I don't know how true this is, but it doesn't paint a pretty picture.

Some WWE news

Quote:

There is a lot of talk within WWE that Christian isn't expected to stick around once his current contract expires. At age 40, there's a feeling that WWE creative isn't going to do anything significant with Christian and he's just "playing out the string."
Read more at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0213/570209/another-wwe-veteran-possibly-leaving-when-his-deal-expires/#MkguDIehPamxECFL.99

No real surprise there...He can't really stay healthy long enough to get a real push anyway.

Regarding Sting not signing a deal with WWE yet, it's more because WWE is dragging their feet. We noted before that WWE officials are in no hurry to get Sting signed for a WrestleMania XXX match but word is that Sting himself was hoping for a match against The Undertaker at this year's event.

Since Sting lives in the Dallas area, he is willing to meet up with The Undertaker and work out the match in private at Undertaker's gym, over and over, to get it right, which is what Undertaker's opponents have done for the past several years. That's one of the reasons the matches have gone over so well. There was some concern that Brock Lesnar, who is in it because he makes big money for a limited amount of work and only has a certain number of dates on his contract, may not be willing to spend several extra days working with Taker to get the entire match worked out.

Brock vs Taker will be good, but I think everyone would rather see Sting vs Taker...smh WWE

Ric Flair has signed a new contract with WWE. All of his appearances and business deals have to be cleared by WWE from here on out. Flair can be booked outside of WWE but in every deal, there is a clause that if WWE calls and needs him for anything, he has to cancel the other booking.

- It appears that Tensai is done as a wrestler for WWE, for the time being at least, and is being groomed for an announcers job. Besides working on NXT commentary lately, Tensai has been involved in all RAW and SmackDown pre-show and post-show trial runs that WWE has been doing for the Network recently.

The less Tensai wrestling the better

Regarding Chris Jericho's WWE future, there was some talk in late 2013 about bringing him back for the first few months of 2014 but apparently the issues that kept it from happening had to do with creative instead of financials.

How bad is creative if they can't find anything for Chris Jericho to do...

I think this just illustrates how poorly the company is being run as far as the wrestling side goes.

I can understand not having anything for Christian to do, and I can even understand the Jericho thing. Seriously, when's the last time they could even book the talent they already have correctly, let alone bringing in old guys or part-time guys.

Why do they even need to write anything for Sting vs. Undertaker... I think they are more than capable of doing whatever the hell they want. And if they can practice in private on their own time, even better.

Seriously...

Considering last year Chris Jericho wrestled Fandango at Wrestlemania, well, what do you expect.

Some more WWE news

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Scott Hall is indeed on the list for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. Regarding speculation that Diamond Dallas Page may be inducted with Hall and Jake Roberts, he is reportedly not on the list.

Pretty obvious choice...this years HOF class has the makings to be a lot of good speeches, glad it's on the network live.

Rey Mysterio's contract is the next major WWE deal to expire, in about two months or so. Rey has one of the highest downsides but is also one of the biggest merchandise movers for the company.

Usually at this point WWE officials would be aggressively trying to get Rey to sign a new deal but that has not really been the case.

He's a shell of his former self and I have never even enjoyed his WWE work, combining that with all his injuries and he should probably hang it up.

The Rock is said to be the leading candidate for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame in California. It's more up to Rock, if he wants it, and how his schedule goes.

- Regarding the Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Curtis Axel and Ryback match for the Elimination Chamber Kickoff pre-show, it's been noted within WWE that Axel, being from the Minneapolis area and being from the well-known Hennig family, could get a babyface reaction.

Surprised the Rock isn't in by now. As far as a Curtis Axel face pop...good luck with that.

Regarding the one week free trial for the WWE Network at launch, similar to offers with other companies, you will still have to sign up with a credit card and the subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it.

- There has been talk of doing a cliffhanger ending to the February 24th RAW to encourage WWE Network sign-ups.

Not really news, but didn't think it needed it's own thread. Someone on Reddit tracked Batista's movement for his match last night.

Quote:

This is everything Batista did in his match last night.
3 punches
3 elbows
Move out of the way
Shoulder tackle
Spear
2 clotheslines
Move out of the way
Spinebuster
Push del rio into exposed turnbuckle
Batista bomb
In an 8 minute match, Batista had 1:35 of combined offence, a lot of which was spent on the mat catching his breath.

People who spoke to CM Punk at last weekend's UFC pay-per-view from Las Vegas noted that he seemed very non-committal about his status with WWE and treated it like it was something in his past.

At last Monday's RAW from Green Bay, there was no talk among the talents that anyone would be seeing Punk next week.

Internally, Punk is not expected to be at Monday's RAW from his hometown of Chicago and there is concern over what the crowd will do without him there.

Concern over what they will do without him...you think? :shifty:

It will be ugly for everyone else there (besides Bryan probably)

Earlier we posted a clip of Marcus "Buff" Bagwell appearing on Showtime's Gigolos show. Bagwell is now working as an escort for the Cowboys4Angels.com website, which partners with the Showtime show. Bagwell's rates are $800 for two hours, $1,550 for four hours, $3,000 for overnight, $4,500 per day, $8,000 for a weekend trip and $25,000 for a whole week of his time.

To be fair, if I had to pick one wrestler who was most likely to become a male escort, it would be Bagwell.

Sting is now booked for WrestleCon on WrestleMania XXX Sunday in New Orleans. It is his first appearance in the United States since leaving TNA. He will be signing from 10:30am until 2:30pm that day.

There is now a working idea within WWE that Sting will wrestle one match and then retire, which everyone presumes will be against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 in California.

There's still no confirmation that WWE will make this known at WrestleMania XXX or on RAW the next night. The only thing that's said to be certain right now is that Sting will do one last match.

I am actually trying to do everything in my power to go see this event. It would be a nice graduation present, not to mention that I am expecting this to be Undertaker's final match and he been a long time favorite of mine.
