RWF PRIME TIME Show 1.5 Tony Shiavone and Michael Cole are our announcers. Outside the arena, a limo pulls up. Out of the limo comes Triple H and Razor Ramon along with several women. Michael Cole comments on his jealousy towards the lifestyle Evolution is living. Inside the arena, the show kicks off with The Miz making his way down to the ring to boos from the crowd. He got on the microphone and first addressed how great it was to be in the second round of the tournament and how much better it will be for business when he is crowned World Champion at Coronation. But he'll take care of that business next week - this week he wants to address Shawn Michaels. He really thought Shawn Michaels was better than the way he acted last week. He's never seen someone react so poorly to a loss. It said the Icon he knew was not a crybaby - and he explains that he is very disappointed in Michaels, but wants to give him the opportunity to apologize. And if he's willing to be the bigger man, he'll give HBK a one on one match..right here...RIGHT NOW! Tony Shiavone comments that unfortunately Shawn Michaels is NOT in attendance tonight or next week due to a family issue - and says the Miz KNOWs this. The Miz gives a cocky smirk as he says that this just confirms what he already knew about HBK - he is nothing but a coward. "Hey! Hey! Is this thing on?" RandomVision comes alive and we see Shawn Michaels on video, live on location from somewhere in Texas we can only assume. He apologizes to the fans, saying that he could not be there tonight and now more than ever he wishes he could be. But he promises that he will be at Coronation, and if Miz is still in the running for the championship - he will certainly be watching with interest...watching VERY closely, he winks. Miz demanded that the video feed be cut off, which it was. The Miz acts like nothing just happened and continues calling HBK a coward and refers to himself as the TRUE SHOW STOPPER before leaving the ring. Match 1: Kane vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/Kimberly) The second round of the World Championship tournament officially got underway with this match. DDP hasn't been seen since his original victory in week one, but he returned tonight with just as much fanfare as he did on show one. Kane, meanwhile, is fresh in our minds off an impressive victory of the Ultimate Warrior last week. While Page came out hot early, hitting some offense on Kane to open the match - Kane pretty much no-sold it all and dominated the majority of the match. But Page always has a never say die attitude, and it showed in this match - he just refused to lose. And despite Kane dominating him for the majority of the match, DDP reversed a chokeslam attempt into the Diamond Cutter to get the victory! Winner - DDP via pinfall Running from the Darkness A pre-recorded, dark and ominous promo from The Undertaker delivered a message to Randy Orton and Edge - assuring them that they will not be able to run for him forever. Because you cannot run from darkness - it will always surround you - it will always be there. And when that day comes when they can no longer run, they will find themselves in their final resting place thanks to The Undertaker. But he assures them that they will REST....IN.....PEACE. Match 2: Mike Awesome vs. Doink the Clown These two men had two interesting paths that got them to the second round - Mike Awesome pulled off an impressive upset over Bret "The Hitman" Hart - while Doink the Clown moved on thanks to a disqualification victory at the hands of Brian Pillman. After defeating Bret Hart, Awesome looked like a sure thing in this one as Doink the Clown was clearly overmatch. Despite the fans desire to see Doink continue his hi-jinks into the quarter-finals, it looked like Awesome was just toying with Doink. Awesome looked confident as he lifted Doink up into a Gorilla Press and then threw him over the top rope to the floor! Referee Mike Chioda warned Awesome...but on the outside...a SECOND Doink emerged from under the ring and rolled the original Doink under the ring. The new Doink slid back into the ring. He ran up behind the unknowing Awesome and executed a German Suplex! A shocked and groggy Awesome rolled back to his feet and was met with some stiff knife edge chops and then a standing hurricanrana. Awesome was clearly caught off guard with "Doink's" sudden rejuvination and intensity. Doink showed some strength as he lifted Awesome up and delivered a Death Valley Driver in the center of the ring...and picked up the pinfall victory! Winner - DOINK THE CLOWN? by pinfall Mike Chioda raised "Doink's" hand in victory, but Doink rolled out of the ring and went under the ring again. Presumably the original Doink was rolled back out from under the ring, where he was slow to recover and very confused when he found his music playing and Mike Awesome starting to recover in the ring. Not one to question things, Doink quickly scurried to the back before Awesome could realize what just happened. Can't Get You Out of My Heart Evan Karagias, Shane Helms, and Shannon Moore made their way out for their tag tournament semi-finals matchup, but they wanted to give their fans a very special treat - a concert of their HIT single "Can't Get You Out of My Heart." Some obvious planted wild 3-Count fans are picked out from the front row to have a ringside seat for the concert. The rest of the crowd boos loudly as they lip synch the song, but the girls at ringside seem to be enjoying themselves. The Nation's music mercifully puts an end to this... Match 3: 3 Count (w/Evan Karagias) vs. The Nation Owen Hart and Shane Helms started the match off with a fast paced offensive exchange that the crowd actually seemed to enjoy despite neither team being a fan favorite. Helms got the upperhand and brought in Moore who continued the fast paced offense against Owen. But once Owen got the upperhand, he brought in Faarooq which promptly put an end to any fast paced offense as his power was able to take control of the smaller 3 Count. This gave The Nation the upperhand for the majority of the match from this point...until Ahmed Johnson made his way from the back...clearly not satisfied with being attacked by The Nation one week and losing to Owen in the World Title tournament. He provided to be a distraction for The Nation...which allowed Shane Helms to score a quick rollup on Owen Hart which gave them the victory. WINNERS - 3 COUNT by pinfall Living the Dream Backstage in their dressing room, Triple H and Razor Ramon were enjoying their evening with the fine ladies who accompanied them. Razor Ramon just finished telling a hilarious joke apparently - all we get to hear was the punch line "and he said that's not my crocodile!" Don't ask me. Razor Ramon wants another glass of the bubbly, but HHH cuts him off and informs him he better not - his match is up next. Ramon promises to show the world that Evolution is taking over. Match 4: Razor Ramon vs. Randy Orton (w/Edge) I don't know how much the fans enjoy all these heel vs. heel matchups this tournament is providing...but in any event, Orton and Ramon worked a good match - each one taking their own time out to play off the crowd's boos. The crowd started another "Undertaker" chant, but unfortunately the Undertaker apparently was not in the building tonight and thus Rated RKO could breath easier. Ramon took control and looked to finish off Orton with the Razor's Edge, but Orton wiggled free and slid down Razor's back. Razor turned around and received the RKO from Orton! Orton made the pin and got the victory. WINNER - RANDY ORTON by pinfall Work in Progress Backstage, Mene Gene Okerlund was standing by with CM Punk and Brian Pillman - The Straight Edge Society. Okerlund scoffed at Punk's preachings, suggesting that the Pillman we saw last week was not as changed as Punk claimed. Punk reminded that he said last week that Pillman was still a work in progress. There were a lot of demons and a lot of anger he had to exercise, but another week has gone by and the progress he has made has been phonemnal. He thinks this week you will truly see what the new Straight Edge Brian Pillman is capable of. Match 5: The Sandman & Chris Jericho vs. The Straight Edge Society Sandman and Jericho are joined by their interaction with Punk and Pillman in the earlier weeks and thus are teaming together tonight against common enemies. Jericho found himself strangled out by Pillman last week, but this week Pillman was calm once again. In the ring, Punk opened things up against Jericho, and early on the Straight Edge Society was looking dominant against Jericho. But once Jericho made the tag to Sandman, Punk decided it was time to let Pillman practice his new approach - because he immediately tagged in Pillman. Pillman, surprisingly, found himself calmly and effectively working over Sandman's knees with his speed. Once Sandman was grounded, Punk was more than happy to tag back in. Punk took over where Pillman left off - and got several nearfalls on The Sandman. Sandman would eventually make the fresh tag back to Jericho, who came in with a flurry of speed and high impact offense, taking out Punk and Pillman one at a time. Jericho hit a springboard dropkick to Pillman followed by a running bulldog to Punk. A Lionsault to Punk resulted in a near three count - but Jericho followed it up by pulling Punk to the center of the ring and locking in the Liontamer. Punk looked to be close to submitting, but Pillman springboarded into the ring with the Air Pillman to Jericho! Punk rolled over ontop of Jericho and picked up the three count victory! Winners - STRAIGHT EDGE SOCIETY by pinfall The All-American Americans Strike Back In the back, we join a beatdown already in progress - Randy Savage has been laid out in the back with Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger laying the boots to him. RWF officials and Hulk Hogan are late to making the save, as Angle and Swagger scurry off - but the damage has already been done. MAIN EVENT: Hulk Hogan vs. Sting Hogan had to deal with this epic match up with a heavy mind as the distraction of his friend and partner being attacked and sent to the hospital was fresh on his mind. They started the match with a handshake and from there it became a back and forth battle of two icons in the sport. There were nearfalls a plenty and the fans were loving every minute of seeing two of their favorites go at it with respect but both wanting to win just as much as the other. Halfway through the match Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger made their way down to the ring. Hogan and Sting both noticed this. They slid into the ring and went after Hogan, but Sting stepped in and together they fought off The All-American Americans together. Referee Earl Hebner let the match continue as Sting and Hogan cleared the ring. RWF security came to the ring and removed Angle and Swagger. Hogan and Sting shook hands once more and locked up, the match continuing as planned, much to the delight of the crowd. Sting took the upperhand, but after a Stinger Splash - Hogan's eyes grew wide as he began to HULK UP! Sting tried another Stinger Splash, but Hogan walked out of the corner and shook his finger at Sting. Sting hit a barrage of right hands that were in effective. Hogan lifted up Sting and bodyslammed him to the mat. Sting himself rolled back to his feet and seemed unphased. Hogan laid a pair of right hands to Sting's head and sent him into the ropes. Sting ducked a clothesline and bounced off the ropes, leaping into the air and hitting a big clothesline to Hogan that sent both men to the mat. Both men were slow to recover, but both got to their feet at the same time. They exchanged blows back and forth until Sting grabbed Hogan and whipped him into the ropes. Off the ropes, Sting went for a backdrop, but Hogan telegraphed it and dropped an axehandle onto Sting's back. Sting bent backwards, holding his back in pain as Hogan grabbed him and whipped him into the ropes. Off the ropes, Hogan hit the Big Boot to Sting! Hogan posed for the crowd, bounced off the ropes and dropped the Atomic Legdrop to Sting! Hogan with the cover - ONE, TWO, THREE! Winner - HULK HOGAN by pinfall Hogan celebrated after the match by posing for the crowd. Once Sting got back to his feet, they shook hands once more, and Sting raised Hogan's arm up in victory and in mutual respect. Hogan instructed Sting to stay and pose with the crowd with him - which they did as the show came to an end. TONY SHIAVONE'S ULTRA SPECTACULAR SHOW PREVIEW: -Will Randy Savage be able to recover by next week? The Mega-Powers are scheduled to take on Patriotic Power in the Semi-Finals of the Tag Championship Tournament. -CM Punk takes on The Miz in the Second Round of the World Championship Tournament. -The rest of the Quarterfinals of the World Championship Tournament will be decided for Coronation! |

RWF PRIME TIME 1.6 Tony Shiavone and Michael Cole are our announcers. No Mega-Powers? The show opens up with Vince Russo making his way out to the ring. He reminded us of the attack Randy Savage sustained at the hands of The All-American Americans last week that sent Savage to the hospital. Savage has had issues with injuries the past few weeks to his elbow and with that attack only adding to his problems - Randy Savage has NOT been cleared to wrestle tonight. In fact, Russo has barred him from the building - for his OWN safety. With that being said... "Medal" hits the PA system and out comes Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger. Angle enters the ring and wants to talk to Russo about this situation. He explained that given the situation, it only makes sense to insert the All-American Americans in place of the Mega-Powers since Savage is not able to perform. Angle explains that he lets no injury get in his way of winning - he won the Olympic Gold Medal with a BROKEN FREAKIN NECK. Russo says the in light of the situation, something DOES have to be done about tonight's main event that was suppose to feature the Mega-Powers against Patriotic Power for the right to go to Coronation to face 3 Count for the Tag Titles. "Real American" interupts Russo and out comes Hulk Hogan himself, who definitely wants to have a say in the matter. Hogan says that in no way should Angle and Swagger be rewarded for causing all this to happen. Hogan says with or without Savage, he is a fighter and he wants Russo to let him compete tonight in the main event even if it means taking on Patriotic Power by himself. Russo applauds Hogan's bravery but questions his sanity. But, since they did make it this far and it would not be fair to give away their spot, so if Hogan wants to go it alone tonight, he won't stand in his way. But wait, someone else has an opinion on the matter. Out comes Sting who sprints down to the ring. Sting says that after witnessing what happened last week and after going toe to toe with Hulkamania last week, it would be an honor for him to step in and be a replacement for the injured Savage. Sting say if it's all right with Hogan and Russo, Sting is volunteering his services to be Hogan's partner tonight. Hogan says he has no problem with that brother, he has all the respect in the world for the Stinger. Angle and Swagger object, clearly not happy with the way this is turning out. Russo agrees to the terms, and announces that tonight - Sting & Hogan will team up to take on Patriotic Power! From one Mega-Power team to another! Match 1: Owen Hart (w/Farooq) vs. Test Hey there's Test - haven't seen him since the first show. Remember, he beat someone...oh yeah Goldust...in any event, the crowd was bored during this match as they had no one to cheer for which has been a theme in this tournament with the heel/heel dynamic. In the end, Owen Hart finished his fellow Canadian off with the reverse piledriver to get the victory. WINNER - OWEN HART by pinfall The Cat's Corner Ernest "The Cat" Miller is back this week with The Cat's corner. He said he knows that we all missed his dancing last week, so he gave us an extra treat with some extended dancing time. But with that tomfoolery out of the way - it's time for his guest tonight - Mike Awesome! Awesome comes out, looking very serious and not too happy to be a part of this. The Cat welcomes Awesome to the show and talks about how the sight of Awesome strikes fear into the hearts of all...well that is until...he lost to a clown! The Cat can't help but bend over laughing at Mike Awesome for losing to Doink the Clown last week. Awesome's stare at the Cat was enough to send weaker men running in the opposite direction. Awesome wants to clarify that he was screwed last week because that was NOT Doink that beat him. Cat says it sure looks like you were beat by a guy in a clown costume...who cares WHO it was. Awesome decides he has heard enough of the Cat, and goes after him - but Miller jumps to ringside as the carnival music begins to play bringing Doink himself out! Doink skips around the ring and tries to make ammends with Mike Awesome by offering him a dog that he made out of a balloon. Awesome takes the balloon dog and pops it with his hands. Doink acts like he's crying, but then ducks a right hand from Awesome and slides out of the ring. Awesome gives chase and Doink disappears under the ring apron. At ringside, Awesome throws up the apron curtain and peers under the ring look for Doink...but a second Doink appears directly behind Awesome with a pie in hand! Awesome turns around and gets a pie to the face - much to the delight of the crowd. This Doink ducks underneath the ring as well as Awesome wipes away pie from his face. Awesome turns around to be...sprayed in the face by a fire extinguisher from the other Doink! This Doink then slams the fire extinguisher into the head of the blinded Awesome. Awesome drops to the floor as the carnival music continues to play...Doink celebrates with the fans as we went to a commercial. Match 2: Ernest "The Cat" Miller vs. Rob Van Dam Following the breakdown of his Cat's Corner - Ernest Miller was ready to face off against Rob Van Dam in this Second Round matchup in the World Championship Tournament. Rob Van Dam had the advantage of having the fans on his side as these two were in for a battle of fancy feet as both have a high percentage of their offense based on their legs. The Cat took control midway through the match off of a well placed kick that landed close to RVD's groin - which drew the attention of referee Nick Patrick. The Cat promised it was an accident and continued on - picking up a few nearfalls on RVD. But when The Cat went for the Feliner - RVD ducked and then responded with jumping sidekick. A splitlegged moonsault by RVD would only draw a two count. A monkeyflip out of the corner would set The Cat up for a Rolling Thunder from RVD which would also draw a two count - but RVD would finish the Cat off with a Five Star Frog Splash to get the victory and advance to Coronation. WINNER - RVD by pinfall Good Luck from HBK In a pre-recorded video segment from his home in San Antonio - Shawn Michaels cut a sarcastic promo about The Miz and how he was looking forward to watching his match tonight because he's such an entertaining performed. The sarcasm continued as HBK wished The Miz all the luck in the world tonight. In all honesty, HBK went on to say, he would love nothing more than to be the one to take the World Championship from The Miz should he be the one to win it...so in that regards, maybe he would be rooting for a Miz victory.... After a dramatic pause, HBK responded with a "NAH." He promised he would be seeing Miz very soon! Match 3: CM Punk (w/Brian Pillman) vs. The Miz Miz and Punk put on an entertaining match despite the crowd booing them both and chanting for H-B-K the entire time. The Miz was concerned with Pillman at ringside, and kept asking referee Mickey Jay to eject him even when Pillman had done nothing wrong. The fans would get something to cheer about when The Sandman came down from the back when Pillman finally did try to interfere. Sandman chased Pillman around ringside with the singapore cane. This distracted CM Punk long enough for the Miz to take advantage. Punk turned around from the Sandman distraction and walked right into a boot from Miz to double him over. Miz then laid out CM Punk with the Skull-Crushing finale to get the three count victory! WINNER - THE MIZ by pinfall After the match, Punk and Pillman both escaped from The Sandman who gave chase with the singapore cane. Back in the ring, the camera man got a good shot of the Miz celebrating his victory and the fact that he advanced to Coronation. He was so caught up in his own celebration, he didn't notice the cameraman putting down his camera and taking his hood off...to reveal Shawn Michaels! The crowd popped huge for HBK, and the Miz turned around and received Sweet Chin Music! HBK posed over The Miz as his music played and we headed to commercials. The Pearl River Powerhouse Backstage, Mene Gene Okerlund was standing by with Ahmed Johnson to talk about his upcoming match with Jack Swagger. But he also had questions regarding Ahmed Johnson's issues with The Nation. Ahmed Johnson wanted everyone to know that he is his own man. He doesn't want help from anyone and he doesn't ask for it. That's why he wanted nothing to do with The Nation. They took issue with it, but he wants them to know that he doesn't back down from a fight. And tonight he's going to take it to Jack Swagger and show The Nation and the world that The Pearl River Powerhouse is taking care of business. Match 4: Ahmed Johnson vs. Jack Swagger (w/Kurt Angle) Speaking of powerhouses, this singles match was a clash of two of them - unfortunately Ahmed Johnson's actual skill leaves much to be desired - and the match itself was a bit sloppy when Johnson was in control, and the crowd became silent for most of the match even with Angle at ringside to play off the crowd's boos. Just as Ahmed Johnson was setting up Swagger for the Pearl River Plunge - Angle jumped onto the apron. Ahmed Johnson left Swagger and shoved Angle down, sending Angle crashing into the ring barrier. Johnson turned around and walked into a clothesline from Swagger. Swagger set up Ahmed for the Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb, but Ahmed Johnson countered with a big backdrop. He picked Swagger back up and set him up for the Plunge again - but Owen Hart and Faarooq stormed the ring and attacked Ahmed! Referee Charles Robinson had to call for the bell as Owen Hart and Faarooq were assaulting him. WINNER - AHMED JOHNSON by disqualification Post match, Swagger and Angle left as Ahmed Johnson began to battle back against The Nation. Owen Hart charged at Johnson, but Johnson ducked and backdroped Owen over the top rope to the floor! Johnson then ducked a clothesline from Faarooq. Johnson gave Faarooq a knee to the gut and then laid him out with the Pearl River Plunge! Ahmed Johnson threw his arms up in the middle of the ring having laid out both members of The Nation. I'll Show You Scared Backstage, Mene Gene was with Edge and Randy Orton of Rated RKO. They wanted to respond to recent criticism that they were 'scared' of the Undertaker. Are they scared? Edge said that of course they're not scared. There is nothing to be scared of. If anyone is scared, it's The Undertaker. He can't go anywhere without cutting the lights off first to try and surprise them. That's a true coward right there. Orton claimed that The Undertaker is too scared to come out without using optical illusions to give him the sneak attack. Orton said that Taker has already went one-on-one with Orton and lost. They have already proven that in a level playing field - Undertaker is no match for either one of them. And he welcomed the opportunity to prove it again...but only after he has won the World Championship at Coronation. Which, by the way, The Undertaker will NOT have the opportunity to do...thanks to RATED RKO. Match 5: La Parka vs. Triple H The fans support of La Parka could not help him out in this match. La Parka did manage to get in some limited offense against The Game - but Evolution's Triple H was just too much for La Parka to overcome. Triple H made short work of La Parka - ending his chances of going to Coronation with The Pedigree. Winner - TRIPLE H by pinfall The Evolution Continues Triple H took the microphone after the match, commenting on how he barely broke a sweat. He then talked about the living the golden life with Evolution - and how at Coronation, he will be leaving with the World Championship because it belongs with Evolution. He mentioned that after seeing what Evolution is all about - his cell phone is ringing day and night with people who want to ride the wave with himself and Razor Ramon. He told us that it may surprise us some of the people who want in on this success. In fact, he promised that at Coronation...someone new will be joining their ranks. No hints, he said - he wanted us all to be surprised. And trust him...we WILL be surprised. MAIN EVENT: Patriotic Power vs. Hogan & Sting The iconic alliance of Hogan & Sting are no surprise huge fan favorites in the arena - while the normal fan favorites Lex Luger & The Patriot find themselves as the least popular team in the match. Sting and Hogan start out strong - feeding off that energy from the fans. But with Luger in the ring, he managed to slow Sting down and ground him to the mat. Luger worked over Sting's back in an attemp to set him up for the Torture Rack. Luger and Patriot made frequent tags, showing their experience as a tag team over that of Hogan & Sting. With the fans fueling his comeback, Sting fought his way back to his feet and landed a dropkick to The Patriot that allowed Sting to crawl to the corner and make the tag to Hogan. Hogan came in on fire - leveling Luger and Patriot. Hogan cleaned house and laid out The Patriot in the center of the ring with a bodyslam. Hogan posed for the crowd as things looked to be over for Patriotic Power - Sting and Hogan looked well on their way to victory...when Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger ran down from the back. Sting entered the ring and stood by Hogan's side - ready to do battle with the All-American Americans...but out of nowhere, Angle and Swagger decided to attack Lex Luger at ringside! Sting and Hogan were confused, but the intent became clear when Earl Hebner had to call for the disqualification. WINNERS - PATRIOTIC POWER by disqualification Angle and Swagger both laughed as they walked back up the ramp, satisfied with their outsmarting of their foes. Back in the ring, Sting and Hogan were both arguing with Earl Hebner over the situation, while Luger and The Patriot both had recovered and were not happy about winning this way. In the end, Hogan and Sting shook hands with Luger and Patriot and raised their arms in victory and sportsmanship - which got a pop from the crowd. RWF CORONATION Tony Shiavone and Mike Tenay are our hosts. Match 1: Owen Hart (w/Faarooq) vs. Rob Van Dam The show got kicked off right away with a great, back and forth - high paced matchup between Rob Van Dam and Owen Hart. RVD had the unenviable task of having to deal with Faarooq at ringside, how ever Ahmed Johnson showed up when Faarooq tried to interfere. Ahmed Johnson managed to take Faarooq out of the equation, brawling with him to the back as the match continued in the ring. Owen Hart made the fatal mistake of taking too long to interact with the booing crowd when he went to the top rope to execute a moonsault. RVD rolled out of the way and Owen Hart would never recover from that misstep. Rob Van Dam would go on to finish Owen off with the Five Star Frog Splash. WINNER - ROB VAN DAM by pinfall Backstage with Evolution In the back, Triple H was preparing to leave the Evolution locker room, but not before talking with Razor Ramon about their new member who is going to be joining them TONIGHT. Razor Ramon wanted to know if he was here yet - to which HHH responded he is definitely here. Triple H promised that tonight would be a legendary night for Evolution. Match 2: Randy Orton vs. Triple H Neither heel had their associate at ringside with them, and thus it was a surprisingly clean battle between the two heels. They went back and forth, both getting several nearfalls during the match. Orton's attempt an RKO was blocked by HHH, who took advantage and would eventually set Orton up for the Pedigree - but Orton countered with a double leg takedown. Orton resumed control and would attempt another RKO, but HHH once again blocked it and shoved Orton into the ropes. Orton came off the ropes into a boot to the midsection followed by the Pedigree! Triple H rolled Orton over and got the three count victory. Triple H advances to the semi-finals to face Rob Van Dam! WINNER - TRIPLE H by pinfall Match 3: Diamond Dallas Page (w/Kimberly) vs. Hulk Hogan In a big contrast to the last match, these two are both fan favorites - but Hogan's fan power surpasses that of DDP's. But the two start the match off with a handshake, and from there it's all Hogan early. DDP does fight his way back into the match and holds his own against the Hulkster. But in true Hulkamania fashion, just when it looked like Hogan would be down and out and DDP might pull off the upset - Hogan hulked himself back up and DDP's offense was suddenly useless. Hogan road the wave of momentum from the crowd's energy and laid out Page with a big boot and wrapped the match up with the Atomic Legdrop. WINNER - HULK HOGAN by pinfall A Big Miz-Take Backstage, Mene Gene Okerlund was standing by with The Miz who was about to make his way out for his quarter-final match up - but he wanted to let Shawn Michaels know that his cowardly antics will not go unpunished. He explained that he will be watching his back tonight because he knows that coward HBK could show up ANYWHERE, but if he does, he'll be making a BIG MIZ-TAKE. Match 4: Doink the Clown vs. The Miz The Miz couldn't help but laugh at his opponent for the quarter finals - Doink, as he entered the ring. Doink, somewhat offended by the lack of respect he received from Miz, met Miz in the ring with an open hand slap to the face. This did not sit well with the Miz, who gave Doink a knee to the midsection and clubbing blows to the back. Miz looked to make short work of Doink, but when Doink rolled out of the ring - Mike Awesome came down from the back. The second Doink poke his head out from underneath the ring and was attempting to pull the original Doink under the ring to safety - but Awesome put a stop to that. Awesome pulled the second Doink out from under the ring and began assaulting him. Referee Mickey Jay was confused and left the ring to try and regain order. Meanwhile, a THIRD DOINK jumped over the guard rail from the fans. He ducked down beside the apron as The Miz watched as Mike Awesome picked up the second Doink and delivered the AWESOME BOMB to the floor! Meanwhile, the third Doink slid into the ring behind the Miz. Miz turned around...and received a SUPERKICK! This Doink removed his clown mask to reveal Shawn Michaels. Michaels rolled out of the ring and climbed back into the crowd as Mickey Jay ejected Mike Awesome from ringside. The original Doink rolled back into the ring, crawled over and made the cover...Mickey Jay, now even more confused, had no choice but to make the count. WINNER - DOINK THE CLOWN by pinfall And so, the Semi-Finals for the RWF World Championship was set: Rob Van Dam vs. Triple H in one match, and Hulk Hogan vs. Doink the Clown in the second. One of those four men would walk out of Coronation as the first RWF champion. Concert? Nope not yet! 3 Count made their way down to the ring to boos from the crowd. They placed their placemats in the middle of the ring and looked ready to perform their hit single for us...but Evan Karagias stopped just as they were getting ready to hit their first notes. He said that this isn't right...this should be saved for AFTER they win the tag championship. The mood just won't be right until they can sing their hit single as a celebration to their title victory. The fans actually cheered when they found out they wouldn't be subject to the singing. Match 5 - 3 Count (w/Evan Karagias) vs. Patriotic Power World Tag Team Championships Match Speaking of crowning the first champion - this match was the finals of the tag tournament to crown the first RWF Tag Team Champions. The heavy favorites had to be the powerhouse duo of Lex Luger and The Patriot. While 3 Count had made it this far with a lot of luck and underhanded moves - they were once again in a big size disadvantage. But if they can overcome that against Vader and Yokozuna - Luger and Patriot should be a breeze right? Well, not really - Helms and Moore seemed no match for just Luger by himself at the start of the match as it looked like Luger himself might just win the match by himself. But a low blow from Shane Helms sent Luger gasping for air and brought in the Patriot. The Patriot overpowered Helms and looked to continue where Luger left off. Karagias provided the distraction to allow Helms and Moore to fight back and actually gain the upper hand on The Patriot. This would be short-lived as once Patriot made the hot tag to Luger, Luger cleaned house on all three members of 3 Count and then lifted Shannon Moore up into the Torture Rack to get the submission victory. WINNERS AND NEW TAG CHAMPS - PATRIOTIC POWER by submission Inquiring Minds Want To Know Backstage, Mene Gene caught up with Triple H before he headed out for his Semi-Final match against Rob Van Dam. Okerlund wanted to know if there was any way we could get a hint about who the new member of Evolution would be and when we will find out. Triple H promised that we would find out before the night is over. And he also said if we wanted a hint, he would provide one. The person in question...is involved in a match TONIGHT. Triple H would offer no more hints, as he had to get to the ring and take care of business. Match 6 - Rob Van Dam vs. Triple H These two both were still looking fresh despite their earlier matchups. RVD used his speed to his advantage to out manuever HHH early. This garnished RVD a few early nearfalls, but HHH grounded RVD and kept him within his grasps to even the playing field. Triple H went to work on RVD's legs to try and limit RVD's fancy footwork. HHH got several nearfalls on RVD, which began to frustrated him as he complained to referee Nick Patrick about the slow counting. RVD used this as an opening to fight back. RVD retook control and had Triple H reeling. But when RVD went for the Rolling Thunder, HHH lifted up his knees and RVD's back went right into his knees. RVD was left in a world of hurt which allowed HHH to finish him off with The Pedigree and advance to the finals! WINNER - TRIPLE H by pinfall Match 7 - Doink the Clown vs. Hulk Hogan With the "second" Doink assaulted earlier by Awesome, it looked like our original Doink had to go it alone versus the Immortal Hulk Hogan. Doink was clearly nervous. Hogan offered Doink a handshake to start the match, and Doink accepted it...but Hogan was electrocuted! Doink revealed a buzzer in his hand. He laughed and tossed it away and began attacking Hogan with punches and chops...but once Hogan recovered from the shock, he no-sold Doink's offense and stared him down. Hogan gave Doink the wag of the finger before firing back with some punches of his own. Hogan made short work of Doink and wrapped it up with the Atomic Legdrop to advance to the finals to meet Triple H for the RWF World Championship! WINNER - HULK HOGAN by pinfall Match 8 - The All-American Americans vs. Sting & Randy Savage Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger made their way out first to boos from the crowd. Sting came out first for his team, but when it was time for Randy Savage to make his entrance - no one came out. They restarted his music, but still no Savage. The cameras cut to the back where they found Randy Savage - laid out and being attended to by RWF officials. An upset Sting pointed the blame at Angle and Swagger, who seemed surprised themselves and claimed they had no part in this. Sting, not one to believe them, decided to go it alone and started the match off himself by attacking both of them one at a time. Sting cleared the ring of Swagger and left Angle alone in the ring. Sting looked good early, but it was only a matter of time before the numbers game became too much. Swagger and Angle took firm control of the match - but still, even with the man advantage, could not seem to put Sting away. The crowd was solidly behind the Stinger, and cheered him back into the match. Sting muscled his way up for a second wind and came storming back. He managed to fight off both Swagger and Angle, and hit them with dueling Stinger Splashes. Sting then locked Jack Swagger into the Scorpion Deathlock in the center of the ring. Swagger seemed like seconds from tapping, but Angle broke it up just in time. Unfortunately for Sting, in the end the numbers were just too much and without Savage - Sting had no help. An Olympic Slam from Kurt Angle ended things for the Stinger. WINNERS - THE ALL-AMERICAN AMERICANS by pinfall Match 9 - CM Punk (w/Brian Pillman) vs. The Sandman CM Punk was accompanied to the ring by his new Straight Edge protige - Brian Pillman, who seemed to have his anger issues finally under control. Meanwhile, The Sandman, had some issues of his own still wanting to work out - and that's issues with CM Punk himself. Sandman wasted no time getting to the ring as he really wanted to get his hands on Punk. Despite Punk's best efforts to avoid Sandman, Sandman did get to Punk and unleashed an onslaught of brutal offense to the sultan of straight edge. Thanks to some distraction from Pillman, Punk was able to fight back and gain the upperhand on Sandman. After a few nearfalls, Punk could not put Sandman away. The Sandman escaped an attempt of the GTS from Punk and leveled Punk with a violent clothesline. He picked Punk back up and would go for his DDT to try to put Punk away, but Brian Pillman slid into the ring. Sandman met Punk with a kick to the midsection and dropped him with the DDT! But when Sandman turned around, Punk met him with a step-up enziguri that dazed Sandman. Punk lifted Sandman up and connected with the GTS! Punk made the cover and picked up the win. WINNER - CM PUNK by pinfall RECAP! Before the main event, we got a nice music video recap of each round of the tournament that all lead up to the final match to determine the RWF Champion - which is our MAIN EVENT and it's NOW. MAIN EVENT: Triple H vs. Hulk Hogan Two out of Three Falls Match for the RWF World Championship Fall One: This is what it all came down to - Hogan vs. HHH in the finals of the World Championship tournament. The two stars measured each other up to start the match before locking up and the match was under way. Hogan overpowered Triple H early, surprising him with a pair of repeated arm drags. A claw to the eyes blinded Hogan and Triple H took advantage of and went on the offensive. But an attempt of a quick Pedigree resulted in a backdrop from Hogan, who was already Hulking up. Triple H was at the recieving end of a bodyslam and Hogan was already calling for the Atomic Legdrop. Out came Razor Ramon who jumped onto the apron, but Hogan met him with a right hand to knock him down. Off the ropes, Hogan landed the Atomic Legdrop and took fall number one. Fall Two: Hogan posed as Triple H made his way to his feet. Referee Earl Hebner checked in on him to make sure he was ready to continue. The bell rang and fall two officially began. Hogan continued in control for fall two, and a couple of nearfalls almost made it seem like Hogan would take it in two falls. But Triple H managed to kick out of each attempt. Hogan ran off the ropes, but Ramon reached in and grabbed Hogan's foot to stop him. Hogan turned around and exchanged words with Ramon. When he turned around, he walked right into a high knee from HHH. Triple H unleashed a flurry of stomps to Hogan to keep the Immortal one down. He then kneeled over Hogan and laid into his forehead with repeated right hands. Triple H would lock on a sleeper hold to Hogan and came within one arm drop of winning the second fall, but the crowd got behind Hogan and he muscled his way back up to his feet. Hogan hit a few back elbows to Triple H to break the hold and then dropped HHH with a sidewalk slam that resulted in a two count. Razor Ramon jumped onto the apron once again - bringing over referee Earl Hebner. With Hebner distracted, HHH landed a blatant low blow to Hogan. Ramon jumped down and Triple H dropped Hogan with the Pedigree! Triple H made the cover to even things up at one fall a piece. Fall Three: Triple H waited as Hogan got back to his feet and fall three was ready to begin. It all came down to one fall to decide the RWF Champion. Triple H took advantage of a tired Hogan to take control early in the third fall. But the crowd was solidly behind Hogan, trying to bring him back to life one more time for one last hoorah to defeat Triple H. Hogan began to Hulk back up. He leveled HHH with a pair of right hands. HHH rolled back to his feet and Hogan continued on his attack until he went for a clothesline - HHH ducked and Hogan laid out referee Earl Hebner! Uh oh...I smell shenanigans! With the referee out, no one was around to see Hogan hit the Big Boot to Triple H and subsequently hit the Atomic Legdrop. Hogan made the cover and slammed the mat three times symblizing a three count. Hogan got up, and was met with a CHAIRSHOT from Razor Ramon! Triple H got back to his feet and the two picked Hogan up. They placed the chair on the mat and HHH executed the Pedigree onto the chair! The crowd was livid until Randy Savage limped down to the ring with his own chair in hand! The crowd popped big for Savage, happy to have someone there to save their hero. Randy Savage slid into the ring with the chair which sent Triple H and Razor Ramon out to ringside. Savage threatened to throw the chair at them at ringside but instead turned his attention to his friend. Savage began helping Hogan up, calling out to the fans for their support. A woozy and bloody Hogan got to his feet...and Savage LAID A CHAIRSHOT RIGHT IN HOGAN'S FOREHEAD! The loud cheers turned to deafing boos as Savage tossed the chair away and climbed to the top turnbuckle with ease - clearly not injured in the least bit. Triple H and Razor Ramon, laughing, entered the ring as Savage came off the top rope with the Flying Elbow Drop right to Hogan's sternum! The boos only got louder as Triple H made the cover on Hogan. Savage picked Hebner up and slapped some sense into him before dropping him to the mat. Hebner, not all there, crawled over and made the slow three count giving the title to Triple H. WINNER AND NEW RWF CHAMPION - TRIPLE H by pinfall The PPV came to an end with Triple H, Randy Savage, and Razor Ramon posing in victory with the RWF World Championship. |
