The rules are simple: You pick two people to vote for, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks!

In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available.

And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments.

2063 Nominations

John Cudney

5th and Final Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2057/players/player314.htm

Career stats: 30847 points (27th), 2520 steals (34th), 11670 FGs (26th), 3270 3s (7th)

The case for John Cudney: One of the most prolific shooters in EBL history. A 3 time champion, he excelled for much of his career on winning teams. Began his career with 16 straight seasons of 20+ PPG. He was a good rebounder and handler for a SF/SG, never hurting his team in either regard. Was a good to great defender much of his career. Terrific 3pt shooting % (42). Early in his career, was an elite #2 to Tulio in New Jersey, then continued to succeed with the Wizards late in his career.

The case against John Cudney: Had some inconsistent seasons in between the Nets-Wizards years. Was never able to lead a team as the #1 guy to success.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lou Hodson

4th Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2059/players/player607.htm

Career stats: 15634 rebounds (10th), 4349 blocks (10th)

The case for Lou Hodson: One of the best defensive players and anchors at his position during his time in EBL. A 4 time EBL champion, tied for 3rd most all time. Dominant shot blocker and very good to great rebounder for much of his career. Was always on winning teams and usually always on great defensive teams.

The case against Lou Hodson: Was a minuscule offensive player, but didn't hurt his team with bad shooting (career 41%).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christien Soucy

4th Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2055/players/player566.htm

Career stats: 13508 rebounds (36th), 3673 blocks (27th), 558 double doubles (71st)

The case for Christien Soucy: He was one of the better defensive players in EBL for the majority of his career. An 8 time all star, he also won 2 defensive player of the year awards and led many great teams to the top of the league in defense. He was also a 2 time champion, and was on numerous other contenders throughout the years. A prolific rebounder, he never averaged lower than 11 in a season during his entire 14 year career.

The case against Christien Soucy. He wasn't a liability on offense, but he was never any good at it, either. Terrible FT shooter helped contribute to his low career PPG (11.3). Didn't have great longevity, but he did make an impact from year 1 to year 14, something big men often don't do in EBL.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Louis Rogers

2nd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2046/players/player161.htm

Career stats: 26774 points (55th), 12625 assists (11th), 2739 steals (22nd), 10217 FGs (53rd), 2529 3s (35th), 671 double doubles (33rd)

The case for Louis Rogers: A former 2 time EBL MVP. Made 3 all EBL 1st teams at the most crowded position in the league. Was at one time one of the best players in EBL on the offensive side of the ball. He had 6 seasons with at least 20 PPG and 10 APG. Surprisingly adept at getting steals, averaging 2.1 per game in his career. Efficient shooter, with career lines of .463/.867/.419.

The case against Louis Rogers: Was often a terrible defender for the majority of his career, holding him back from reaching his full potential as a player. Didn't have much success in the playoffs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darren Frisby

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2062/players/player84.htm

Career stats: 1642 games (1st), 40068 points (2nd), 15617 assists (1st), 3762 steals (1st), 15375 FGs (2nd), 5436 FTs (27th), 3882 3s (3rd), 836 double doubles (9th), 32 triple doubles (t-25th), 3029 turnovers (39th)

The case for Darren Frisby: Arguable the most productive player in EBL history. A former 6 time MVP and 4 time Playoff MVP as well as 4 time champion. Was one of the best players on back to back 70 win teams (2055-2056 Hawks). The only player to rank top 5 all time in both points and assists. Scored at least 20 points per game for an incredible 19 straight seasons, with 9 of those seasons also including at least 10 APG. A very proficient shooter, shooting almost 48% from the field and 43% from 3 during his career. Rarely if ever had a problem with turnovers despite always handling the ball. Was a great defensive player for much of his career, becoming the all time leader in steals. Was always a major factor in his team's success, of which there was often a lot of.

The case against Darren Frisby: N/A

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jared Bryant

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2062/players/player168.htm

Career stats: 29013 points (39th), 13045 assists (9th), 3160 steals (7th), 10976 FGs (38th), 5254 FTs (31st), 730 double doubles (24th), 81 triple doubles (3rd), 3991 turnovers (6th)

The case for Jared Bryant: A former EBL MVP who had a very productive career, albeit in the shadows of Carpenter and Frisby. Had a 12 straight season run with at least 20 PPG and 10 APG, showing his consistency at a high level. One of the best FT shooters of all time, shooting 91% from there during his career. One of the best rebounding PGs of all time, averaging 6 per game during his time in EBL. A prolific defensive player, he often was regarded by GMs and FBB as the best defensive PG in EBL during much of his career. A 2 time champion, with the first title being one of the most impressive wins in EBL history, beating the 2 time champion Hawks on the road in game 7 (and was named Playoff MVP). Transitioned to an elite 6th man role later in his career, winning the award once.

The case against Jared Bryant: Was never a great 3pt shooter, often being below average or worse at it in a season. Could struggle often with too many turnovers, sometimes approaching 3.5 to 4 per game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darren Frisby: 16
Jared Bryant: 13
Louis Rogers: 1
