MVP: Andre Harris - Dude's legit. Enough said. Runner up: Colton Grover - He really does make his teammates better. It's pretty insane, actually. Defensive MVP: Andre Bush - 1st team EBL defense and *should've been* DPOTY. I'd assume he finished 2nd for that award. Runner up: Brady Vanburen - First great wing defender I've had. Organization Rookie Of The year: Brady Vanburen - He was certainly the most impactful addition this past offseason. Runner up: Thad Leroy - He's a good defender and shooter and filled in very well during injuries to Brady and Andre. Most Improved: Andre Bush - The dude has improved every season since joining my team. Runner up: Andre Harris - After a meh season last year, he got back to his normal self. The Terrence Jones Award (6th man of the year): Thad Leroy Runner up: Vince Newman - His versatility and scoring ability makes him pretty valuable for a 2nd and 3rd string guy. Biggest Surprise: Andre Bush Runner up: Vince Newman Satnam Award (Biggest disappointment): Brady Vanburen - Injuries, man. Completely healthy, I feel I was the best team this season. Brady's injury in the playoffs was much more disappointing than losing while fully healthy. Runner up: Colton Grover - His shooting and scoring dropped this season compared to last. MVP: Allan Wheeler.... I mean, he's the GOAT Runner up: Vaughn Romeo... probably the actual most valuable player on our team as the crazy run we went on was sparked by him coming to squad. Defensive MVP: Cliff Wall, he gets a lot of steals Runner up: Neal Lawson... he does stuff sometimes on defense I think Rookie Of The year: Marlin Ritchie, he proved all the critics wrong by not being cut and he actually appeared in 9 games. High point total SEVEN... nicely done Most Improved: Allan Wheeler, he just keeps getting better. Runner up: Neal Lawson... he shot a better fg% and scored less points. Basically everything I've ever wanted out of him The Terrence Jones Award (6th man of the year): Tristan Ardnt, big games in the playoffs replacing Wall. Runner up: King McCool, he came off the bench and did stuff too. Biggest Surprise: I mean.... if I don't write going to the finals here, its a lie. Runner up: Mofo commending me on my GMing skills after the playoffs. Never saw that one coming lmao Satnam Award (Biggest disappointment): Losing the finals after winning the first two games on the road. The Rockets were definitely a much better squad and I didn't think we were going to win, but after going up 2-0 on the road... that stings. Runner up: Probably the King McCool trade. I gave away one too many assets in that deal, but the Hill to Toronto trade saved my ass and I had just enough left to grab Valles and Romeo. |

MVP: Darin Bennett - He shot very efficiently and was a bit better then Rouse imo. It's hard to pick an MVP because it was really an all around team effort. Runner up: Brent Rouse - Similar production to Bennett. Showed he's very capable still. Defensive MVP: Jacob Beeler - 12.7 RPG and 3.9 BPG is elite defensive production as top ten in both. He wasn't even a slouch on offense either. Runner up: Kenny Hegg - He was one of our best defenders on the wings/guards and we lead the league in o3PT% so he must have had a hand in it. Solid work all around on defense really. I think we were probably the best defensive team this year. Rookie Of The year: N/A - We don't do rookies around these parts. Runner up: N/A - Yup. Most Improved: Jacob Beeler - From 9 MPG 3rd stringer to 14/13 with 4 BPG. Can't complain. Runner up: Darin Bennett - He went from our 6th man to top scorer for our team. A big part of out squad. The Terrence Jones Award (6th man of the year): Kerry Shaw - No idea how I could measure this, but I think Shaw had some hand in our 3PT defense as a back-up wing. His shooting also improved a lot after an inexplicably awful first sim. Runner up: Orlando Figueroa - A solid back-up big who helped our defense for sure off the bench. Biggest Surprise: Winning the division - I thought we'd be good, but I didn't expect to win the division. We've only done that a few ways in general so it was a surprise. Runner up: Having the top o3PT% - With Bennett and Simoneit having significant minutes and C+ defenses, I was pretty shocked how we still managed to have that level of defense. Satnam Award (Biggest disappointment): Losing round 1 - I never really expect to lose with homecourt. Orlando certianly isn't bad but blowing a 2-0 lead was just bad. Runner up: Not trading - Just didn't do a lot of trades. Kind of a bummer. |
