#8 Washington Wizards @ #1 Milwaukee Bucks Bucks won season series 3-1 Bucks in 6 Goes longer than it should due to CP3 and Smith injuries but I think I will prevail #7 Miami Heat @ #2 Philadelphia 76ers Season series split at 2 76ers in 6 Heat are on fire since their Adonis trade and will give the 76ers all they can handle, wouldn't be surprised by an upset here #6 Cleveland Cavaliers @ #3 Orlando Magic Magic won season series 3-1 Magic in 5 Cavs are in disarray since the Berea injury and will go down quickly most likely in the playoffs. #5 Boston Celtics @ #4 Detroit Pistons Celtics won season series 2-1 Pistons in 6 Pistons have the all EBL C/PF combo and are too talented to go down in round 1 with homecourt. They may make a big run. #8 Los Angeles Lakers @ #1 Denver Nuggets Nuggets won season series 4-0 Nuggets in 5 Lakers are overmatched here #7 Portland Trailblazers @ #2 Golden State Warriors Blazers won season series 3-1 Warriors in 7 Warriors will build on their big regular season and barely hold off the talented Blazers #6 Los Angeles Clippers @ #3 Oklahoma City Thunder Season series split at 2 Thunder in 5 At least the Clippers finally made the playoffs #5 Memphis Grizzlies @ #4 Minnesota Timberwolves Season series split at 2 TWolves in 5 No Harris ruins the Grizzlies chances Bucks over Pistons in 7 76ers over Magic in 6 TWolves over Nuggets in 6 Thunder over Warriors in 6 Bucks over 76ers in 6 Thunder over TWolves in 5 Bucks over Thunder in 6 |

#8 Washington Wizards @ #1 Milwaukee Bucks - I think this series, thanks to a decimated backcourt, will be far closer than you'd expect. The Wizards back 3 is a lot better than most people think while the Bucks so-so depth at PG might be a problem here. With that said, a loss here would be crushing and the only way it can happen is if the Wizards win every game without CP3 in it and manage to get one upset. But they won't, because FBB hates me. Bucks in 7 #7 Miami Heat @ #2 Philadelphia 76ers While Miami has been hot, the 76ers haven't exactly been sleeping into the post-season either. Both teams have been built well, but I really like Ron's set-up right now. I think Hassan's work on Drummond along with the Milsap/Griffin match-up's are pretty even, but I love the 4some in the 76ers back court while I am not sold on Jonas Jerebko slowing down Thad Young/Lou Williams at the SF spots. Unless Conley does something really special at the PG spot I see Philly advancing here. 76ers in 6 #6 Cleveland Cavaliers @ #3 Orlando Magic This match-up comes down to Z-Bo in my eyes. If he can score efficiently and take advantage of the Magic's biggest weakness (Big men) than the Cavs can win. Kyrie Irving however is way too much for Garcia to handle and the defense at the PG/SG/SF spots will make it tough for Tyreke to dominate like he usually does. This could be a very good year for the Atlantic. Magic in 6 #5 Boston Celtics @ #4 Detroit Pistons Despite imploding his team, Josh's C's are actually still pretty good. Marc Gasol is a handful to deal with, but David Lee will need to play signifigantly better to slow down the All-EBL front court of Pau & Dwight. Teague & Ellis will need to have big series against the wings of Detroit for Boston to win, and the Celtics might even be better off starting Emeka Okafor (If only to slow down the Pistons). I'm actually going for the upset and taking the C's here. Boston in 7 #5 Boston Celtics @ #1 Milwaukee Bucks - Assuming they are healthy (And not eliminated) the Bucks can't be beat by any team. Ellis would need to absolutely dominate with everyone else holding off the Bucks starters. That won't happen, and the Bucks will win. Milwaukee in 5 #3 Orlando Magic @ #2 Philadelphia 76ers - Two of the best SF/SG/PG combo's in the league will match-up here, but the real key is Milsap. He's a better post scorer than anyone on the Magic and that combo's are pretty much even in my eyes. So I give the slightest of edges to Philly. 76ers in 7 #2 Philadelphia 76ers @ #1 Milwaukee Bucks - IF Hassan Whitehead can slow down either Favors or Bogut the 76ers have a shot. Thad is probably better than Granger & AI is definitely better than JR Smith thanks to his D. CP3 could be a real handful for Rubio though and that front court is just a lot to deal with so I'll take the Bucks in probably their toughest match-up in the post-season. Bucks in 7 #8 Los Angeles Lakers @ #1 Denver Nuggets - The Lakers certainly aren't the worst 8th seed I've seen (And some could argue they are better than Washington) but Denver is a proven playoff team that has overcome the loss of Nenad Miljenovic to STILL win the west. Jordan Crawford is going to get killed my Marcus Thornton and nobody in EBL has been able to stop Melo in the playoffs (Although you'd think Andray Blatche as All-Defensive team #1 might do it). Amare is going to have to dominate up front with Deron doing a lot at PG, but there are just a few too many hole's in LA to see them getting the upset here. Depth really helps the Nuggets (Delonte West, anyone?) Nuggets in 5 #7 Portland Trailblazers @ #2 Golden State Warriors Inside vs. Outside, sort of. The Warriors have had a great SF/SG/PG combo for many years now and that still rings true now (God help Ben Gordon against Austin Rivers) but the real key is if they can stop Landry & Bosh. This should be closer than you'd expect but I think James Anderson can slow Bosh enough and Bynum/Landry might cancel each other out. If it comes down to PG/SG (Like it seems it could), I have to take the Warriors. Warriors in 7 #6 Los Angeles Clippers @ #3 Oklahoma City Thunder Finally, LA is in the playoffs. Unfortunately they don't have the one thing that OKC has their biggest problem with: Post Scoring. The Clippers at this stage are sort of clones of OKC, but nobody in EBL can match-up with KD, Westbrook & Nelson at those spots. The Clippers are going to be stuck playing OKC's game, and they've proven time and time again that it's very hard to do that. Still, the Clippers are on the right track. Thunder in 5 #5 Memphis Grizzlies @ #4 Minnesota Timberwolves - Minnesota seemed to start off hot, but after Harmon left the teams been stagnant to worse than before. Usually these guys are good for a 2nd round appearance but I'd have a hard time seeing one here. John Wall will have a tough time with Terrence Jones (The presumed starter) and the rest of the Grizzlies starting line-up is so good on D. Not having Brewer will ruin their homecourt, and Yao/Randle seem over matched by the Memphis big men. barring something special out of Luol Deng I'll have to take Memphis here. Grizzlies in 6 #5 Memphis Grizzlies @ #1 Denver Nuggets - The Grizzlies will need huge performances out of JSmoove & Cousins against the Nuggets front court. Wade will also need to exploit Thornton's D but there is no way in hell that either of their SF's can match-up with Melo. The PG spot is also a question mark with Nenad presumably coming back here. It's very close, which really means I'll have to go with depth which the Nuggets have more of. Nuggets in 7 #3 Oklahoma City Thunder @ #2 Golden State Warriors - Andrew Bynum is THE difference between these two teams. James Anderson will obviously have trouble, but at this stage it's hard to separate Rivers from Westbrook and Curry is better than Nelson. OKC has little big man scoring and if Bynum does what he can do, I see the Warriors stopping us from seeing yet another Thunder/Nuggets match-up. Warriors in 6 #2 Golden State Warriors @ #1 Denver Nuggets - Melo will own in this series, but River will be a lot for Thornton to handle too. I think PG goes to the Warriors and again, Bynum is key. He's better than anything Denver has up front, and Brand is just good enough to counter balance the opposition. I think the kings will finally be dethroned here as we see Golden State get to the promised land. Warriors in 7 Finals: #2 Golden State Warriors @ #1 Milwaukee Bucks So, this is where it comes to a head. Curry & CP3 is a great match-up to watch, and Rivers could have a big series against JR Smith. Sadly I don't now if Anderson can match-up to Granger and I KNOW that Brand will be overmatched at PF by Favors. The Bucks starting five is too good to lose to any team in my eyes (When healthy) and I see them slipping past the Warriors here and getting another set of rings. Bucks in 6 |
