7th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 0 UL Lafayette 0 2nd WKU 14 ULL 14 3rd WKU 0 ULL 14 4th WKU 0 ULL 14 Final ULL 42 WKU 14 stats Tyler Bruce-6 for 17, 148 yards, 1 TD 3 INT's (out 6 weeks with a strained back) Kawaun Jakes-4 for 8 for 55 yards William Simmons-3 for 5 for 24 yards Bobby Rainey-18 carries for 101 yards Braxston Miller-19 yard TD run Andrew Pettijohn-4 catches for 38 yards Clark Jeter-3 catches for 81 yards, 1 TD Thomas Majors-11 tackles, 10 solo, 2 TFL Mark Santoro-1 INT Analysis-We were up 14-7 late in the 2nd and threw a pick on a screen trying to kill time before the half...we never recovered. With Bruce now hurt, we are turning to cornerback William Simmons at QB, because I have no faith in Jakes. We'll see how this turns out, I'm not optimistic. On a positive note, very nice game from Rainey, surpassing 100 yards before the game got out of hand and we had to pass to try to come back. Next up, at home vs North Texas |

8th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 3 North Texas 7 2nd WKU 14 NT 7 3rd WKU 0 NT 10 4th WKU 7 NT 11 Final NT 31 WKU 24 stats William Simmons-6 for 19, 96 yards 1 INT Kawaun Jakes-1 for 1, 39 yards, 1 TD Bobby Rainey-16 carries for 83 yards, 1 TD William Simmons-16 carries for 26 yards (sacked 6 times) Clark Jeter-2 catches for 65 yards, 1 TD Mark Santoro-13 tackles, 9 solo, 1 TFL Clint Mitchell-10 tackles, 8 solo, 2 TFL Analysis-A much closer game than I anticipated, but we came up short. We took the lead in the 4th by 1, but then they marched right down the field late and got the game winning drive and 2pt conversion. Simmons had a ton of drops from his WRs, and we are going back to Jakes for the remander of the season at QB...no more flip flopping, he's our guy with Bruce hurt. next up, vs FAU |

We signed our 5th recruit...* FB Andrew Burke out of Kings Point, Florida (65th among FB's) 9th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 0 FAU 10 2nd WKU 3 FAU 17 3rd WKU 7 FAU 0 4th WKU 0 FAU 21 Final FAU 48 WKU 10 stats Jakes and Simmons-9 for 44, 181 yards, 1 INT Bobby Rainey-10 carries for 25 yards, 1 TD Receivers-11 drops Chris Bullard-9 tackles, 5 solo, 2 TFL, 1 sack Analysis-Just a pathetic all around game by everyone, especially Jakes and the WR's/TE's. Jakes will never see the field as a WKU QB again as long as I'm here...He's off the depth chart entirely. Simmons played great honestly, the drops just ruined any chance at a good statline or good performance for us. Next up, at Arkansas State Edited by Mofoticon, Jul 20 2010, 03:34 AM.

Fuck Jakes. On the plus side you did show some promise in the middle of the schedule. Hopefully some of these 1 star recruits end up as gems and get you some speed (Or the ability to catch... at all.) |

We signed our 6th recruit...** Juco CB Ben Hall from Deltona, Florida (rated 136th out of CBs) 10th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 0 Arkansas State 3 2nd WKU 3 Arkansas State 3 3rd WKU 0 Arkansas State 14 4th WKU 17 Arkansas State 7 Final Arkansas State 27 WKU 20 stats William Simmons-10 for 21, 147 yards, 1 TD 1 INT Bobby Rainey-13 carries for 92 yards William Simmons-8 carries for 47 yards, 1 TD Blake Ayers-1 catch for 53 yards Quinterranc Cooper-1 TD Thomas Majors-9 tackles, 9 solo, 2 TFL, 1 INT Clendenin/Lewis/Allen-1 sack each Analysis-We pulled off an incredible comeback in the 4th, down from 20-3 to tie it up at 20-20...and our defense had a 3 and 19 with about 230 left to stop them and try to get the ball back to win it...but we gave it up and they scored with a minute left. We came close to scoring ourselves, but were stranded at their 20 with 6 seconds left as we turned it over on downs. Simmons was too tired to play some late, so Vasquez came in and was awful on some of the final drive...Need to move Simmons off the D and special teams for good. Very good progress on offense for us and we showed a lot coming back, just not good enough to win. We are now 1-9, and 1-5 in conference. Next up, our final home game for the year vs Mid Tennessee State |

11th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 3 MTSU 7 2nd WKU 14 MTSU 0 3rd WKU 3 MTSU 7 4th WKU 3 MTSU 0 Final WKU 23 MTSU 14 stats William Simmons-4 for 12, 30 yards Bobby Rainey-25 carries for 164 yards, 1 TD William Simmons-12 carries for 85 yards Andrew Pettijohn-1 catch for 20 yards Thomas Majors-12 tackles, 11 solo, 2 TFL Chris Bullard-5 tackles, 5 Solo, 32 yard INT return for a TD Analysis-We did it! We got win no.2, and against one of the better teams in the Sun Belt! We got the lead 10-7 in the 2nd, then we got a huge, huge pick 6 from Bullard to go up 17-7 at the half. We played as conservatively as we could in the 2nd half, making no dumb throws or fumbles and just running the clock out. They got within 6 at 20-14, but our D forced a fumble and Majors recovered, which set us up for a FG and we never looked back. They were 5-0 in the conference before this, so as far as I'm concerned, our season is a success...doubled our win total, and beat one of the best teams in our conference. Up next, season finale at Troy |

I think the real success will be seeing how these recruits turn out :shifty: Still it's nice to see your run game is improving and your D isn't a total sieve. Finishing strong is good and with better talent (I'd hope) coming in, you could really start to get better next year. |

We signed our 7th, 8th, and 9th recruits....all *, DT Adam Henderson from Berkly, Missouri (151th out of DTs), WR Curtis Dixon from Lombard, Illinois (232nd) and Juco Sophomore C Gavin Goff from Thomas, Kentucky (88th) 12th Game Scoring Summary 1st WKU 0 Troy 14 2nd WKU 10 Troy 3 3rd WKU 7 Troy 14 4th WKU 0 Troy 10 Final WKU 17 Troy 41 stats William Simmons-17 for 31 for 141 yards William Simmons-14 carries for 109 yards, 1 TD Bobby Rainey-14 carries for 97 yards, 1 TD Braxston Miller-3 catches for 26 yards Mark Santoro-10 tackles, 7 solo, 2 TFL Analysis-Our season is now over at 2-10 (2-6)...Overall I'm obviously not pleased with the record, but I saw a lot of progress from the beginning to the end...We settled on Simmons at QB and he played well, including today, but Troy is too talented and took over late to win. Unfortunately Simmons is a senior, so he's leaving, but Rainey will be back, and I'm excited for that. Season ended wrap-up to be posted |

2-10 is damn good for what you were working with. It will be interesting to see what you do at QB this next season. |

UGH. Still, a good sign with three Mid-Majors in the BCS. Also a better sign is you signed two Guards. Hopefully they can buy your offense some more time. |
