrible FT shooter helped contribute to his low career PPG (11.3). Didn't have great longevity, but he did make an impact from year 1 to year 14, something big men often don't do in EBL. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ John Cudney http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2057/players/player314.htm Career stats: 30847 points (24th), 2520 steals (33rd), 11670 FGs (23rd), 3270 3s (4th) The case for John Cudney: One of the most prolific shooters in EBL history. A 3 time champion, he excelled for much of his career on winning teams. Began his career with 16 straight seasons of 20+ PPG. He was a good rebounder and handler for a SF/SG, never hurting his team in either regard. Was a good to great defender much of his career. Terrific 3pt shooting % (42). Early in his career, was an elite #2 to Tulio in New Jersey, then continued to succeed with the Wizards late in his career. The case against John Cudney: Had some inconsistent seasons in between the Nets-Wizards years. Was never able to lead a team as the #1 guy to success. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Current Vote Tally Andrew Kopp: 6 Keith Koch: 4 Christien Soucy: 3 Zach Frost: 2 John Cudney: 2 Ryan Laird: 0 Edited by Mofoticon, Dec 18 2016, 06:41 PM.
