The rules are simple: You pick one person to vote for, and the 1 who receives the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks! In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2064 Nominations Lou Hodson 5th and Final Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2059/players/player607.htm Career stats: 15634 rebounds (10th), 4349 blocks (10th) The case for Lou Hodson: One of the best defensive players and anchors at his position during his time in EBL. A 4 time EBL champion, tied for 3rd most all time. Dominant shot blocker and very good to great rebounder for much of his career. Was always on winning teams and usually always on great defensive teams. The case against Lou Hodson: Was a minuscule offensive player, but didn't hurt his team with bad shooting (career 41%). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ricky Hart 4th Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2052/players/player407.htm Career stats: 14005 rebounds (28th), 3856 blocks (22nd), 5055 FTs (45th), 768 double doubles (t-17th) The case for Ricky Hart: He was often one of the best big men in EBL during his career, capable of not only being an elite rebounder/defender, but also an underrated scorer (13 seasons with at least 16 PPG). An efficient shooter for a big man in EBL (46%). Only had 1 season below 10 RPG his entire 16 year career (his rookie season). Won 2 titles in Denver as a core player and had numerous other success on other teams. The case against Ricky Hart: Doesn't have the career scoring numbers you'd expect from a good scorer like him. Struggled mightily with FTs his whole career. Never had an outside game to speak of. Non existent passer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Louis Rogers 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2046/players/player161.htm Career stats: 26774 points (56th), 12625 assists (11th), 2739 steals (22nd), 10217 FGs (54th), 2529 3s (37th), 671 double doubles (34th) The case for Louis Rogers: A former 2 time EBL MVP. Made 3 all EBL 1st teams at the most crowded position in the league. Was at one time one of the best players in EBL on the offensive side of the ball. He had 6 seasons with at least 20 PPG and 10 APG. Surprisingly adept at getting steals, averaging 2.1 per game in his career. Efficient shooter, with career lines of .463/.867/.419. The case against Louis Rogers: Was often a terrible defender for the majority of his career, holding him back from reaching his full potential as a player. Didn't have much success in the playoffs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kang Chen 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2046/players/player546.htm Career stats: 13435 rebounds (38th), 765 double doubles (19th) The case for Kang Chen: One of the most consistent big men of his generation. Was one of the best players on a title team (2035 Rockets), something a lot of big men can't say. Averaged a double double all 15 seasons of his career. Wasn't an elite shot blocker, but averaged almost 2 per game over his career still. Great efficiency from the field (46% career). The case against Kang Chen: Doesn't have many numbers you'd expect from a HOF'er. Was often a poor defender, especially in the second half of his career. Had no outside or handling game to speak of. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Arthur Anderson 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2060/players/player445.htm Career stats: 13665 rebounds (32nd), 4538 blocks (4th), 5214 FTs (34th), 707 double doubles (29th) The case for Arthur Anderson: One of the best defensive players of his generation and one of the best shot blockers EBL has ever seen. Was a defensive anchor for the consistently great Mavs defensive teams the 2nd half of his career. More than held his own as a scorer, even putting up a couple 20 PPG seasons early in his career. Became a more efficient and less shooting scorer in the 2nd half but still made an impact on that end of the ball. Was capable of hitting 3s, though never excelled at it. The case against Arthur Anderson: Was never a great rebounder, though it was never a weakness either. Really struggled with offensive efficiency at various points in his career. Non existent as a passer and for as much as he got to the FT line, didn't shoot well enough (under 70%). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Greg Cabrera http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2057/players/player221.htm Career stats: 29064 points (37th), 2371 steals (t-47th), 10978 FGs (37th), 4658 FTs (66th), 2450 3s (42nd) The case for Greg Cabrera: One of the most consistent scorers in the league for the first 15 seasons of his career, never scoring under 20.7 PPG and putting up 5 seasons over 25 PPG. Was often a great all around player, putting up almost 7 RPG and 4 APG during this time. A great defensive guard for much of his career. Not a great 3pt shooter, but still nearly 40% for his career. Produced everywhere he went during his 20 year EBL career. Was a big part of the championship 2047 and 2049 Magic team, starting and averaging over 23 PPG both years. The case against Greg Cabrera: He wasn't flashy and didn't stand out in a league full of scoring due to it. Became most known for his terrible contract in the final 5-6 seasons of his career, diluting his worth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Current Vote Tally Lou Hodson: 10 Louis Rogers: 4 Arthur Anderson: 3 Ricky Hart: 1 Kang Chen: 1 Greg Cabrera: 1 Edited by Mofoticon, Oct 7 2017, 06:49 PM.
