The rules are simple: You pick one person to vote for, and the 1 who receives the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks!

In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available.

And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments.

2068 Nominations

Arthur Anderson

5th and Final Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2060/players/player445.htm

Career stats: 13665 rebounds (34th), 4538 blocks (5th), 5214 FTs (35th), 707 double doubles (30th)

The case for Arthur Anderson: One of the best defensive players of his generation and one of the best shot blockers EBL has ever seen. Was a defensive anchor for the consistently great Mavs defensive teams the 2nd half of his career. More than held his own as a scorer, even putting up a couple 20 PPG seasons early in his career. Became a more efficient and less shooting scorer in the 2nd half but still made an impact on that end of the ball. Was capable of hitting 3s, though never excelled at it.

The case against Arthur Anderson: Was never a great rebounder, though it was never a weakness either. Really struggled with offensive efficiency at various points in his career. Non existent as a passer and for as much as he got to the FT line, didn't shoot well enough (under 70%).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tyree Robinson

5th and Final Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player236.htm

Career stats: 31068 points (26th), 11641 FGs (28th), 2754 3s (24th)

The case for Tyree Robinson: One of the best and most consistent scorers in EBL history. Fourteen straight seasons of at least 22.8 PPG. A very efficient scorer. A solid rebounder at SG.

The case against Tyree Robinson: Was very much a one dimensional player. A below average to poor defender much of his career. Not a good ball handler for a guard. Rarely won anything without Kenneth Marshall.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greg Cabrera

4th Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2057/players/player221.htm

Career stats: 29064 points (41st), 2371 steals (t-55th), 10978 FGs (41st), 4658 FTs (70th), 2450 3s (47th)

The case for Greg Cabrera: One of the most consistent scorers in the league for the first 15 seasons of his career, never scoring under 20.7 PPG and putting up 5 seasons over 25 PPG. Was often a great all around player, putting up almost 7 RPG and 4 APG during this time. A great defensive guard for much of his career. Not a great 3pt shooter, but still nearly 40% for his career. Produced everywhere he went during his 20 year EBL career. Was a big part of the championship 2047 and 2049 Magic team, starting and averaging over 23 PPG both years.

The case against Greg Cabrera: He wasn't flashy and didn't stand out in a league full of scoring due to it. Became most known for his terrible contract in the final 5-6 seasons of his career, diluting his worth.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kevin Land

3rd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2047/players/player491.htm

Career stats: 13601 rebounds (36th), 4492 blocks (6th), 652 double doubles (41st)

The case for Kevin Land: Was generally a good to great offensive big (career FG% of .453). Overcame his rebounding issues early in his career to become a top 25 rebounder all time by the end of it. Former 2 time DPOY as well as 5 time all star. One of the best shot blockers in EBL history, with 12 straight seasons of at least 3.4.

The case against Kevin Land: Was a poor rebounding big for much of his early career. Non existent outside game and could be a liability at FTs. Averaged much more TOPG (2.2) than APG (1.4) career. Only had 1 season above 20 PPG and 1 season above 12 RPG, both in 2037.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bryan Freeman

2nd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player626.htm

Career stats: 12482 rebounds (65th), 3216 blocks (t-46th), 649 double doubles (43rd)

The case for Bryan Freeman: Was among the best centers in EBL during his prime. Was a high level starter for at least 8 seasons (no worse than 17/11 from 2024-2031). Very consistent player. Won a title in 2028 with the Mavs as one of their best players. Very good defender much of his career. Underrated FT shooter.

The case against Bryan Freeman: Was a good, not great scorer most of his career. Could be argued he was good at a lot of things (scoring, rebounding, blocking), but not great at anything. Non existent passer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrian Johnson

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2067/players/player227.htm

Career stats: 30633 points (32nd), 3218 steals (3rd), 11566 FGs (32nd), 4474 FTs (79th), 3027 3s (t-14th)

The case for Adrian Johnson: One of the best defensive guards in EBL history. At one time defeated Dobson and the Hawks in the finals during his apex, one of the best accomplishments ever in this league. A very consistent and great scorer, with 14 20+ PPG seasons and 9 of those were over 24 PPG. A very efficient shooter from both the field (.464 career FG%) and 3 (.417). A very strong passer at the SG spot.

The case against Adrian Johnson: Never had a truly "elite" season in terms of his offensive stats. Never followed up his 1 title win with another. Could struggle at times with turnovers throughout his career.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Vote Tally

Adrian Johnson: 14
Arthur Anderson: 3
Tyree Robinson: 1
Kevin Land: 1
Bryan Freeman: 1
Greg Cabrera: 0
