Summary:
Very solid first outing for Tyler Scott. Showed a lot of quality play out there but also showed a bit of weakness. He ran into a little trouble moving the ball once the team got around the 30-35 yard mark and he'll need to start converting those long field goals into touchdown drives as the season goes along and the competition improves but still, a win over a Big 10 team in week one isn't anything to look down at when most teams are playing directional schools.

Rushing

.....9..........13......1.4....0......4........0.....0.......0.......1

Summary:
A typical stat padder against a weak oponent, albehit on the road... Can't help but wonder if the Buckeyes are going to have yet another tough year keeping Ticon on his feet though as there is no justification for giving two sacks against this level of opponent.

POTG: Chris Ticon (6)

.....6..........28......3.5....0......8........0.....0.......0.......0

Summary:
I don't know what is worse, Alabama coming off a National Title season for the ages scheduling the Toppers.. or the fact that Donald Doccers didn't exactly blow me away playing against them... a pick and a sack against the worst team in D1? Really?

Summary:
There is a word for this type of performance... Pathetic. Seriously this is the best you can do against that defense? Not only did he not rack up great stats against one of the worst defenses in college football... he was at best the 3rd best WR on his team in this game statistically.

Rushing
Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM
.....13.........34......2.6....0......10.......7.....0.......2.......0

Summary:
Ouch. Scott and the rest of the Irish Offense played pretty solid against top 10 opposition but the Notre Dame secondary simply got lit up all day long. Something that I hate to say will probably be a recurring issue this season as talent is a bit lacking and depth is nearly nonexistant.

POTG: Tate Forcier

USC Trojans at Rutgers Scarlet Knights

........6.........54.......9.0.....0......12

This is a great game for Ellis but talent has never been his issue. The question remains, can he do this consistently and be that next great Trojan Tailback.

POTG: Michael Ellis (1)

Cincinnati Bearcats at Ohio State Buckeyes

CIN - 7
BUCKS - 52

Player Stats:
QB Chris Ticon(Mofo)

Passing
QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks

Rushing
Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM
.......5............11......2.2....0......6........6........0.......1.......0

Summary:
Ok this was NOT a stat padder against a weak oponent, this was just Chris Ticon and the Ohio State Buckeyes steamrolling a top 15 ranked team. Air, Ground, Defense and Special Teams, every facet of the game was just a complete mismatch in favor of the Buckeyes in this one.

POTG: Chris Ticon (7)

Alabama Crimson Tide at Tulane Green Wave

BAMA - 42
TUL - 10

Player Stats:
QB Donald Doccers(Doc)

Passing
QB Rating / Completions / Attempts / Yards / TD / INT / CMP% / APC / Long / Sacks

Rushing
Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM
........6..........-8......-1.3....0......5........4.......0.......1........0

Summary:
Some good things to take away from this one, but some big glaring negatives as well. This team has everything it needs to repeat but it has to start putting things together quickly... like really quickly as a big game to open the conference season against Arkansas is coming up next.

WR Christian Benjamin(CC)

Punt Return

.......2.........12.......6.0.....0......12

Summary:
Thats what I'm talking about. Following up a sub par performance with a statement game is exactly what he needed... now he needs to go out and do it again against a salty Razorback squad next week.

QB Kyle Polo(Polo)

Punt Return

.....12........92.......7.6.....0......15

Summary:
Yay, you beat an FCS team and nobody got hurt. That is what's called buying yourself a W right there.

POTG: Drew Allen - OU QB

Michigan State Spartans at Notre Dame Fighting Irish

MSU - 21
ND - 31

Player Stats:

Rushing
Attempts / Yards/ YPC / TD / Long / YAC / 20+ / BTK / FUM
.....17.........30......1.7.......0.......8.......4........0.......1.......0

Summary:
Solid game for Scott and the rest of the Irish Offense. Need to work on the sacks and we'll have to see going forward if this becomes a successful season on which to build or not, but at least we know the Fighting Irish won't go winless against the state of Michigan this year.

POTG: Tyler Scott (1)

Wisconsin Badgers at Oregon State Beavers

Player Stats:
K Justin Howe(Hajj)

Punting
PNTS / YDS / AVG / NETYDS / NETAVG / BLK / IN20 / TB / LNG
...6........196....32.6........67............11.1........0.......1.......3......63

Summary:
Some Booming punts and great numbers for Howe and he's still 100% in the field goal department... but missing two extra points while having one blocked has to be a disappointment. It didn't hurt them against this overmatched opponent but going forward that needs to be fixed before it turns costly.
