So I screwed up the prediction contest because the Vikings are the #1 seed. So... Scoring will change a bit. No points will be given out for the NFC Divisional Round. |

Posted Image Jim Gray Interview with Adrian Peterson Gray: Adrian, you’ve been the best back in the NFL, and you’ve finally made it to the Super Bowl. What are you feeling this week? Peterson: I gotta admit I’m a little nervous you know. A couple of weeks ago it was a big deal to beat the Saints considering they beat us the year before you know? I’ve waited my whole life for this game, this moment. I’m going to bring all I’ve got. Gray: Your role in the passing game has much improved this season. What’s different this season? Peterson: Coach Childress, WC and I just came up with ways to make me even more effective. Every day I worked on running routes, and finding out where WC liked to throw the ball and stuff. Last season Brett Favre, and I have a ton of respect for Brett Favre, he liked to gun it a lot, and we did a lot of play action with that. This season was about getting me the ball as much as possible and seeing what we can do. Gray: What are your feelings toward some of the things said by New England Head Coach Bill Belichek? One of them was as follows: ‘Adrian Peterson , we’ve seen guys just like him and we’ve never have a problem. We’ve had the blueprint to stop Adrian Peterson before, and we’ll take care of it again’. Peterson: I respect that he’s gotta tell his guys and the media they know how to stop me. Just as he should respect that I’m going to run all over New England Sunday Night. I’ve waited my whole life for this man, and I’m going to make the most of it. Gray: Predictions for the game? Peterson: I’m gonna say, Vikings 37, Patriots 17 Gray: Thanks for your time AP, best of luck. Bob Costas Interview with Tom Brady Costas: It’s familiar territory Tom, you’ve been here before. Is this one more or less special that the Super Bowls you’ve been in before? Brady: I wouldn’t say more or less special, every time I get here I take it as seriously as I can. But admittedly, there is a sense of having to come back, or make up, for the loss to the Giants a few years ago…. Costas: Still getting to you? Brady: …a little bit. After that happened I got hurt, and then we struggled the year after. No one gave us much of a chance to get here this season, and here we are. Costas: Has Coach Belichek given you any different advice, or motivation, in order for you to make sure you win this one. Brady: Nothing out of the ordinary. At this point Coach and I know what works best for us, and how we’ll attack the Vikings on Sunday. Costas: The Vikings come into the playoffs rolling, outscoring opponents 81-20. Any worry that you’ll have to put up 40 points or even more to win this game. Brady: It depends on the flow of the game. I think our defense can take care of them, but if we have to score 40, then I’ll do everything I can to make sure we score 40. Costas: Predictions? Brady: The New England Patriots get back on top. Minnesota Vikings vs. New England Patriots First Quarter S. Gostkowski 21 yard FG, 0-3 Patriots (12:14 remaining) S.
