UPDATE: According to TMZ, a representative for Liev Schreiber contacted the website and states that despite reports, Schreiber is not playing Chris Benoit in the film Crossface. No other word on how may play the lead role at this time.

Plans for NXT star Kassius Ohno, f.k.a. Chris Hero, to join the main roster have apparently been put on hold. According to a source, the creative team had a storyline to introduce Ohno this summer. People within the company were impressed with his in-ring skills and his promos, and had asked him to improve his physique while creative worked on his introduction. According to trainers at NXT, Ohno seemed reluctant in the weightlifting and gym sessions, although he continued to receive high marks for his overall attitude and the great effort in his daily in-ring sessions. Word got back to Triple H about Ohno dodging gym time, and he was removed from TV tapings. Ohno has missed two tapings in the past few weeks, and there is said to be increased concern about his status with the company. A lot of people are still high on him, but this could prove to be costly for one of the top prospects in WWE's developmental system. WWE is interested in trying to book Bill Goldberg to face Ryback for next year's WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view in New Orleans. Over the past few years, Goldberg has sent mixed signals to fans, stating that he didn't want to return to WWE, but recently he's been re-thinking those statements. Goldberg's son, who is now old enough to watch some of his matches, is one of the factors behind a return. WWE has been featuring Golberg prominently, with a spot in the upcoming WWE 2K14 video game, and a 3-disc DVD collection on his career set to be released soon. There has been lots of internal talk about the future of Ryback lately. He has heat on him for several different things. For one, officials feel he hasn't really developed well in the ring like they were hoping. There's a feeling that Ryback has actually regressed in the ring. He also has heat on him for roughing up several different talents, most recently CM Punk. Officials also feel that Ryback doesn't present himself well when making appearances for the company. WWE has gotten feedback on several appearances he's made over the past few months where people said he didn't look happy to be there, and this began before they turned him heel. One source described it as Ryback seeming to be annoyed by making public appearances. It's said the "bloom is off the rose" with Ryback unless he turns things around. Vince McMahon has lost so much faith in Ryback that he may remove Paul Heyman from him so Heyman can move forward. It's about time they see what everyone else has seen for a while

Big Show is main eventing WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view with Randy Orton because there's a renewed effort within WWE to put larger or bigger wrestlers in the spotlight. This is the reason for Show being pushed and why we've seen more of Luke Harper and The Great Khali lately. There's a feeling that Daniel Bryan was on top for a few months and WWE's pay-per-view buyrates have been down during that period. The feeling among upper management is that Bryan isn't a larger than life wrestler and that's what fans want. They feel a guy like Bryan should be on the mid-card having great matches. I would say unbelievable, but it's not... Not sure when or if they are ever going to realize buys are down because no one wants to pay fifty bucks for an over glorified episode of Raw.
Or the fact that there was no reason for people to get behind an angle that wasn't going to deliver, just like the past few major angles. Seriously, what's the worst payoff; this Daniel Bryan angle or the one they screwed up with Punk a few years ago by injecting Kevin Nash?

I assumed the Bryan pay off would come at WM after he won the Rumble (which is logical booking), but I guess that's not the case.

Correct me I am wrong, but this year we had the Daniel Bryan stuff. :smh:
Last year we had the pushing of Ryback followed by having him lose title match after title match when he was getting over huge with the crowds. (At least give the guy the WHC and see what he can do...) :smh:
Year before that we had the summer of Punk 2, which died out with the whole Kevin Nash/HHH crap :smh:
Before that we had them teasing us with Christian only to have him look like an idiot time and time again against Orton. :smh:

I still have no idea why they got so gun shy with Ryback. Like him or not there was a time when he was getting huge reactions before they totally killed that.
This whole Big Show thing seems like a smoke screen to me though. I still think Bryan will have his redemption stuff down the road and he's getting time away from Orton so as not to burn out their feud more then it already has been. I don't have a huge problem with Show personally, I think he probably is one of the top faces so it makes sense to feed him to Orton for now. We might even be treated to someone sort of new around the Rumble to feud with Randy.

A possible match at RR spoiler
Spoiler: click to toggle - Quote:

Ryback appears to be turning babyface after Paul Heyman dismissed Ryback as a potential "Paul Heyman Guy" on Raw on Monday. According to F4WOnline.com, current plans call for Ryback to feud with Brock Lesnar, with a match likely taking place at Royal Rumble—Heyman sends Lesnar to destroy Ryback, since he blames him for CM Punk putting him in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, while WWE officials would like to have Ryback face Goldberg at WrestleMania XXX, sources within the organization don't expect the former World Heavyweight Champion to come on board since he would almost certainly be asked to job. Goldberg stated in an interview earlier this year that he would not return to the company to lose. We noted before that people within WWE are under the impression that the WWE Network will finally launch before WrestleMania XXX. Very few people internally are aware of any details past the point that WWE is shooting a lot of footage for the Network but nobody has been told when it would be airing. One source notes that WrestleMania XXX is strongly being talked about as a way to lure people to sign up for the Network, with the idea that they can get a huge amount of sign-ups immediately if people realize they can get WrestleMania in HD for "free" by signing up for a $9.95 per month program that comes with a lot more WWE content. The hope is if fans sign up, most won't cancel, will like what content is offered including the monthly PPV "for free," and it won't be a slow growth but an instant hit. WWE is so money grubbing. I thought the point of a business was to make as much money as you possibly could :shifty:
