Year Two (2011) | Week 1 Review -------------------------- Minnesota Golden Gophers at USC Trojans MINN - 20 USC - 52 Player Stats: RB Michael Ellis Rushing Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM ....18 .........54......3.0....1........9.......12.....0.......2.......0 Receiving Receptions / Yards / AVG / TD / Long / YAC / Drops ......2............34......17.0.....1......27......24.......0 Kick Return Returns / Yards / AVG / TD / Long .....3.........79......26.3.....0......53 Punt Return Returns / Yards / AVG / TD / Long .....4.........60......15.0.....0......28 Nothing spectacular running the ball yet but a very nice debut for the do-everything back from LA. POTG: Matt Barkley Akron Zips at The Ohio State Buckeyes ZIPS - 3 BUCKS - 63 Player Stats: QB Chris Ticon Passing QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks ...177.4.............20...............27..........175......4.....0......74%........8.7......34......0 Rushing Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM .....3 ...........4.......0.0......0........4........0.....0.......0.......0 A solidly efficient first outing for Ticon. If he can keep that pace against the tougher teams on the schedule the Buckeyes will be sitting pretty in the standings for quite a while. POTG: Chris Ticon Louisiana-Monroe Redhawks at Alabama Crimson Tide ULM - 0 BAMA - 66 Player Stats: QB Donald Doccers Passing QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks ...291.9.............12...............15..........182......5.....0......80%.......8.7......34......0 Rushing Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM .....4 ..........20.......5.0......1.......27........24.....0.......0.......0 Not an overly strenuous day for Donald Doccers but a healthy running game and an over-matched opponent isn't needing of any heroic efforts. Solid game building a rapport with his wide recievers and that should pay off with a tough game up next week against a very good Nittany Lions squad. WR Christian Benjamin Receiving Receptions / Yards / AVG / TD / Long / YAC / Drops ......4.............92.....23.0.....2......46......25.......0 Kick Return Returns / Yards / AVG / TD / Long .....1.........20......20.....0......20 While lacking in high reception numbers he sure makes the most of his touches in his debut. I think it's going to be a lot of fun watching this kid catch passes this season. Getting to see him get a bit of work in the return game is a nice bonus as well. POTG: Donald Doccers Top 25 1. Bama is a predominant run team - Richardson had 27 carries and Ingram had 17, but you also split time with your backup pretty evenly in that game as well. 2nd string QB AJ McCarren was 7 for 11 for 108 yards and a TD. As the schedule gets a bit meatier you'll likely start taking control the entire game and get more production. |

Year Two (2011) | Week 2 Review -------------------------- The Ohio State Buckeyes at Miami Hurricanes BUCKS - 20 MIAMI - 13 Player Stats: QB Chris Ticon Passing QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks ...112.0.............19...............38..........265......1.....1......50%.......13.9......31......4 Rushing Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM ....10 ..........-17......-1.7......0........2........0.....0.......0.......1 Definitely not the greatest game he could have had. He needs to work on his accuracy and on getting rid of the ball a bit faster, but a win is a win as OSU clears the first big hurdle of the first season with the superstar freshman gunslinger at the helm. POTG: Dan Herron Alabama Crimson Tide at Penn State Nittany Lions BAMA - 35 PSU - 7 Player Stats: QB Donald Doccers Passing QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks ...151.2.............15...............24..........238......1.....1......62%.......15.8......52......2 Rushing Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM .....6 ...........9.......1.5......2........5.........0.....0.......0.......0 Not the greatest game for Doccers, but on the road against a top tier opponent it could have been a lot worse. He has some good things to take from the game and did make enough of those game changing plays that gets teams a W. Alabama is right on track as the #1 team in the country with what could be the most talented offense in decades. WR Christian Benjamin Receiving Receptions / Yards / AVG / TD / Long / YAC / Drops ......7............136.....19.4.....1......52......67.......0 On the plus side he's proving to be a dynamic weapon and Donald Doccers favorite target. On the negative side, Nick Saban has apparently decided to go in a different direction on the return team. Only time will tell whether this is just Tricky Nicky doing some tinkering before conference play or if it becomes a permanent move. POTG: Donald Doccers (2) Top 25 1. Alabama (38) 2-0 2.
