UCW Friday Nights Friday, April 15th, 2011 Portland, Oregon Heath Slater w/ Ricky Ortiz vs. 'The Pope' D'Angelo Dinero This is a very good bout, as Slater does a great job putting Dinero's striking offense over while Ortiz helps him enough to keep the fans interested. Dinero takes Ortiz out as a factor when he hits the 5-Up uppercut onto Ortiz, sending him off the apron. He than dodges Slater and nails the Elijah Express in the corner when out runs Scott Steiner, who beans him with a lead pipe for the DQ finish! Steiner is on the attack still as Slater gets up, and Steiner nails him too! Steiner starts measuring up Dinero, when out runs Buff Bagwell of all people and once he's in the ring he tackles Steiner down! Scott is shocked and rolls out as Eric Bischoff emerges, clearly not happy. 80 - 77 - 83 Bischoff says he's seen enough. These two will settle their score at Inception and as an added bonus... it's an Elite 8 qualifier! Steiner is grinning ear to ear as Buff checks on the downed Pope. 79 We are backstage with Mark Madden, and he's with the legendary duo of Triple H & Kurt Angle. He asks for their thoughts just days away from a 'grudge' match with Legacy. Kurt says he can't speak for the Game, but frankly he can hardly wait to get those two 'pampered pussies' in the ring so he can stretch them out and make them see just how much he deserves his spot. HHH is a bit more calm, saying that he understands Legacy's frustration, but when they put their hands on him? When they mugged him and left him a bloody mess in the ring? They brought what's coming on themselves. HHH says that while he and Angle aren't exactly two birds of a feather, they are Hall of Famers and will show just how good they are as a team against the Rogue Raiders. 92 We head back to the ring, and Jack Swagger is standing with a microphone in hand. He says he's going to properly prepare for Sunday by making an open 'All-American American Challenge' to anyone who wants to try and outwrestle him. Some rocking country music hits and out steps Skip Sheffield in a cowboy hat and leather vest. Swagger chuckles once Sheffield is inside the ring and asks if he's serious. A 'meathead' like Skip probably doesn't know a wristlock from a wristwatch. Skip says he might not be too bright, but he sure as hell knows a big 'nerd' when he sees one. Swagger says he's not a nerd, he's cool. Sheffield pauses a little, letting the crowd laugh at the fact Swagger thinks he's cool, before he tells Jack that he's going to regret this open challenge because 'woot woot, whatitis, Skip's gonna beat him down!" 71 'All-American American' Jack Swagger vs. Skip Sheffield This is a solid bout as Swagger does a good job of bouncing around and getting tossed by Skip, who is so strong. Eventually he manages to start working over Sheffeilds leg as commentary note that Swagger is a proficient technician and he's certainly readying Skip for that Ankle Lock. Skip mounts a late comeback but when he tries a body press his leg gives and Swagger grabs the limb and slaps on an Ankle Lock for the tap out. As always, Swagger celebrates like a complete jackass when his music is cut off by that of Bobby Lashley! The 'Real Deal' saunters out as Swagger stops mid-lap around the ring and says he'll beat Lashley Sunday, which Bobby just smiles at. 73 - 71 - 76 We are in the interview pit, and Mark Madden is with Desmond Wolfe & Douglas Williams, AKA the Rogue Raiders. Williams immediately snatches the mic as asks if Stephanie Mcmahon thinks they are a joke. Does she have no respect for tag team wrestling? Wolfe chimes in now and says that the two of them are Britain's best. They are every bit the technical wrestlers Kurt Angle and HHH are, and the only regrets that'll be around here will be when Triple H and Angle regret facing them! They promise to use the two legends as stepping stones as we cut to commericial. 73 El Hijo Del Santo, 'The Great' Keiji Mutoh & Michael Shane vs. 'Loose Cannon' Teddy Hart, Perro Aguayo Jr. & Essa Rios This match comes from the rivalry between Shane/Hart and gives Mutoh & Santo one last chance to see each other up close. Not surprisingly, this is a spotty (But good match). The heels isolate Santo for a long period, but for the most part this is quick tags, top rope flips and a whole lot of miraculous recovery. The end comes when Mutoh gets hit with a lowblow, but Yoshi Tatsu runs out and distracts Essa Rios long enough for Mutoh to recover and nail the Shining Wizard for the 3! 71 - 63 - 79 Backstage in Bischoff's office after the break, and in walks Teddy Hart. He says he's sick of Michael Shane. Claiming that Shane 'needs to pay a family debt' and demands a ladder match with him at Inception! Bischoff tells him that's fine, in fact it'll help spike ratings and fill out his card. Hart tells him he'll put on a show and leaves the room with Bischoff smiling. 78 We are suddenly rushed elsewhere however, where MVP is getting stomped on by Alex Riley & The Miz! Miz screams that MVP doesn't belong in his league and that he's not even going to make it to Inception! He yells at A-Ri to fetch a chair and the lackey does, handing it to Miz who blasts MVP and bust shim open! Finally Mr. Anderson shows up, fighting off Miz before the duo run off. Anderson yells at them a little before checking on MVP as commentary wonder what condition he'll be in on Sunday. 87 The Rogue Raiders (Desmond Wolfe & Douglas Williams) vs. 'The Game' Triple H & 'Olympic Hero' Kurt Angle This is a very good match as Wolfe & Williams are allowed a lot of offense which Ernest Miller says it due to 'experience' as a team. The two men isolate Kurt Angle and wear him down with submission and tight suplexes, making quick tags and generally functioning like a well oiled machine. Angle manages to get free when he slips out of a uppercut and nails Wolfe with a big german suplex. The slow crawl leads to the hot tag, and HHH is a house o ffire hitting clotheslines & punches before drilling Williams with a spinebuster. He hits his facebuster on Wolfe and starts preparing for the Pedigree when, surprise, Legacy swarm the ring and attack, causing na immidiate DQ finish. 87 - 85 - 89 Angle is pulled off the apron by Harris before the big man drills him with a lariat. Henning joins him and a beat down as HHH is fighting both DiBiase & Rhodes off before Rhodes nails a punt to the junk and DiBiase drills 'The Game' with the Dream Street. Outside Cornette barks orders and Harris follows a she powerbombs Angle hard against the ringside floor, leaving him writhing in pain. The 4 members of Legacy and Cornette are finally interrupted by security but head up the ramp smiling, sending another message that with their numbers... no one is safe. 91 Overall: 77

GCW's Saturday Night Main Event Saturday, April 16, 2011-8 PM on Fox Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI Scott Stanford and Mick Foley are your hosts. They talk about the United States Championship tournament that begin tonight, starting with a rematch from last week, Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan. Also, we will hear from Hulk Hogan at the hospital as well. Stanford also mentions we will hear from the Undertaker tonight…and in no time, here he comes. The Undertaker makes his way down to the ring, and grabs the microphone. “For years, I have ruled over the darkness in all of professional wrestling. As the Lord of darkness I have defeated many gladiators, from those as strong as a Rock, from those with a sense of Flair, to those whose blood is as Cold as Stone. There are some out there, who wondered if the Undertaker would ever appear in a ring again and if he did, would he be effective. I promise anyone who has doubted the Undertaker that the creatures of the night and I are as strong as ever. I will prove this at Revenge, where I will defeat Sheamus, Randy Orton and my half brother Kane to bring another world championship home to the darkness. As for Randy Orton, you and I have had many battle in the past, and in a way, I respect your arrogance. I know Randy Orton, that you will bring it everytime you enter the ring. And that, I can respect greatly. Nonetheless, I will take you down. Kane, you know me perhaps better than anyone in professional wrestling. You are perhaps my greatest rival. That being said, you also know that no one ends people like the Undertaker does. You know I can take the soul of anyone I wish at anytime better than anyone. Sheamus, you are the unknown variable in all of this. All I can tell you is that at the end of Revenge, you will no longer be champion, and along with Kane and Randy Orton, you will…Rest…In…Peace… Overall: 89% Señoras y señores: Lugar de este hombre! Y permítame presentarle el futuro Campeón de Estados Unidos Él es un hombre que es muy peligroso Él es un hombre cuyo coche vale más que su salario anual Es increíble El único! Alberto del RRRRRrrio! United States Championship Tournament: Round 1 Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan This is a rematch from last week. When mat wrestling early on, Del Rio gets the upperhand and mouths to Bryan that this is why he beat him last week. Bryan gets out of a wristlock by trapping Del Rio’s body in a leg scissors then taking him down. Bryan whips Del Rio off the ropes and backdrops him over the top rope. Bryan is suddenly brawling with Del Rio, which is totally against Bryan’s traditional style. He rams Del Rio into the steel railing and Del Rio tries to back off, leading to Ricardo Rodriguez to low blow Bryan from behind without the referee noticing. Del Rio then rams Bryan shoulder first into the steel post. Del Rio brings the match back into the ring, where he works on the arm, ramming his knee into the elbow, and elbow dropping the arm. Bryan regains control hitting some kicks, and then hits a belly to belly suplex for a 2 count. Del Rio though, stops Bryan in his tracks with the kitchen sink, a knee to the groin. Del Rio locks in the armbar, but Bryan’s legs reach the ropes. When they get to their feet Del Rio hits a beautiful step up enzuigiri. Another cover, but only 2. Bryan surprises Del Rio with a roundhouse kick, and then tries to quickly lock on the LeBell Lock, but Del Rio escapes to the ropes. Rodriguez then pokes Bryan in the eye, enough of a distraction for Del Rio to grab Bryan and locks on the armbar! Bryan fights it for a good minute, and almost escapes by getting to his feet, but eventually, he is forced to tap. Winner: Alberto Del Rio at 13:14 by submission Overall: 88% Crowd Reaction: 83% Match Quality: 93% ::COMMERCIAL BREAK:: We are back in Vince McMahon’s office, where he is with William Regal. They originally were discussing Cambridge University, for whatever reason. Anyway, McMahon comes up with an idea, that Regal needs a tune-up match for Austin at Revenge, so decides that tonight, Regal will face Brock Lesnar. Regal stands in Vince’s office stunned, before slowly making his way out of the office. Overall: 93% Backstage, we catch up to Randy Orton. He is asked why he did what he did to Hulk Hogan on Wednesday Night. Orton just looks at the announcer and smiles, before saying “Everyone seems to have forgotten that I am the Legend Killer, first I took out Hogan. Who knows who I will strike next.” Orton then attacks the announcer, slamming him into the wall, and then punting him. Officials hold Orton back and they call EMTs for the announcer. Overall: 86% Judias Mesias vs. Kane This matchup seems rather even on paper, at least physicality wise. Mesias hits some punches, and continues them until Kane nearly decapitates him with a clothesline. Kane hits Mesias with a one arm slam, and then goes to the top rope. Kane hits a flying clothesline. He then grabs Mesias by the throat, and the chokeslam is academic for the three count. Winner: Kane by pin at 2:11 Overall: 74% Crowd Reaction: 73% Match Quality: 76% ::COMMERCIAL BREAK:: Edge and Christian are backstage discussing tonight’s match, Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin. They talk about how it is like old times that they are teaming up again to win the tag team title, and talk about how Christian will take out Benjamin tonight. Overall: 88% Christian w/Edge vs. Shelton Benjamin w/Charlie Haas and A-Train Nexus V3’s new enforcer, A-Train, stands in Benjamin’s corner and keeps his eye on Edge. Christian took control early on hitting some punches, and backdropping Benjamin. Benjamin took control with a superkick and then hit a spinning heel kick as well. Benjamin went for the T-Bone early on, but Christian reversed it and hit a reverse DDT. Christian then went to the top rope, but Haas shook the rope and Christian crotched himself on the top rope. Edge went over and attacked Haas, but A-Train took him out with a big clothesline. Benjamin tries to superple Christian off the top rope, but Christian shoved him off, then hit a missile dropkick. Christian goes for the Killswitch, but gets his head taken off by an A-Train Bicycle Kick. Referee calls for the DQ, but The World’s Greatest Tag Team 3 on 2 Edge and Christian, and A-Train takes both out with a Derailer. A-Train and the World’s Greatest Tag Team stand tall. Winner: Christian by DQ at 6:42 Overall: 88% Crowd Reaction: 78% Match Quality: 98% We cut to a pre-taped interview at Brothman Hospital in California. Hulk Hogan is sitting in bed, and footage again of what happened last Wednesday night is shown.
Hogan is asked what his diagnosis is, to which he responds that he received a severe concussion and a stinger due to Randy Orton’s punt. Hogan says that at times, his vision is blurry and he gets headaches. When asked about Orton, Hogan says that he is for sure going to come back and give Randy Orton what he deserves. Hogan doesn’t promise when we will come back, only that he will and that he will take out Orton first chance he gets. Overall: 94% ::COMMERCIAL BREAK:: Brock Lesnar vs. William Regal Regal seems still stunned that he is even in the ring with Lesnar as his tune up match, and everytime Lesnar comes at him, Regal runs to the corner and grabs the ropes, causing a rope break. Not even a minute into the match Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel slowly walk down to the ring, and that distraction gives Regal what he needs to take advantage, as he kicks Lesnar in the back of the leg and continues to do so until Lesnar shoves him away. Regal goes to attack again, but Lesnar just catches him in a belly to belly suplex. Lesnar goes for the early F5, but Regal surprisingly escapes, and hits his unique neckbreaker. He goes for the quick cover, only to get a one count. Lesnar then clotheslines Regal down. He props Regal up in the corner, and lands three hard shoulders into Regal’s midsection. Lesnar calls for the F5 again, but this time A-Train, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas come out from the crowd and grab the referees attention. Barrett runs onto the apron, but gets nailed by Lesnar. Gabriel comes off the top rope, but Lesnar catches him and then nails him with the F5! Edge and Christian run down to ringside and take out the World’s Greatest Tag Team, which allows A-Train to sneak in, but get clotheslined by Lesnar. Barrett though, hits a low blow, and sets Lesnar up, Wasteland! Nexus V3 escape through the crowd with Edge and Christian chasing them. Regal on the other hand, covers Lesnar and gets the three. Winner: William Regal by pin at 10:10 Overall: 80% Crowd Reaction: 79% Match Quality: 81% Show Overall: 82% TV Rating: 7.83 Edited by RDT, May 5 2011, 01:27 PM.

- We get an exclusive UCW.com interview with Legacy, as Jim Cornette does the yapping. He says he's going to ruin the surprise. He's letting the world know that it'll be Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes representing Legacy in tonight's Main Event. When pressed further about the match, Cornette tells Ernest Miller to 'Buzz off' as we prepare for the PPV itself... 74 UCW Proudly Presents... Posted Image Inception - After a massive pyro display, our hosts Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Todd Grisham welcome us to a historic night right here in Los Angeles, California. The men are interrupted by the music of Eric Bischoff, drawing the ire of the crowd. Bischoff is all smiles, saying that tonight is history. Tonight we move one step closer to finding the Elite 8, and eventually crowning the world champion. Bischoff brags about his talent, saying that while his top stars prepare to be world champions, the 'other' promotions are either crippled or geriatric. Classy. Anyways, he let's us know without further adieu that the first match features the companies 'biggest' star... Batista! The 'Animal' steps out to a loud if not mixed reaction, as he has a smirk on his face. Once in the ring he rests in his corner, seeming rather relaxed ahead of his qualifying match. Bischoff says he's searched hard. That he scouted the world and found a worthy opponent. He found a man every bit the 'animal' that Batista is. So he tells Batista to get ready. To be ready... for SHARK BOY! While some fans pop, the crowd are clearly not happy as Batista puts on a look of faux fear as Shark Boy heads to the ring. 80 Elite 8 Qualifier 'The Animal' Batista vs. Shark Boy This is absolute decimation. Batista just tosses HSakr Boy anywhere he pleases as Todd Grisham questions how Eric Bischoff could possibly think this man deserved a tournament spot. After a couple of sneaky dropkicks, Shark Boy's brief comeback ends when his attempt at the Deep Sea Drop is stopped and he's instead thrown hard into the corner. One spinebuster/Batista Bomb later, and we have our very first Elite 8 qualifier. 71 - 72 - 71 Ladder Match 'Loose Cannon' Teddy Hart vs. Michael Shane This is the best of the three singles matches these men have. Hart uses the ladder early and often, complimenting his high flying skills by springing off of it for various splashes. Shane hangs tough and gets a long two after dumping Hart hard on the steel ladder with a backdrop, but ultimately Hart seems to have the edge and nails a impressive top of the ladder Hart Attack (450 Splash) for the three. 69 - 61 - 77 Elite 8 Qualifier 'The Great' Keiji Mutoh vs. El Hijo Del Santo These two have an outstanding match. The veterans pull out all the stops. Mutoh controls the pace with some tight submissions and absolutely brutal looking kicks to the arm of Del Santo. The Mexican fights back though and pulls out a breath taking Asai Moonsault to the outside which almost results in a double countout. After a few more minutes of great back and forth Del Santo misses a top rope dropkick and hits the ref. Mutoh than lines Del Santo up and sprays him with the mist! Everyone is shocked as Del Santo stumbles a little, grabbing the back of his head and... ripping his mask off? He's got ANOTHER mask underneath! Mutoh is stunned which gives Del Santo a chance to dump Mutoh with a Headscissors takedown and than nail the Topé de Cristo (Diving headbutt) for the 3! After a hard fought match, Mutoh lets a wry smile come across hsi face as the two legends hug and Mutoh raises Del Santo's hand to an appreciative pop from the crowd. 81 - 70 - 92 Elite 8 Qualifier 'The Real Deal' Bobby Lashley vs. 'The All-American American' Jack Swagger Swagger is frustrated early, as Lashley simply powers his way out of Swagger's grappling attempts. The All-American starts to leave the ring, yelling at fans and complaining about anything and everything. Eventually big Lashley follows but it proves a poor move as Swagger manages to trips up the powerhouse and sends him hard into the steel steps. Using the outside of the ring Swagger works of Bobby before sending him back in and establishing some control. Swagger's run of dominance is cut off when he goes for a gutwrench powerbomb, as Lashley just powers out of it with a big backdrop. One big spear later and Lashley calls for the Dominator. He scoops Swagger up, but the All-American breaks free and than rolls Lashley into a tight cradle, grabbing some tights and stealing a win! The fans boo as Swagger slips out of the ring, celebrating up the ramp as an angry Lashley fumes in the ring. 78 - 79 - 78 Elite 8 Qualifier 'The Pope' D'Angelo Dinero vs. 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner These two don't even reach the ring, as Steiner ambushes Dinero on his way down the ramp and starts battering the Pope with clubbing blows and sending him hard against the guardrails. The ref yells for him to get things inside, as Steiner tells him to 'Fuck off' and grabs a steel char, crushing it over Dinero's head! The ref calls for the bell as Steiner drags a dazed Dinero to ringside. Once there he knocks the equipment of the announce team over before hooking Dinero up and drilling him with a double underhook powerbomb through the table! Just as Steiner looks ready to continues his assault with a steel pipe, Buff Bagwell rushes out and chases him off as the commentary team wonder why the hell Steiner would just give up an opportunity like this. 78 - 82 - 72 Elite 8 Qualifier Montel Vontavious Porter w/ Mr. Anderson vs. The Miz w/ Alex Riley A solid bout here, as Mr. Anderson keeps A-Ri at bay and these two wrestle a good clean match. Miz and MVP prove every bit each other's equals as they go move for move with Miz hitting a big neckbreaker while MVP manages a long two count on his a running boot to the mush. After a ref bump, Riley tries to get involved one time too many and Mr. Anderson, not shy of confrontation, just KO's him with a big clothesline and grabs the briefcase he wanted to send in the ring. He tries throwing it to MVP, but the Miz intercepts and than manages to hit MVP instead! Mr. Anderson tries to go back, but Riley is grabbing his ankle as the groggy ref counts the 3 to the crowds chagrin. The Miz leaves with a smirk as Riley let's Mr. Anderson back into the ring, instead celebrating up the ramp with his mentor. Anderson checks on MVP, who pushes him off. The two men look ready for a confrontation, but cooler heads prevail and they leave together although it's clear MVP isn't too happy here. 82 - 83 - 82 Main Event Kurt Angle & Triple H vs. Legacy (Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes) w/ Jim Cornette, Michael Henning and Harris Routunda This is an absolutely awesome bout. DiBiase and Rhodes show they are no chumps and prove to be a well oiled machine as they take apart HHH with quick tags while working over his leg. Everytime the Game seems close to a comeback, Henning distracts Angle or the official and DiBiase and Rhodes drag HHH back for more beating. Harris even goes so far as to hit a flapjack onto the guardrail outside the ring! After this extended beating, Triple H does manage the hot tag and Angle hits both legacy members with big overhead belly to belly suplex's. He even manages to squash both men in the corner before hitting a German/Northern Lights Suplex on both members of Legacy for a long two! Angle is in the zone and pulls the straps down before hitting a big Olympic Slam on Rhodes. He starts picking the ankle when Harris enters the ring and hits him with a chair, drawing an obvious DQ. Henning joins in as the Legacy seem poised to put another 4 on 2 beating when the lights dim... and the Hardys music hits! Matt & Jeff rush out to a huge pop as the Legacy try to fight them off. HHH and Angle are up though and after some brawling, all 4 members of Legacy are forced to bail for the first time in UCW history! In the ring, the two legends and the legendary tag team stand tall, staring down Jim Cornette and his boys to end the show. 92 - 91 - 94 Overall - 79 |
