WCW Fall Brawl
September 16, 2001
Live from the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri
Announcers: Mike Tenay, Don Callis, and Glenn Gilberti

FreeView Preshow Match
Billy Kidman (w/Torrie) vs. Kash

We got us some FREE cruiserweight action this month as we headed towards Fall Brawl. Most of the match was spent discussing War Games and how Kidman's partner Rey Mysterio will be a member of Team Booker taking on the Gentlemen's Club. Questions still surrounded the condition of Sting and if he would even be able to wrestle tonight! Kidman and Kash put on a good fast paced match, with Kash getting several nearfalls over Kidman before Kidman hit a facebuster to Kash and finished him off with the Kid Krusher for the 3 Count!
WINNER - Billy Kidman by pinfall
(81/72/90)

-----

The three man announce team of Tenay, Callis, and Gilberti welcomed us to Fall Brawl where tonight the much anticipated War Games match would be making its grand return to WCW. We still didn't know who would be the fifth member of The Gentlemen's Club team and we also didn't know if Sting was going to be able to compete tonight after the attack he suffered at the end of Nitro! But Scott Steiner had made it clear he was ready to step in for Team Booker if he needed to!

Hot Commodity (w/Alicia Webb) vs. 3 Count (w/Joey Matthews)
Opening up the night was the pop singing trio of 3 Count, but tonight it would be Karagias and Moore, taking on the new-comers Cassidy O'Reilly and Air Paris in their PPV debut. After a hot start from Paris and O'Reilly, Karagias grounded Paris and worked him over, keeping him from making the tag to O'Reilly. After dropping Paris with a military press, Karagias showboated much to the disdain of Cassidy O'Relly on the apron. O'Reilly tried to enter the ring, but referee Billy Silverman cut him off, which allowed a double team by Moore and Karagias. With Moore in the ring, he would go for the Bottoms Up, but Paris countered with a double leg take down to Moore! Paris then caught Moore with a spinning heel kick and made the tag to O'Reilly! O'Reilly hit Moore and Karagias both with sitout facebusters before going for the pin with a standing moonsault to Moore! One, Two, Thr...Karagias broke it up! Karagias attacked O'Reilly, but Air Paris came back into the ring with a springboard Dropkick to Karagias! Paris and O'Reilly hit the Hotshot to Moore! O'Reilly made the cover on Moore as Paris hit a slingshot plancha onto Karagias and Matthews at ringside to keep them from making the save - One, Two, Three!
WINNERS - Hot Commodity by pinfall
(71/57/85)

WCW Extreme Championship Match
The Wall (c) (w/Mike Sanders) vs. Tommy Dreamer

Tommy Dreamer came fully prepared for battle with his barbedwire 2x4 - but that wouldn't be the only extreme item utilized in the match. After The Wall took an early advantage on Dreamer just using his sheer size and power advantage, Mike Sanders brought out a table and slid it into the ring to Wall. Wall set the table up and went for a Chokeslam to Dreamer, but Dreamer countered it into a DDT through the table to Wall! Dreamer used this opportunity to start breaking out the extreme as he grinded the barbedwire across Wall's forehead! In what might be a WCW first for Wall, blood began to trickle down his face! But Dreamer wasn't done! He went to ringside and fended off Sanders before bringing out a sack of thumbtacks! In the ring, Dreamer spilled them out before hitting a drop toe hold to The Wall into the tacks! Dreamer had The Wall as vulnerable as we've seen him as he was dishing out some hardcore punishment to the champion. Blood was coming down Wall's face while thumb tacks were pinned into his body in several different locations. Dreamer came off the top turnbuckle, snapping his barebd wire 2x4 in half across Wall's head! Dreamer made his first pinfall attempt of the match - One, Two, Thre....kickout by The Wall!

Dreamer kept on the attack, going to ringside and sliding his own table into the ring along with a chair and some light fluid. Dreamer climbed into the ring and nailed a recovering Wall with a chairshot before setting up the table...Dreamer poured the lighter fluid on the table AND the chair! Dreamer pulled out a match and light the chair on fire...FLAMING CHAIRSHOT to The Wall! The Wall staggered as Dreamer slammed the flaming chair down across Wall's back! Dreamer tossed the chair to ringside before turning his attention back to the table. Dreamer pulled out another match and set the table on fire! But when Dreamer turned around, he ate a BIG BOOT from The Wall! The Wall pulled Dreamer up by his throat...CHOKESLAM onto the tacks! Wall wasn't done yet though...he picked Dreamer back up by his throat again...ANOTHER CHOKESLAM...this time THROUGH the flaming table! Wall pulled Dreamer from the wreckage and made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - The Wall by pinfall
(90/69/91)

Chris Kanyon vs. Chuck Palumbo (w/Ted DiBiase)
Kanyon was battling DiBiase's version of collateral as he attempted to clear his debt with DiBiase by picking up a victory over Palumbo. Unfortunately for Kanyon, that would prove to be easier said than done. Palumbo was packing some stiff punches tonight that served to wear down Kanyon very quickly. Kanyon attempted to fight back against the hard hitting Palumbo - even managing to pick up a nearfall off of an Electric Chair Drop - but Palumbo got his shoulder up. A distraction from DiBiase just as Kanyon was looking to go for the Flatliner served Palumbo well, as when Kanyon turned his attention back to the match - Palumbo hit him with a running big boot! After a scoop lift into a Samoan Drop - Palumbo finished Kanyon off with the Jungle Kick to get the cover and pick up the three count!
WINNER - Chuck Palumbo by pinfall
(76/74/78)

WCW Cruiserweight Championship
Chavo Guerrero (w/Kronik) (c) vs. Juventud Guerrera

Juvi kept a watchful eye to ringside where Chavo's personal bodyguards watched on - eager to jump in if they are needed. The crowdy was solidly behind The Juice as he went straight at the WCW Cruiserweight Champion. The two mexican stars went back and forth early, with Juvi having the slight advantage which he used to score a few quick nearfalls - but Chavo kicked out with ease each time. Chavo caught a flying Juvi in midair, and slammed him to the mat to quickly put the match momentum in his own favor. Chavo grounded Juvi and used a more mat based methodical approach to working over his challenger. Chavo began working over Juvi's neck and upper back with a variety of holds to wear down his challenger. Chavo applied a camel clutch to Juvi, but Juvi still refused to give in. Chavo threw Juvi to them at and stomped away at his upperback. Chavo hit three rolling vertical suplexes before climbing to the top turnbuckle. Chavo played to the crowd who met him with boos before he came off the top looking for the Frog Splash...but Juvi rolled out of the way! Chavo hit the mat hard and began to stumble to his feet right into a spin kick from Juvi!

Chavo looked to be in trouble as Juvi found his second wind. After a sitout pumphandle facebuster - Juvi went for the pin - One, Two, Thre...shoulder up by the champion! Juvi continued on the offensive, getting yet another nearfall when he hit a bridging Dragon Sulpex to Chavo! Juvi would eventually lift up Chavo for a powerbomb, but Chavo countered and flipped down Juvi's back into a sunsetflip attempt, but Juvi sat down ont he attempt and cradled Chavo's legs! One, Two, Thr...Chavo escaped! But when both men got back to their feet, Chavo gave Juvi a poke right to the eye! With Juvi slowed, Chavo took Juvi down with a sitout side powerslam before locking on the Gory Special to Juvi to try and get him to submit! When Juvi wouldn't submit, Chavo turned the Gory Special into a facebuster! Chavo rolled Juvi over onto his back and made the nonchalant cover - One, Two, Thre....Juvi just barely got his shoulder up! A frustrated Chavo made a second attempt, this time hooking the leg - One, Two, Thre....kickout! Chavo argued with referee Nick Patrick about it being a slow count before turning his attention back to his challenger. Chavo lifted up Juvi for the brainbuster, but Juvi slid down Chavo's back and drove his knees into Chavo's back with a modified back breaker! The crowd came alive for Juvi as he continued on the attack before hitting the JUVI DRIVER to Chavo! Big pop fro Juvi who jumped back up to his feet and stood at Chavo's head. Juvi gave Chavo's arm a kick before bouncing off the ropes, leaping over Chavo, bouncing off the opposite ropes and...BIG BOOT FROM BRYAN CLARKE! Nick Patrick immediately called for the disqualiciation.
WINNER - Juventud Guerrera by disqualification
(89/78/100)

Kronik was met by loud boos as they saved Chavo Guerrero from losing the Cruiserweight Title. Together they pulled Juvi up to his feet...HIGH TIMES from Kronik! Chavo Guerrero got to his feet and took his Cruiserweight title from Nick Patrick. Chavo lifted his title up in victory despite his DQ loss, posing over Juvi's fallen body with Kronik by his side.

Chain Match
Diamond Dallas Page vs. Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli (w/Kimberly Page)

In what was their fourth showdown, this time Page and Stamboli were tied together by the arm by a steel chain. This wasn't your old school strap match, so no need to hit all four corners to win the match...you still had to win this one by pinfall or submission. This one was all DDP early - who seemed to love the idea that he could beat Stamboli senseless with a chain and there was nowhere that Stamboli could run. Page literally WHIPPED Stamboli around the ring and ringside. Page used the chain to toss Stamboli into the ringsteps and into the ring barrier as well. Kim watched with concern as it looked like their idea of the chain match was backfiring. Kim decided to help her man by raking DDP's back. This distracted Page long enough as he stared down his wife, who apparently waved the restraining order for this one night only. As Page was distracted, Stamboli used the chain to LOW BLOW DDP! Stamboli threw DDP head first into the ring steps!

Stamboli took firm control of Page, using the chain in any way he could. Wrapping it up to punch Page, whipping it across Page's back, and even wrapping the chain around Page's throat and violently choking him. Kimberly cheered her man on from ringside as he was dominating DDP with the chain. Stamboli tossed Page into the corner where he worked him over with punches and kicks to the midsection. He then pulled Page out of the corner by the chain into a variation of a short arm clothesline using the chain to pull DDP in. In a particularly scarey moment, Stamboli wrapped the chain around Page's throat and tossed him over the top rope...literally hanging Page out of the ring by his throat! Referee Charles Robinson tried to pull Stamboli off of Page while at ringside Kim was reaching up and gouging Page's eyes with her long nails! Stamboli finally climbed to the outside to releave the tension off Page's neck and throat - but continued on the attack.

Stamboli took his time with Page on the outside before grabbing the ringsteps and attempting to slam them down onto Page, but Page got his legs up and kicked the steps back into Stmaboli's face! Both Stamboli and Page were slow to recover, but Page fired some right hands at Stamboli before rolling him back into the ring. Page whipped Stamboli repeatedly with the chain once again. Page pulled Stamboli up and went for the Diamond Cutter - but Stamboli shoved Page off into the ropes and threw him to the mat with the chain! Stamboli went back on the attack with the chain, knocking Page down to the mat with a chain wrapped lariat! Stamboli went for the pin - One, Two, Thre....shoulder up by DDP! Stamboli continued on the attack, picking up several more nearfalls before Page began to mount a furious comeback with blood now running down his face. Page lifted up Stamboli and gave him an atomic drop across the chain! Stamboli was in a world of hurt...he tried to get away, but Page stopped him with the chain...and pulled Stamboli over via the chain into the DIAMOND CUTTER! Page made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Diamond Dallas Page by pinfall
(71/74/66)

Page immediately unstrapped himself from the chain after the match, but wrapped the chain around Stamboli's throat before pulling him up...ANOTHER DIAMOND CUTTER to Stamboli! Page climbed the turnbuckles in celebration and then exited through the crowd as Kimberly climbed into the ring to check on The Bull.

Update on Sting
Backstage, Booker T was with his Team Booker teammates - Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Rey Mysterio. Scott Hudson entered the locker room and wanted to know if they had heard anything about Sting. Booker said he was getting worried, because Sting was suppose to call him and let him know if he was going to be cleared. On cue, Booker's cell phone went off. He answered the call and found out that Sting was ON HIS WAY! Hudson wanted to know if Sting had enough time to get to the arena...Booker T said he was going to be cutting it VERY close....

WCW United States/Canadian Heavyweight Championship Match
Lance Storm (c) vs. Sean O'Haire

This would definitely be O'Haire's biggest match of his career as he had the opportunity to win his first singles gold in WCW and hopefully bring the title home to the United States. But Storm was on his A-Game tonight as this duo meshed well together and put on an outstanding match. After some early mat wrestling from Storm, O'Haire overpowered Lance and drove him to the mat with a sidewalk slam. O'Haire unleashed a wide variety of martial arts offense to Storm - working him over with jabs and kicks. As O'Haire was in control of the champion - Devon Storm made his way down to the ring. O'Haire immediately saw the former 'Crowbar' making his way to the ring, and found himself distracted long enough for Lance Storm to attack O'Haire from behind! A German Suplex from Lance Storm netted him a two count. Storm began strategically working over O'Haire's legs to not only set him up for the Canadian Mapleleaf, but also weakening the impact his martial arts kicks would have. Lance continued on the attack until Storm ran into a knee lift from a waiting O'Haire in the corner. O'Haire charged out of the corner with a big clothesline to Lance! When Storm got back to his feet, Lance took him back down with a roundhouse kick, but O'Haire was slow after the move thanks to his weakened leg.

As O'Haire continued to control the pace of the match, he lifted up Lance into a fireman's carry - but Devon Storm climbed onto the apron. O'Haire began to 'lose his cool' as he dropped Lance to the mat and grabbed Devon...O'Haire pull Devon into the ring and put him in a fireman's carry and then dropped him with a DDT! O'Haire sent Devon packing to ringside, but turned around into a stiff superkick from Lance! Lance went for the pin - One, Two, Thre...KICKOUT! O'Haire was still in it much to the dismay of Lance. Lance stayed on the attack and would soon trap O'Haire in the Canadian Maple Leaf! Referee Mark Armstrong checked on O'Haire, but O'Haire responded with a frantic head shake to show he was not giving up. O'Haire fought his way to the ropes!

Storm broke the hold after a five count, but stayed on the attack until O'Haire began to fight his way back to his feet! Out of nowhere, O'Haire hit a belly-to-belly suplex to Storm! O'Haire hit a military press slam before picking Storm back up and hitting a rolling fireman's carry to Lance! O'Haire looked to put Storm away as he headed up to the top turnbuckle calling for the Seanton Bomb! But Devon Storm had recovered! He climbed the apron and tried to shove O'Haire off the ropes, but O'Haire kicked Devon in the face. Devon stumbled backwards and was confronted by Mark Armstrong who ejected Devon Storm from ringside! Meanwhile, Lance Storm recovered and climbed the turnbuckle with O'Haire. The two battled on the top turnbuckle until O'Haire shoved Lance back off the turnbuckle to the mat! O'haire stabilized himself and came off the top with the Seanton Bomb...BUT Storm rolled out of the way! Both men were slow to get back to their feet - An angry O'haire charged at Storm, but Storm slid between O'Haire's legs and rolled him into the Canadian Mapleleaf! O'Haire tried to fight it off and began crawling to the ropes, but Lance Storm pulled him back to the middle of the ring....O'Haire could fight it no longer...he tapped out!
WINNER - Lance Storm by submission
(83/77/90)

MAIN EVENT - WAR GAMES
Team Booker vs. The Gentlemen's Club

The cage lowered onto the doubled rings with pyro shooting from the cage as it came down. This signaled it was time for WAR GAMES! Coming down to the ring first to represent Team Booker was Rey Mysterio while the first representative for The Gentlemen's Club was one half of the WCW Tag Team Champions - Curt Hennig! Hennig entered the ring and the door was shut behind him by Charles Robinson while Nick Patrick was our referee on the inside of the cage. Rey immediately was using his speed to avoid the advances of Hennig, and hit a few dropkicks to Hennig's leg. Rey slid between Hennig's legs and then dropkicked him in the back, sending Hennig face first into the cage! The high energy offense continued from Rey as he springboarded off the ropes and took Hennig to the mat with a bulldog! Rey continued to fire up the crowd and have control over a shocked Hennig. As the five minute clock began to wind down, Rey was busy hitting the Bronco Buster to Hennig! Time expired and out came the next member of The Gentlemen's Club per the win by Flair at Thunder.

Out next was Mark Jindrak! Jindrak entered the cage an was met head on by Mysterio with a dropkick! Mysterio was holding his own with Jindrak until Hennig recovered and attacked Mysterio from behind! It was two on one for the easy advantage for The Gentlemen's Club. Jindrak and Hennig pounded Mysterio to the mat before they lifted him back up. They sent Mysterio into the ropes and hit a big double shoulderblock to Mysterio! Jindrak put Rey in a full nelson as Hennig began to throw punches at Mysterio as the clock began to expire....3...2..1...BUZZ!

BOOKER T sprinted down to the ring. The captain climbed into the ring and immediately took out Hennig! Jindrak tried to fight the WCW champion, but Booker took him to the mat with a bicycle kick. Mysterio recovered to his feet to make sure the odds stayed even for Team Booker! Booker sent Hennig to the second ring while Rey and Jindrak continued to battle in ring number one! Jindrak began to overpowere Mysterio in ring one as Booker continued on the offensive attack to Hennig! Jindrak picked up Rey and bench pressed him before tossing him head first into the cage! Hennig began to fight back against Booker as the countdown began....3...2..1...BUZZ!

Ric Flair slowly made his way down to the ring to a ton of heel heat. Flair entered the cage and immediately went after Booker, hitting him from behind with a chopblock - allowing for Hennig and Flair to work over the champion together while Jindrak continued to use his strength advantage to keep Rey grounded in Ring 1. Flair and Hennig took Booker to the mat with a big double vertical suplex before they began stomping away at the champion...3...2...1...BUZZ!

Kevin Nash was out next for Team Booker! The crowd gave 'Big Sexy' a big pop as he headed down to the ring. Once in the ring, he took out Mark Jindrak right away with a knee lift. He then stepped into the second ring and took out Hennig with a right hand before dropping Flair with a Big Boot! Nash cleaned house, lifting up Flair and dropping him with the Snake Eyes across the top turnbuckle! Booker recovered back to his feet and joined Nash in taking on the tag champs while Rey Mysterio recovered and planted Jindrak with a Tornado DDT! With the sides evened, Team Booker seemed to have the clear advantage! But that would soon come to an end as the clock winded down....3...2..1...BUZZ!

Shawn Stasiak sprinted down to the ring to cage, immediately attacking Rey from behind to help out his partner Jindrak. Jindfrak and Stasiak now worked over Rey in ring 1 while Flair and Hennig began to turn the tables on Booker and Nash in ring 2. Flair hit a low blow to Booker to bring him down before he attacked Nash with a chopblock to help out Hennig. Flair gave Nash a low blow of his own! Flair took Booker to the mat with a kneebreaker before locking in a figure four leglock! Hennig stomped on Booker T as Flair continued to have the hold latched in. 3...2...1...BUZZ!

Scott Hall ran down to the ring and entered the cage, immediately taking out Hennig with a clothesline and then breaking up the Figure Four on Booker with a stomp to Flair. Hall entered ring 1 to help out Rey - taking out Jindrak with a clothesline and then going toe to toe with Stasiak. Jindrak came at Hall with a crossbody, but Hall caught him and threw him into the side of the cage with a Fallaway Slam! As Team Booker began to take control inside the cage again...the countdown was on...3...2..1...BUZZ!

Out came...no one. There was awkward silence as The Gentlemen's Club's mystery member did not make an appearance. So...the match continued in the ring! Hall set up Jindrak for the Outsider's Edge, but Stasiak attacked Hall from behind! But Rey came running in with a running head scissor takedown! Back in Ring 2 - Nash was working over Flair in one corner while Booker was working over Hennig in the other. An eye poke from Hennig allowed him to turn the tables on Booker! Flair fought his way out of the corner as well with some knife edge chops to Nash! Hennig took Booker to the mat with a back suplex while in Ring 1 - Jindrak and Stasiak had taken back control of the ring as Stasiak choked Rey with his boot against the mat and Jindrak raked Hall's face against the side of the cage. 3...2...1....BUZZ!

Out came...again, no one. This was suppose to be Sting's entrance - but it looked like he had not made it to the arena in time after being cleared for action. So the match continued in the ring as Jindrak and Stasiak hit the Mark of Perfection to Rey Mysterio! The fans came alive as Scott Steiner made his way down to the ring! Steiner entered the cage as Team Booker's fifth member! Steiner took out Jindrak and Stasiak both with Steinerlines before climbing into the second ring and taking out Flair and Hennig as well! Steiner pulled Booker to his feet and told him to get to work! Booker agreed and suddenly Team Booker had the 5 on 4 advantage! A distressed Stacy Keibler ran down to the ring as she noticed her team was in trouble. In Ring 1, Scott Hall hit the Outsiders Edge to Stasiak while Scott Steiner took Jindrak down with an Exploder Suplex! Steiner locked in the Steiner Recliner to Jindrak....Nick Patrick checked in on Jindrak...but before he could submit, Hennig broke it up! Hennig was brought down by Nash!

Stacy Keibler reached under the apron and brought out a lead pipe! She slid it into the ring where Flair went to grab it...but Scott Steiner stepped on it and prevented Flair from picking it up! Steiner picked up the lead pipe and smiled as he held it in his hand. Hennig tried to attack Steiner from behind, but Steiner turned and laid out Hennig with the lead pipe! Steiner then took a swing at Flair with the pipe...but Flair ducked and Steiner accidentally laid out Rey Mysterio! Steiner dropped the pipe in shock as Booker T immediately got in Steiner's face. Ric Flair meanwhile picked up the lead pipe and charged at the two arguing teammates...

Steiner shoved Booker out of the way and took the shot from the lead pipe! Steiner hit the mat as Jindrak and Stasiak hit dueling low blows to Hall and Nash! They took The Outsiders to the mat as Booker fought back against Flair! Suddenly out came STING! Sting made his way down to the ring to a big pop from the crowd as Flair kicked Booker right between the legs! Flair picked up the lead pipe and reared back to knock out Booker with the lead pipe...but Sting entered the cage and pulled the pipe from out of Flair's hands! A shocked Flair immediately begged for forgiveness from Sting as Sting threatened to lay him out...but Sting turned and NAILED BOOKER IN THE HEAD WITH THE PIPE! The surprised crowd was dumbfounded..as was our three announcers at ringside. A confident Flair got to his feet as Sting used the lead pipe to lay out Hall and Nash as well! The crowd's once loud cheers for Sting had turned to boos as he pulled Rey Mysterio to the center of the ring and locked in the Scorpion Deathlock while Flair stomped on Mysterio's back! Nick Patrick was there as Mysterio was forced to submit with the rest of his teammates incapacitated.
WINNERS - The Gentlemen's Club by submission
(80/84/71)

Tenay, Callis, and Gilberti were at a loss for words as Flair, Hennig, Jindrak, and Stasiak joined Sting together in the ring. Sting and Flair shook hands before Flair lifted up Sting's arm in victory! Tenay called this whole event DISGUSTING. The show came to a close as we all search for answers, but in the ring The Gentlemen's Club was victorious and stronger than ever.

WCW Tuesday Nitro
September 18, 2001
Live from the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri
Announcers: Mike Tenay & Glenn Gilberti

Highlights from the War Games match at Fall Brawl kicked off Nitro as Sting turned his back on Team Booker to join The Gentlemen's Club - allowing The Gentlemen's Club to pick up the win in War Games. After the standard Nitro opening, Mike tenay and Glenn Gilberti welcomed us to Nitro where we were looking for answers tonight after the man who has always been the face of WCW has turned his back on the fans to align himself with Ric Flair and The Gentlemen's Club.

We need not wait too long for answers, because out came Sting, Ric Flair and the rest of the Gentlemen's Club to kick off the show. Sting was not wearing his traditional face paint, and instead was au naturale. They were met with loud boos from the St. Louis crowd. Ric Flair took the microphone first and proclaimed it to be celebration night for the Gentlemen's Club. And introducing their newest member...THE ICON of WCW...STING!

Sting took the microphone and waited for the booing to subside before speaking. Sting said things were changing in WCW and he was not pleased with the directions things were going. He has spent YEARS in the lime light...he spent years where HE was the Captain of the teams going into War Games. But now he found himself playing second fiddle to Booker T week in and week out. Sting said HIS time wasn't over yet. He is still THE ICON. So yeah, he spent the last month playing some mind games with Booker T and Scott Steiner with a trusty lead pipe...and in the end it paid off. Those two spent most of the months at each other's throat that his defection went completely unnoticed by everyone involved. And in the end, who was standing tall? Not Booker T after last night.

Which brought us to the fallout of War Games. Hulk Hogan said that the winning team would get to do the 'booking' of WCW's next Pay-Per-View...the annual Halloween Havoc! And it was going to be a SCREAM! Sting said they weren't going to waste any time getting to work on making it the best show the Gentlemen's Club could ask for. That's why he's making the main event RIGHT NOW!

At Halloween Havoc...Booker T will defend the WCW Title against THE ICON of WCW...STING! And Sting promised that he would once again be on TOP of the wrestling world.

"Sirens" hit the PA system as "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner lumbered his way down the aisle and into the ring to join the Gentlemen's Club in the ring. Steiner said he couldn't believe what he was seeing. After spending the last month defending himself against these attacks...it turned out Sting was responsible all along? Steiner called it some 'BS' and said he thought Sting was better than that...to align himself with Flair. Steiner demanded some retribution from the group...he wanted Sting, TONIGHT!

"American Made" brought out our Chairman of the Board Hulk Hogan! Hogan said that The Gentlemen's Club may have control over what happens at Halloween Havoc...but he's still in charge tonight. And he liked the sound of that match. So Hogan was making it official...tonight's main event would put Sting one-on-one against Scott Steiner!

KroniK (w/Chavo Guerrero) vs. Dustin Rhodes & Hugh Morrus
The WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero led his paid bodyguards of Brian Adams and Bryan Clarke down to the ring with his steel briefcase in hand. This gave Tenay and Gilberti the chance to recap the cruiserweight title match from Fall Brawl, which obviously did not go the way Juventud Guerrera would've liked since Chavo still had the belt tonight. While Juvi did win, it was by DQ and thus Chavo still holds the belt. Thanks in large part...well completely thanks to the team in action now. Rhodes and Morrus do what they've been doing best for the past month or two, and that's put over the team they're up against. While typically anything with Adams and Clarke is cringe-worthy at best - the duo complimented well with Morrus & Rhodes leading us to a decent match up by KroniK standards. In the end, they proved to be too much for Rhodes and Morrus as they put away Rhodes with the High Times for the three count victory.
WINNERS - KroniK by pinfall

Bringing Pride to The Homeland
Backstage, Scott Hudson was standing by with Andrew Martin to talk about what happened last week on Thunder when Martin walked out on Sean O'Haire in a match against Lance Storm and Devon Storm. Martin said he had been listening for weeks about Lance Storm insulting the fact that he wasn't the Canadian he needed to be. Martin said that as much as he hated to admit it - Storm was exactly right. Ever since coming to WCW, Martin was a push over. But he's not going to be a disgrace to Canada anymore. He was going to make his homeland proud...starting TONIGHT!

-----

Andrew Martin vs. Sean O'Haire
Martin was looking to 'make his homeland proud' while O'Haire was just looking for some payback to Martin for leaving him high and dry on Thunder last week. Tenay and Gilberti recaped O'Haire's match with Lance Storm which saw O'Haire coming close to walking out with the United States title, but in the end Lance Storm once again was able to retain the title and continue to refer to it as the Canadian Heavyweight Title. O'Haire clearly had an axe to grind here as he and Martin were trading hard hitting blows with one another. Martin was testing what he could get away with legally with referee Mark Armstrong as he backed O'Haire into the corner and began choking him with his boot. Martin barely broke up the hold after the five count. Armstrong warned Martin, but he went back on the attack. O'Haire was becoming more angry with the situation as Martin continued to bend the rules. When O'Haire snapped, he himself found himself being warned by Armstrong. In the end, Martin ended up getting himself disqualified after he once again choked O'Haire with his boot against the mat. When Armstrong got to the five count - he tried to break it up, but Martin shoved the referee down causing the DQ!
WINNER - Sean O'Haire by disqualification
(63/72/71)

After being DQed, Martin brought a chair into the ring and nailed O'Haire across the head with it twice before hitting the Pumphandle Slam to leave O'Haire lying in the ring.

Still in Charge
Backstage in the luxury suite of The Gentlemen's Club - the group was in full force - sipping from champaign and enjoying the prescense of several lovely ladies (including of course Stacy Keibler) - when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall stormed into the suite. The group jumped to attention as Nash and Hall were insulting Sting for being a trader but also demanding a shot at Flair & Hennig's tag titles. Flair said "I don't think so" - there was no way they'd put these belts on the line at Halloween Havoc. Nash said that was fine, they didn't have to do it at Halloween Havoc.

In walked Hulk Hogan to restore some order. He reminded Flair once again that he was still in charge of Nitro...and in fact, there WOULD be a tag title match...NEXT WEEK! The Outsiders would challenge Flair & Hennig for the belts in next week's main event!

Nash and Hall were satisfied with Hogan's decision while the partying in the Gentlemen's Club seemed to be taken down a notch.

WCW United States/Canadian Heavyweight Title Match
Lance Storm (c) (w/Devon Storm) vs. Billy Kidman (w/Torrie)

Storm, fresh off his successful title defense against Sean O'Haire at Fall Brawl, turned right around and put on another high quality match as he proved to be a real fighting champion as he defended against former tag champion Billy Kidman. Kidman has been known for his success in the cruiserweight division and even the tag division with Rey Mysterio - but his success outside those divisions remains up in the air. A win against Lance Storm to take the US title would certainly put him in the right direction. But that was a tall task for anyone. Storm was as prepared as ever as he took on Kidman. Storm quickly grounded Kidman after an opening outburst of offense from Kidman. Storm immediately began working over Kidman's legs and locked in the Canadian Mapleleaf a lot quicker than usual - but Kidman was able to grab the ropes pretty quickly as well. Storm continued on the attack, but Kidman reversed a back suplex into a bulldog to give himself some momentum. However when Kidman would set up Lance for the Kid Krusher, Lance reached down and pulled Kidman's legs out from under him and then stepped over into the Canadian Mapleleaf! Storm pulled Kidman to the center of the ring where he was forced to submit!
WINNER - Lance Storm by submission
(72/71/92)

A New Contender
After successfully defeating Billy Kidman and once again retaining the title, Lance Storm took the microphone and asked if he could be serious for a moment. But he was starting to think there was no serious challengers out there for the Canadian Heavyweight Title. He was starting to think he has literally defeated everyone there is to defeat. He has said he was a fighting champion and isn't afraid to defend the belt...and there's nothing that he enjoys more than watching the NitroVision after a win and seeing the look on his opponent's face when he tapped out to the Canadian Mapleleaf. Just look at it now...as a replay of Kidman tapping out showed up on the screen. But Storm was starting to think there was no one in the back who could 'realistically' challenge for his title.

"SELF HIGH FIVE"

The crowd got to their feet as Diamond Dallas Page walked out, still showing some signs of his chain match with Johnny Stamboli from Fall Brawl - but looking better than one would imagine Stamboli would look now. Page climbed into the ring and said that HE happened to be in the back and HE happens to be a REAL SERIOUS challenger and would love to take out Storm with the Diamond Cutter. He said he had held that title on more than one occassion...well not the way Storm had disgraced it with the Canadian flag, but the real one...the AMERICAN one. Page is also a THREE TIME, THREE TIME, THREE TIME WCW World Champion...so if anyone can beat Storm, Page said he was up for the challenge.

Storm appreciated the history lesson - but has one of his own. Back in July, Storm pinned Page right in the middle of the ring to retain the Canadian Heavyweight Title.

Page laughed and said that Storm shouldn't be fooling himself. They both know how he won that match, and if someone who claims to hold himself in such high regards like Lance should be OFFERING a rematch if he wins a match in that manner. Lance said he would have no problem giving Page another shot at the Canadian Heavyweight Title...but in the end, it would only be embarrassment for him when THIS time he made him tap out to the Candian Mapleleaf. DDP had a different take on how it would end...and it would end with Storm feeling the BANG!

So Sorry For Your Loss
Backstage, Juventud Guerrera was gearing up for his upcoming match when Shannon Moore and his 3 count buddies walked into the locker room with him. They expressed their 'sincere' apologizes for Juvi not walking out of Fall Brawl as the Cruiserweight champion. They said it was 'too bad' and that he was still 'their champion.' The sarcasm so was thick you could cut it with a knife. Juvi responded in kind, saying that at least he technically won his match....which he couldn't say the same about 3 Count's match at Fall Brawl...OR...Shannon Moore's match tonight. Juvi then asked them if they felt what the Juice was squeezin' and said THAT was the bottom line!

-----

Juventud Guerrera vs. Shannon Moore (w/3 Count)
Juventud clearly was not satisfied with the way he won the match at Fall Brawl since he still did not have the WCW Cruiserweight Title. He had to turn around and take on Shannon Moore in singles action tonight, who also wanted to pick up a win after a loss at the PPV to the new team Hot Commodity. Moore and Juvi went back and forth, with Karagias and Matthews providing whatever help they could from ringside to their partner in the ring. In fact, it would be 3 count's ringside assistance that proved to be very significant in the outcome. Juvi had Moore all put away with the JuviDriver, but when he went for the Juicy Elbow - Matthews distracted the referee as Karagias tripped Juvi off the ropes! As Juvi was getting back to his feet, Moore recovered and hit the Bottoms Up to Juvi! Moore hooked the leg - One, Two, Three! Big win for Shannon Moore!
WINNER - Shannon Moore by interference
(72/75/88)

After the match, Joey Matthews and Evan Karagias joined in on a 3-on-1 to Juvi...until Juvi's Mexico's Most Wanted partner Psicosis rushed the ring and chased off 3 Count! Psicosis checked on Juvi as we went to break.

Played for a Sucka
Backstage, Scott Hudson was finally able to track down WCW World Champion Booker T to get his thoughts on what went down at Fall Brawl. Booker was calm in his interview - stating that he likes to use the word 'sucka' a lot when talking about his opponents...but it looks like the number one 'sucka' was actually Booker himself. He spent so much time worrying about who to put on his Team...worrying about who he could trust...tossing unwarranted accusations at Scott Steiner, when all along it was the man who he thought he could trust the most that stabbed the knife through his back. Sting played him like a true 'sucka.' Booker said there would be no more mind games from Sting...at Halloween Havoc he would have no problem defending his title against Sting because quite frankly, right now there is no one he'd rather be taking on. But at Halloween Havoc - he could gaurantee that it would NOT be Booker who would be the sucka.....NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT?

MAIN EVENT
"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. "The Icon" Sting (w/Stacy Keibler)

In Sting's first 'official' match as a member of the Gentlemen's Club - he faced the man he worked so hard to frame the past month - Steiner. Steiner definitely wanted to get his hands on Sting, and wasted no time slugging away at Sting at the start of the match. The crowd was as electric as we've seen lately in WCW - as they were behind Steiner as loud as ever and Sting had the crowd's full hatred for his betrayal. Sting rolled to the outside to escape Steiner's onslaught - and got into an arguement with a fan at ringside before Steiner caught up to Sting and continued his abuse on the outside. Steiner sent Sting into the apron, the guard rail, the announce booth, and even the ring steps before rolling 'The Icon' back into the ring. Steiner climbed back into the ring and dropped an elbow across Sting before going for the pin - One, Two, kickout by Sting. Stacy Keibler distracted Charles Robinson has Sting hit a low blow to Steiner to slow Big Poppa Pump down and take control. Sting took Steiner to the mat and began working over his lower back with stomps and a few elbow drops.

Sting continued on the attack - sending Steiner into the corner and lighting up his chest with repeated chops and punches. Sting went for a Stinger Splash...but Steiner caught him and turned it into an Exploder Suplex! Steiner suddenly found an outburst of offense as he hit a few more suplexes to Sting before locking in the Steiner Recliner! But Stacy Kiebler jumped onto the apron - once again distracting Robinson as Mark Jindrak and Shawn Stasiak hit the ring - attacking Steiner from behind! They double teamed Steiner to the mat and continued to lay the boots to him as Sting got to his feet. Sting sent them out of the ring as Keibler got down. Sting pulled up Steiner - SCORPION DEATH DROP! Sting hooked Steiner's leg - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - "The Icon" Sting
(78/100/60)

Jindrak and Stasiak re-entered the ring as Sting ordered them to pick Steiner back up. Keibler brought in the lead pipe to Sting and handed it to him. Sting trash talked the restrained Steiner before leaning back to strike Steiner with the pipe...but out came Booker T! Sting and the Gentlemen's Club duo immediately hit the deck and escaped to ringside as Booker T slid into the ring. The crowd was on their feet in support of Booker as he paced around the ring in anger. Sting stopped at the stage to turn and face the ring with a big smile on his face as Booker helped Steiner to his feet in the ring. Booker and Sting stared each other down as the show came to a close.

WCW Thursday Thunder
September 20, 2001
From the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Missouri
Announcers: Don Callis & Ernest 'The Cat' Miller

Thunder got kicked off with it's usual intro as Don Callis and The Cat welcomed us to the show. They did not have much to hype yet, but promised us that the Gentlemen's Club would be here in full force tonight to continue to build up Halloween Havoc. Thanks to their win in War Games, they could book Halloween Havoc however they saw fit.

"Self High Five!"

The crowd got to their feet as 'The People's Champion' Diamond Dallas Page made his way down to the ring through the crowd. He climbed over the barrier and then into the ring. He took the microphone and said it was good to be back in Columbia! He recapped what happened on Nitro between he and Lance Storm - and how they all but signed a contract for a United States title match...however, that meant nothing because the Gentlemen's Club were the ones in charge of deciding matches at Halloween Havoc. So he wanted someone to come down to the ring RIGHT NOW and make the match official.

Answering Page's call was one half of the WCW Tag Champions - Curt Hennig. Hennig made his way out to scattered boos from the crowd. Hennig climbed into the ring and said he heard Page's request, but he's not too sure he feels like granting it. In fact, Hennig was thinking that while he loves having the tag title...he wouldn't mind having ANOTHER belt around his waist. So maybe HE will take on Lance Storm himself at Halloween Havoc for the United States championship!

Page called Hennig a 'monkeyboy' and said that how about instead of just giving himself a match, he do something he doesn't usually do - and that's EARN the match. Page suggested Hennig and himself square off tonight, and with Hennig's 'blessing' - the winner would receive the US Title shot at Halloween Havoc.

Hennig was reluctant, but Page reminded Hennig of how Sting and Flair like to talk about how prestigious their group is...he wouldn't want to look like a 'chicken' who ran from a fight in front of his leaders, now would he? Hennig, almost Marty McFly like, took insult to being called 'chicken' - and said that it was ON! Later tonight, Page and Hennig would do battle with the winner receiving a US Title shot!

Hot Commodity (w/Alicia Webb) vs. Double Jeopardy
Strangely enough, Bigelow and Candido were without their valet tonight, Tammy Sytch. Meanwhile, Alicia brought out here young, upstart team of Cassidy O'Reilly and Air Paris who have been impressive since their arrival in WCW with a big PPV victory at Fall Brawl over 3 Count. Tonight their challenge was higher as they faced off against the Beast from the East Bam Bam Bigelow - easily the largest opponent they had faced so far. Their strategy? Well, keep Candido in the ring as much as possible of course. This seemed to work for a while, but eventually Candido did get the tag to Bigelow, who cleaned house and dominated his smaller opponents. Bigelow was looking like a dominant animal in the ring until out of nowhere Candido reversed Bigelow's offense into a tornado DDT! This took Bigelow down and brought the tag to Candido while Paris brought in O'Reilly! O'Reilly came in flying and took Candido down! With Bigelow slow to recover, O'Reilly and Paris took advantage - hitting the HOT SHOT to Candido! O'Reilly with the pin - One, Two, Three! Hot Commodity continues to roll!
WINNERS - Hot Commodity by pinfall
(66/53/79)

O'Reilly and Paris did not have long to celebrate before all three members of 3 Count hit the ring to attack Hot Commodity! O'Reilly and Paris were trying to hold their own against the the 3-on-2 advantage, but were not having much success until Mexico's Most Wanted sprinted down to the ring to make the save! It was a three team mele until another team added to the attack as KroniK lumbered down to the ring! Brian Adams and Bryan Clarke entered the ring and began cleaning house of the smaller teams in the ring! KroniK cleared the ring and stood tall amidst boos from the crowd.

Stacy Keibler walked out from the back and stood on the stage as all four teams stood either in the ring our recovering at ringside. Keibler said this was certainly an interesting development in our tag team division. She said that none of them 'deserve' a shot at Hennig & Flair's tag titles at Halloween Havoc...but MAYBE one of them could EARN a title shot. Keibler explained that at Halloween Havoc there was going to be a Four Way Tag match for a shot at the WCW Tag Team Titles. She couldn't confirm what teams will be involved yet...but she said they would have the chance to EARN a spot in that match.

Keibler smiled and returned to the back as all four teams at ringside seemed confident about their ability to earn a spot in that Four Way contendership match at Halloween Havoc.

Konnan vs. Mike Awesome (w/Mike Sanders)
Sanders brought out the other half of the Towers of Terror...no sign of Jimmy Hart who hasn't been seen with this group in a couple weeks. Awesome and Konnan put on a decent match which was mostly controled by Awesome as he looked impressive against his opponent. Konnan managed some limited offense, getting in some of his trade mark moves such as the rolling thunder lariat - but Awesome recovered and battled his way back pretty quickly. Awesome put Konnan away with a Running Awesome Bomb and picked up the three count.
WINNER - Mike Awesome by pinfall
(71/69/73)

Who do YOU Want?
Backstage, WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero nervously entered the luxury suite of The Gentlemen's Club - where Ric Flair was waiting for him. Apparently Flair had summoned the Cruiserweight champion. Flair told Guerrero to lighten up, he just wanted to talk to him. As Chavo is aware, Flair and the Gentlemen's Club are busy planning Halloween Havoc. Flair brought up that it was Chavo who was finally able to cash in the bounty he set out against Shane Helms, and the way Chavo managed to cash it in and has since held on to the Cruiserweight Title has caught Flair's attention. He said that Chavo was impressing him - and that's why he is going to get Chavo's opinion on who to defend the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against at Halloween Havoc. Chavo barely even thought over his answer and spit out 'anyone but Juvi!' Flair said 'DONE!' Later tonight, there will be an 'Anybody But Juvi Cruiserweight Battle Royal' to determine who will face Chavo at Halloween Havoc! Chavo suddenly regreted his choice of words as Flair dismissed him with a smirk.

Jindrak & Stasiak (w/Stacy Keibler) vs. German Chocolate
One would probably expect the Gentlemen's Club duo of Jindrak & Stasiak to control the offense against the team of Alex Wright and Norman Smiley...and for the most part, you would be right. Outside of some early offense from Norman Smiley, this one was dominated by the Gentlemen's Club team. In fact, there were several moments during the course of the match where Jindrak could have put away Alex Wright easily - but instead wanted to continue to add insult to his opponents - keeping up the attack instead of going for the pin. Jindrak's hubrice would be the downfall of the team - as Stasiak kept telling Jindrak to finish the match off! Things took a turn for the worse for the team when Scott Steiner made his way down from the back - clearly dissatisfied with the fact that Jindrak and Stasiak cost him the match against Sting on Nitro. Stasiak jumped down and got in Steiner's face, showing no fear while Jindrak too was distracted in the ring...distracted enough that Alex Wright rolled him up! One, Two....Stasiak tried to make the save, but Steiner held him back...THREE! Steiner let go of Stasiak in time for him to slide in the ring just as the hand came down! German Chocolate pick up the upset!
WINNERS - German Chocolate by pinfall via interference
(72/69/75)

Stacy Keibler, Mark Jindrak, and Shawn Stasiak were all outraged in the ring as a smirking Steiner backed his way up the aisle keeping his eye on the ring.

Fear the Juice
Backstage, Michelle Gold had caught up with Juventud Guerrera to get his thoughts on Chavo Guerrero making a point to exclude him from the battle royal to determine a number one contender for the Cruiserweight Title. Juvi said it did not surprise him, Chavo had every reason to FEAR THE JUICE. Juvi said he may not be in the battle royal, but he still deserved a fair shot at the Cruiserweight Title...and he would make sure he got it. And that's the bottom line if you feel what the Juice is squeezin'!

20-Man 'Anybody But Juvi' Cruiserweight Battle Royal
Basically every cruiserweight on the roster except Juvi were involved in this match including: Psicosis, Kash, all of 3 Count, and even Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio. With so many people in the ring - the eliminations came fast and furious. 3 Count faired well, working together as a threesome to eliminate a lot of the competitors early. Ultimately it came down to the final five being: Psicosis, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Evan Karagias, and Shannon Moore. Moore and Karagias worked together to eliminate Psicosis - bringing it down to Filthy Animals vs. 3 Count! Kidman and Karagias squared off while Rey and Moore went at each other. Karagias took down Kidman with a low blow and then went over to Moore and helped him with Rey. They double teamed Rey while Kidman struggled to his feet. As Karagias and Moore began trying to eliminate Rey - Kidman charged in with a head of steam...too much of one as he collided with Karagias and sent he and himself over the top rope! Moore and Mysterio were left in the ring, one on one to determine a contender. Rey risked a lot by climbing out to the apron and going for the West Coast Pop, but he springboarded in and was caught by Moore! Moore went to powerbomb Rey over the top, but Rey reversed it into a rana that sent Moore over the top rope and Rey landing on the apron! Rey Mysterio has won a title shot against Chavo Guerrero at Halloween Havoc!
WINNER - Rey Mysterio by elimination
(69/60/78)

Backstage, Chavo Guerrero was NOT happy about the results of the battle royal. One would assume if there's one person he didn't want to face more than Juvi, it had to be Rey.

What Big Clients You Have
Backstage, Mike Sanders was leading WCW Extreme Champion The Wall and Mike Awesome towards the parking lot when "The Icon" Sting stopped them. 'My, my, my - what big clients you have," Sting said to Sanders while motioning towards the Towers of Terror. Sting asked for a moment of Sanders time - which Sanders gladly agreed to, letting Wall and Awesome head out to the parking lot. Sting told Sanders he was very impressed with what he has done bringing these two forces of nature together and has loved watching them destroy the competition...Sanders shook Sting's hand and said it was an honor to hear that from such a legendary figure in wrestling. "Aw shucks," Sting commented. Sting said that he wanted to find the right opponent for The Wall at Halloween Havoc, but hadn't come up with anyone just yet. Sanders said The Wall would be willign to take on 'anyone' that The Gentlemen's Club feels like feeding to him. Sting smiled and said that's what he wanted to hear. They shook hands once again and Sting sent Sanders on his way.

Payment Past Due
In a pre-recoreded segment, we are taken to a golf course where we see Marty Jannetty of all people on the course teeing off. After he whacks the golf ball into the distance, Ted DiBiase walked out onto the course and walked up behind Jannetty, patting him on the back. Jannetty seemed surprised to see DiBiase, but quickly shook his hand. The two gave some small talk about Jannetty's golf swing before DiBiase brought up some history...a certain incident where Jannetty was turned on by his 'former partner' and then Jannetty was on some hard times after that. He was fired and when Jannetty needes some money...who did he come to? Jannetty admitted DiBiase loaned him some money to help him out in those hard times...and greatly appreciated it. DiBiase said there was just one problem...he never paid him back. Suddenly, Chuck Palumbo struck Jannetty from behind with a golf club! Jannett hit the ground and Palumbo continued to whack away at Jannetty with the golf club until it was bent and unusable. DiBiase called Palumbo off and told Jannetty he expected payment. He left a card next to Jannetty's body before DiBiase pulled out a small notepad and proceeded to strike off Jannetty's name from a list. DiBiase told Palumbo 'nice work' and it was on to the next one.

MAIN EVENT
Diamond Dallas Page vs. Curt Hennig (w/Stacy Keibler)

With a shot at the United States title on the line, Page and Hennig did battle in this week's main event. The match itself was pretty slow and okay at best - Hennig spent a lot of time working over Page with restholds that the crowd just did not seem interested in. Anytime Page started to mount a comeback, Keibler would distract referee Mark Armstrong and allow Hennig to cheat his way back into control of the match. Still, Hennig was unable to put Page away as easily as he would have liked. Hennig kept on the attack, hitting a swinging knee lift to Page before hitting a bridging belly to back suplex that earned him a two count. As Hennig tried to pull DDP to his feet, Page began battling back with jabs to Hennig's midsection. Page fought his way to his feet and hit a punch combination followed by a discus clothesline! Page got back to his feet and stomped on Hennig before pulling him up. An inverted atomic drop from Page led to a gutwrench gutbuster and Page signaled for the Diamond Cutter, which brought Keibler up to the apron!

Keibler's distraction allowed Hennig to sneak in a low blow and retake control of the offense. Hennig worked over Page and went for the HennigPlex, but Page fought free! Hennig quickly kneed Page in the midsection to put a stop to that and then whipped Page into the ropes. Off the ropes, Henning went for a clothesline - but Page floated over and hit the Diamond Cutter! Page with the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Diamond Dallas Page
(75/76/73)

Page celebrated in the ring as Stacy Keibler showed he frustration on the outside. Page threw up the Diamond Cutter sign on the turnbuckles before jumping to ringside and exiting through the crowd. Page had cemented his title shot at Halloween Havoc and now was celebrating with the crowd as Thunder came to a close!

WCW Tuesday Nitro
September 25, 2001
LIVE from the All-State Arena in Rosemont, Illinois
Announcers: Mike Tenay & Glenn Gilberti

The intro for Nitro this week hyped up tonight's main event which would be a big WCW Tag Team Championship match against one of the biggest tag teams of the last five years - The Outsiders against current champions Ric Flair & Curt Hennig of the Gentlemen's Club.

Mike Tenay & Glenn Gilberti welcomed us to the show and gave some more hype to the tag title match but also informed us that among other matches we would see tonight would be Diamond Dallas Page going up against Devon Storm and Mexico's Most Wanted taking on 3 Count in a qualifying match for that fourway tag match at Halloween Havoc.

But kicking off the show this week was our WCW World Champion Booker T!

Booker T said it takes a lot to first earn Booker's trust and then it takes even more to cover his eyes to the truth for so long while you played mind games. But Sting may have been the first person to ever do both successfully to Booker. And he said that Sting was proving just how much of a coward he truly is since he refused to even be in the same room as Booker ever since War Games.

That's why Booker wanted Sting to come down to the ring right NOW and face him like a man, and own up for his actions.

After a brief awkward pause, "The Icon" Sting made his way down to the ring to boos from the crowd. A cocky and facepaintless Sting climbed into the ring and took a microphone. He told Booker that as we can now see, he is certainly no coward...he he stands before the very man he stabbed ruthlessly in the back. And Sting said he would do it again in a heartbeat. And it's not because he doesn't like Booker, it's quite the opposite. He'll admit that he was jealous of Booker. He's man enough to admit that. He was tired of being a part of the Booker T show. Because that's what it felt like WCW was now...when it used to be the Stinger show. He wanted it to be the Stinger show once again. And NOW...with the Gentlemen's Club, he felt like the Stinger show was coming back!

Booker T shook his head in disgust - he told Sting it's been the Stinger show for the the past 10 years. Booker T said he was willing to share the spotlight with Sting - they had a great match at Mayhem, but Booker T walked out the victor.

Sting said things would be different at Halloween Havoc. In more ways than one....because he's adding a NEW stipulation to the Title match at Halloween Havoc. It will have a SPECIAL REFEREE! Booker T wanted to know who....and his questioned was answered as Ric Flair slid into the ring behind Booker and low blowed the champ! Sting grabbed Booker and dropped him with the Scorpion Deathdrop!

Flair lifted Sting's arm in victory - possibly a prelude of things to come?

"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Mark Jindrak (w/Stacy Keibler)
After Jindrak and Stasiak cost Steiner a match against Sting last week - Steiner turned the tables on the duo on Thunder by costing THEM a match against the comedy team of German Chocolate. Jindrak and Stasiak WERE not happy to say the least about being humiliated in such fashion. Jindrak had his chance at redemption as he took on Steiner one-on-one - the two even traded in a bit of a flex-off at the beginning of the match - which Steiner seemed to win with ease. As the match got underway, Jindrak was holding his own against Big Poppa Pump, but soon Steiner became too much for him and Steiner found himself in firm control of the match. After lots of suplexes from Steiner, Steiner locked in the Steiner Recliner to Jindrak, but Keibler jumped onto the apron. Steiner dropped Jindrak and walked over to Keibler, flexing his arm for her and apparently sweet talking her some. As all this was going on, Shawn Stasiak slid into the ring. Steiner turned around and was met with a boot to the nuts from Stasiak. Jindrak recovered and they hit the Mark of Perfection to Steiner! Stasiak left the ring as Keibler got down and Jindrak made the cover - One, Two, Three! Huge singles victory for Mark Jindrak!
WINNER - Mark Jindrak by pinfall via inteference
(74/80/62)

Jindrak and Stasiak stood tall over Steiner to end the match. They left Steiner lying on the ground as they headed up the aisle.

Steiner began to get to his feet in the ring as Keibler and the Gentlemen's Club duo stopped on the stage. Keibler asked for a microphone. She asked Steiner how she liked getting beat by the real Reflection of Perfection. She told Steiner that he better get used to losing to them though...because at Halloween Havoc, Steiner would be going up against Jindrak AND Stasiak in a handi-cap match!

In the ring, Steiner wasn't as upset as she expected however, as he just laughed and acted as though he was up for the challenge.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Devon Storm (w/Lance Storm)
After officially winning a title shot at Halloween Havoc against Lance Storm for the United States/Canadian Heavyweight Championship - Page found himself in the ring against the other Storm - Lance's 'cousin' - Devon. The duo locked up to start the match and Page immediately took control of the match and worked over Storm - sending him into the corner where he laid in some heavy hits to Storm's midsection. Page controled most of the offense until Lance Storm provided some distraction to allow Devon back into the match. But when Devon went for the Storm Warning to Page, Page floated over to Storm's back, turned him around, and dropped him with the Diamond Cutter! Just as Page was going for the pin - Andrew Martin hit the ring and took out Page with a big boot! Referee Billy Silverman called for the bell!
WINNER - Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification
(69/71/67)

Martin laid the boots to the fallen Page as a satisfied Lance Storm climbed into the ring and joined in the attack. Devon Storm got to his feet to join in on the 3-on-1 beatdown. Martin and Devon picked up Page, allowing Lance to lay him back out with a superkick! They then picked Page up and tossed him to ringside.

Lance Storm grabbed the microphone and stood with Martin and Devon in the ring. He began talking about the biggest names to come out of Canada. He said that most people recognize the Hart name as THE name in Canadian wrestling history.

Storm that was all about to change.

He was going to make us forget about Bret Hart. He was going to make us forget about the Hart Foundation. Because Lance Storm would go down as the greatest Canadian in wrestling history. And with the 'Canadian Enforcer' Andrew Martin and his cousin Devon Storm by his side...they would make the Hart Foundation look like....Public Enemy or High Voltage. Gone and definitely forgotten.

They are the Storm Foundation. And they are issuing a Storm Warning to WCW.

Anybody but Juvi OR Rey
Back in the personal luxury suites of The Gentlemen's Club - the WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero entered their office to speak with Ric Flair about their meeting from Thunder. Flair asked Chavo what he wanted. Chavo asked if Flair remembered that question he asked him...who he wanted to face at Halloween Havoc. Well, when he said anybody BUT Juvi...he actually meant anybody BUT Juvi...OR Rey Mysterio. Flair was sorry to hear that, but unfortunately he should've said that beforehand. Flair said it was too late now, and he'd just have to deal with it.

But Sting had an idea. Sting told Chavo not to worry about Rey Mysterio, he thought he knew just the thing to make Chavo feel better about facing Rey Mysterio at Halloween Havoc.

Mexico's Most Wanted vs. 3 Count (w/Joey Matthews)
The winner of this match would get the first spot in a 4-way match at Halloween Havoc for a shot at the WCW Tag Team Championship. Of course, who the champions would be would remain to be seen as that match was later tonight. After Shannon Moore got the upset victory against Juventud Guerrera last week - 3 Count was as confident as ever going into this tag match - and it showed in the match quality. All four men went back and forth in the ring - and Joey Matthews even got involved when Juvi hit his Air Juvi - catapulting himself off Psicosis to take out all three members of 3 Count at ringside. However, the end of the match came when Joey Matthews tried to interfere against MMW - but Cassidy O'Reilly and Air Paris came down to the ring and stopped him! With Matthews subdued at ringside, it allowed Juvi to hit the JuviDriver to Karagias while Moore was taken to the outside with a rana from Psicosis! The Juicy Elbow from Juvi finished Karagias off for the three count!
WINNERS - Mexico's Most Wanted by pinfall
(85/75/96)

With that, Mexico's Most Wanted earned them a spot at Halloween Havoc. But who would their other three opponents be? Hot Commodity certainly wanted a spot - especially after preventing 3 Count from getting that man advantage and thus keeping their rivals out of that match.

You Sure are a Pretty Thang
Backstage, Kimberly Page was walking out of the women's restroom when she was approached by Jamie Noble - who couldn't help but give a "OOOO-WE" when he saw her. Noble gave some off-color comments about her attractiveness - calling her a pretty-thang and saying he'd love to wrestle around in some mud with her. Disgusted, Kimberly called out for Johnny Stamboli in distress.

The Bull showed up and immediately confronted Noble for his advances. Noble said he meant no harm, he just likes to compliment a 'purty' lady when he sees one. Stamboli told Noble to back off and that no one talks to his woman that way. Stamboli promised to take it out on Noble in the ring tonight.

Non-Title Match
Rey Mysterio vs. The Wall (w/Mike Sanders)

Looks like this was a match that was lined up by "The Icon" Sting himself when he told Chavo he had just the thing to make Chavo feel better. Well watching your future opponent take on a man at least twice his size has to make you feel better about yourself. Rey did what he could against the massive Wall, but everything Rey threw at The Wall seemed to have little impact on the Extreme Champion. And as he looked to impress Sting and the Gentlemen's Club even more - Mike Sanders just egged Wall on more to keep dishing out more punishment when he could've just gone for the pin. Wall tossed Mysterio around the ring like a rag doll. We cut to the back where Sting was with Chavo as they watched the monitor. Sting pointed out how sick some of the offense was looking as Chavo just shook his head in strong approval. Back in the ring, the resiliant Rey tried to fight back, hitting some dropkicks to Wall's knees and even hitting him with an enziguri - but it still was not enough to even get The Wall off his feet! Rey climbed to the top turnbuckle and flew through the air at Wall, but Wall grabbed him by the throat and in midair and CHOKESLAMMED him to the mat! Wall made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - The Wall by pinfall
(79/74/79)

As Mike Sanders lifted his monster's arm in victory in the ring, backstage - Chavo continued to watch with approval.

-----

Jamie Noble vs. Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli (w/Kimberly Page)
After Noble was caught eyeing Kim - The Bull seemed to want to beat the redneck out of him. Stamboli also seemed to have a chip on his shoulder after losing the chain match with Diamond Dallas Page at Fall Brawl. He definitely felt like he had something to prove - so he just wanted to beat Noble in every way possible. Noble took a beating well, and even managed to fight back against Stamboli briefly. But an attempt of a double underhook powerbomb was reversed by Stamboli and Stamboli took back control of the match and never looked back. He finished Noble off with the Fuh-Get-About-it and made the cover to pick up the three count victory.
WINNER - Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli by pinfall
(78/75/81)

Kimberly entered the ring to celebrate with her man, who looked more at peace now that he got a win under his belt after the loss at Fall Brawl.

MAIN EVENT - WCW World Tag Team Championship Match
Ric Flair & Curt Hennig (c) (w/Stacy Keibler) vs. The Outsiders

If there's been one tag team that has been the dominant team over the past five years - it has to be Hall and Nash. Ever since they arrived to WCW in '96 - they have held the belts 6 times - most recently in December of 1999. So it's been almost two years since they tasted tag gold together and they were certainly hungry for it as they took on their rivals Flair and Hennig. The match started out with the challengers showing they came to fight tonight as Nash and Hall took a quick control over the match as Nash used his size to really work over Hennig. He got Hennig in the corner and hit repeated knees to Hennig's midsection before scooping up Hennig and dropping him face first across the turnbuckles with the Snake Eyes. Nash brought Hall into the ring who picked up where his partner left off. Hall attemtped to put Hennig out with a sleeper, but Hennig broke it up with a jawbreaker and made the tag to Flair!

Flair came in and immediately began targeting Hall's legs. He lifted Hall up and hit a kneebreaker to Hall before stomping away at Hall's leg. This allowed the champs to retake control of the match as they kept Hall in the ring from making the tag to Kevin Nash. Hennig and Flair were now looking like the dominant team in the match as they were working over Hall. Flair even locked in the Figure Four to Hall. As Nick Patrick checked in to see if Hall was going to submit, Nash tried to enter the ring to break it up. Patrick stopped to get Nash out of the ring which allowed Hennig to enter and stomp away at the trapped Hall. Hennig stomped on Hall's legs within the figure four before leaving back to the apron. Patrick checked in on Hall, who still refused to submit. With the crowd behind him, Hall managed to summon the strength to turn the hold over! Flair quickly made it to the ropes to break the hold. Flair and Hall both crawled to the corner and made tags!

Nash came in and immediately took Hennig to the mat and then took Flair down as well. Nash was on fire as he hit a Big Boot to Hennig! Flair left the ring and grabbed one of the tag titles! He climbed into the ring with the belt, but was cut off by Nick Patrick. Nash was busy watching Flair and Patrick struggle over the belt that he didn't see Keibler sliding the other tag belt in to Hennig! Hennig got to his feet and went to hit Nash with the title, but Hall pulled the belt from Hennig's hands! Hall laid out Hennig with the tag title! Hall tossed the belt to ringside as Flair was forced out of the ring as well! Nash picked up Hennig...JACK KNIFE POWER BOMB! Flair climbed back into the ring, but Hall caught him and hit the Last Call to Flair as Nash got the cover on Hennig - One, Two, Three! The Outsiders have won their 7th World Tag Team Championships!
WINNERS - The Outsiders
(83/90/68)

The crowd was on their feet in jubilation as Hall and Nash were handed the tag titles by Nick Patrick. He lifted their arms in victory as Flair and Hennig scurried up the ramp. Flair and Hennig argued over the results, but Hennig pointed out that Hall used the tag title! But in the end, it was The Outsiders celebrating their victory to the delight of the crowd that closed out Nitro.

WCW Thursday Thunder
September 27, 2001
From Rockford MetroCentre in Rockford, Illinois
Announcers: Don Callis & Ernest 'The Cat' Miller

Welcome to Thursday Thunder! Don Callis and The Cat welcomed us to the show as we immediately kicked things off with Juventud Guerrera making his way down to the ring.

Juvi did his 'FINALLY..." imitation before we flashed back to Fall Brawl where he was so close to winning the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Chavo Guerrero - only to have it taken away from him because of 'the Kronik.' Juvi made some double entendre jokes about his experiences with 'kronik' and that this was by far the worst experience he had ever had.

But Juvi found it highly unfair that he was not only left out of the battle royal for a shot at the Cruiserweight Title, but that he didn't receive any sort of rematch considering he had earned a title shot and it ended in a disqualification.

'American Made' hit the PA system, bringing out the Chairman of the Board - Hulk Hogan. Hogan game out to a big pop from the crowd as he joined Juvi in the ring. He called Juvi his 'little friend' and told him that he couldn't be more right about what happened to him at Fall Brawl. He would have loved to give Juvi a rematch at Halloween Havoc, but that was out of his hands...

However, TONIGHT is in his hands!

So Hogan decided to make the rematch tonight....Juvi versus Chavo for the WCW Cruiserweight Title! And not only that, he was going to BAR Kronik from ringside! So Juvi, channeling his inner-Hogan, asked Chavo...whatcha gonna do when THE JUICE runs wild on you!

German Chocolate vs. The Storm Foundation (w/Lance Storm)
The new team of Devon Storm and Andrew Martin came together for their first tag team match as their leader Lance Storm joined them at ringside. The European team of Alex Wright and Norman Smiley took an early advante over Devon Storm, but when they got too overconfident with their advantage and decided to do some dancing for the crowd, that proved to be a huge mistake. Devon Storm fought back and brought in Martin who dominated the smaller duo with his size. In the end, Martin showed why he was dubbed the 'Canadian Enforcer' by Lance Storm as he took out both Wright and Smiley with big boots and then put Wright away with the pumphandle slam for the three count.
WINNERS - The Storm Foundation by pinfall
(73/69/77)

-----

Jamie Noble vs. 'Primetime' Elix Skipper
This match was mostly filler cruiserweight action - though apparantly the reasoning behind the match was in last week's Cruiserweight battle royal - Skipper was eliminated by Noble and Skipper wanted a chance to get some redemption. Though it was filler, these two still went out and put on a great match like it was a title match. They went back and forth with Skipper getting several nearfalls against Noble, and hitting his trademark 'New School' rope walk rana and his Matrix counter..but ultimately Noble put Skipper away with a submission he's dubbed the 'Hog Tie' which is modified figure four leglock. Skipper quickly tapped out.
WINNER - Jamie Noble by submission
(77/64/91)

If We Don't Win - Neither Will You
Backstage, Michelle Gold was standing by with all three members of 3 Count - who were all very unhappy about their loss to Mexico's Most Wanted on Nitro. Hot Commodity played a crucial roll in the loss - keeping Joey Matthews from interfering. Shannon Moore said that they were going to make sure that Hot Commodity got what was coming to them. Karagias agreed, saying what's goes around - comes around...and if they're not going to be in the Tag Team contendership match at Halloween Havoc - neither will Hot Commodity. He promised they would be going down for the 3 Count!

Sean O'Haire vs. Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli (w/Kimberly Page)
Former Natural Born Thriller members collided in this Thunder match that saw both men looking to get back on the winning track after losses at Fall Brawl. O'Haire had Stamboli well scouted, and seemed to have a counter for just about every move Stamboli attempted. This only served to further frustrate Stamboli while Kim kept slamming her palms down on the apron to try and get her man back into the match. A cheapshot from Stamboli gave him the advantage over O'Haire and he began working over his former stablemate. Once Stamboli had the advantage, he became a little over confident as he began trying to humiliate O'Haire - rubbing his face into the canvas and receiving boos from the crowd. Stamboli argued with the fans from the ring as O'haire began to get to his feet...clearly becoming very angry about how Stamboli was trying to degrade him. Stamboli turned around right into a roundhouse kick from O'Haire! O'Haire used his anger to take control and would end up dropping Stamboli with a rolling Fireman's Carry before going up top and excuting the Seanton Bomb! O'Haire made the cover as Kimberly was in distress at ringside - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Sean O'Haire by pinfall
(74/76/71)

O'Haire celebrated his victory to some decent fanfare while Stamboli rolled out of the ring and received an earful from Kimberly as they headed up the aisle.

Not Worried
In the back, Michelle Gold had caught up with WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero along with his personal hired 'insurance policies' KroniK. Gold wanted Chavo's thoughts on the Cruiserweight Title match and how confident he was going to be without KroniK at ringside as his 'insurance policy.' Chavo said that he didn't become champion by chance or circumstance. He won the title because he KNOWS how to win. He's a champion in every sense of the word. He employed KroniK to help make sure he stayed champion, but when it came to Juventdud...he didn't need their help to win. Plus tonight, KroniK had other things to worry about than just someone as meaningless as Juventud - tonight, KroniK was going to earn their spot in the tag team title contendership match at Halloween Havoc. Because while they make an excellent insurance policy for his Cruiserweight Title...their number one skill, much like Chavo's - is winning, and they'll be doing that tonight!

Excuse Me...
A frustrated Johnny Stamboli and Kimberly Page were already heading for the exit as they walked through the parking garage to get to their car. However, when they got to Stamboli's Maserati, they found it was blocked in by a big Dodge Ram truck with a Tennessee license plate on the front. Trying not to loose her cool, Kimberly walked over to the truck where a pair of jeaned legs were sticking out from underneath the front of the truck.

'Excuse me,' Kim said - as 'politely' as she could. But when the person under the truck failed to respond she said 'Hey jerk, how about you move your ugly eye sore before The Bull has to kick your ass!'

That seemed to get the person's attention, as the person rolled out from underneath the truck to reveal...not a man as Kim and most of us would have expected, but instead it was a dark haired female with oil stains over her tattered t-shirt and blue jeans with her hair up in the ponytail. 'Scuse me' the woman said, 'Kick my ass, I don't think so."

A bewildered Kim back pedaled away from the woman in front of her as Stamboli approached. Kim asked who the Hell she thought she was...the woman introduced herself as Trinity. Stamboli introduced himself to her and said he wasn't one to beat up a lady, but if she didn't back off he would do so to protect his woman.

Trinity explained to Stamboli that SHE should be the least of his worries.

Both the driver's side door and the passenger side doors opened up as two 'hosses' stepped out from the truck. Trinity introduced the duo. Coming from the driver's side was Chris Harris and coming from the passenger side in a cowboy hat and holding a beer bottle was James Wolfe.

This quickly made Stambolio back down as he told Kim that they didn't have time for this. The the stormed off as Trinity, Harris, and Wolfe couldn't help but laugh.

Hot Commodity (w/Alicia Webb) vs. KroniK
Cassidy O'Reilly and Air Paris faced their biggest challenge to date as they had to go up against the two mountain of men - Bryan Clarke and Brian Adams of KroniK. But even against the tallest of odds, the youngsters were up for the challenge. After some speedy offense to start - Reilly and Paris' hopes began to fade away when Clarke overpowered Reilly and took firm control of the contest. Clark and Adams toyed with O'Reilly, dominating the offense and barely making any attempt of a pinfall. However, out of nowhere O'Reilly countered a powerbomb attempt by Adams into a tornado DDT! O'Reilly made the tag to Air Paris who springboarded into the ring and dropped a legdrop down across the back of Adam's neck as he was trying to get to his feet. Feeling the momentum, Paris ran over to the corner and grabbed Clark, dropping him throat first across the ropes with a jawbreaker! As Adams was stumbling to his feet, Paris caught him with a running enziguri! Amazingly, Paris seemed to have Adams against the ropes...but "Sing along with 3 Count" hit the PA System! While there was no 3 count to be seen, the distraction caused Paris to pause to look for them...allowing Adams to recover and take out Paris with a Big Boot! Adams tagged in Clarke. Adams tossed O'Reilly to ringside before the duo hit the HIGH TIMES to Paris! Clarke made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNERS - KroniK by pinfall
(70/60/80)

KroniK celebrated to boos from the crowd. They join Mexico's Most wanted in the fourway contendership match at Halloween Havoc!

Like anyone would pay for Vincent's autograph
We cut to a pre-recorded segment that shows former WCW 'star' Vincent signing autographes in a dimly lit audotorium. Sadly, there are only a few fans there looking for an autograph that you had to 'pay' to get. In walked Ted DiBiase. DiBiase walked up to the table and Vincent stood up to greet his former boss. They shook hands and Vincent seemed happy to se his former boss. They caught up on old times before DiBiase asked Vincent if he mind stepping outside to speak with him in private. Vincent seemed to find no reason not to...so they stepped out into the parking lot where things got serious. DiBiase asked Vincent if he remembered all those 'advances' that Vincent had askedf or but never paid back. Vincent apologized and said he still planned on paying him back - but times are tough. He pointed out he's having to sell his autograph just to make some money these days. DiBiase said Vincent has had years to pay him back...his time was up.

Chuck Palumbo appeared from seemingly out of nowhere to jump Vincent from behind! Palumbo slammed Vincent against the side of the building and then threw him head first into the door. Vincent slumped over to the ground where Palumbo began repeatedly kicking him in the midsection. Once DiBiase felt the damage had been done, he called Palumbo off and laid a business card down on Vincent's body. He said he would be expectying payment.

Opponent's Choice
Backstage, Hulk Hogan was standing by with Michelle Gold as he had an announcement he wished to make concerning the upcoming Tuesday Nitro. He explained that as we continue to draw closer to Halloween Havoc and the title match between Booker T and Sting, he wanted to spice things up a bit and make them interesting.

That's why on Nitro, he will let Sting and Booker T each choose the opponent and type of match for the other man at Nitro. So Sting would choose who Booker T fought and the type of match, and the same for Booker T choosing for Sting. He looked forward to seeing what each man chooked up for the other.

And speaking of things to look forward to, Hogan reminded us that next Saturday, WCW's new Show 'Running Wild' wild be debuting on Saturday night!

MAIN EVENT - WCW Cruiserweight Title Match
Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Juventud Guerrera

It took an act by Hogan, but Juvi finally got his rematch from Fall Brawl against Chavo for the Cruiserweight Title. And for the first time (at least in recent memory) - the WCW Cruiserweight Division really got to shine with a main event spot. Both men definitely deserved the chance to wrestle in the main event as they have both captured the crowd's attention with their series of matches over the past month or so. Both men received big reactions from the crowd as they came down to the ring, Chavo receiving quite the heel heat...over the recent months he has become one of the most hated men on the WCW roster. As usual, these two worked wonderfully together and did not disappoint the fans. They started the match out with the usual high paced offense that allowed Juvi to work his way into an early advantage. The two traded pinning combinations off of backslides, cradles, and roll ups - but at most only resulted in short two counts.

Juvi went on to pick up a couple more nearfalls off of a wheelbarrow facebuster and a diving hurricanrana - but Chavo still managed to kick out. Chavo hit a low blow to Juvi behind referee Charles Robinson's back to take control of the match. Chavo began to wear down Juvi with some restholds that only put more heat on Chavo from the crowd. Chavo picked up Juvi and laid him out with a brainbuster before climbing to the top turnbuckle...Chavo came off looking for the Frog Splash, but Juvi got his knees up! Both men were slow to recover and get back to their feet. Once up, Juvi sent Chavo into the ropes and took him to the mat with a dropkick. Juvi sent Chavo into the corner and then came flying in with a leaping spinning heel kick into the corner! Juvi was suddenly in control and looking like he was just one move away from winning the Cruiserweight title! In fact, he was about to do just that...he picked up Chavo for that one move...THE JUVI DRIVER! But Chavo fought it...he slid down Juvi's back and rolled up Juvi! Robinson was out of position as he made the count and did not notice Chavo clutching a handful of Juvi's tights while also using the ropes for leverage! One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Chavo Guerrero by pinfall
(90/81/100)

Chavo immediately rolled out of the ring as Juventud popped back up to his feet. Juvi argued with referee Charles Robinson over the use of the tights, but what was done was done - Chavo took his Cruiserweight Title and headed up the aisle, celebrating his victory while the crowd rained him with boos! Thunder came to a close as Chavo lifted the Cruiserweight Title high in the air on the stage.

WCW Tuesday Nitro
October 2, 2001
LIVE From the Firstar Center in Cincinnati, OH
Announcers: Mike Tenay & Glenn Gilberti

Tenay & Gilberti welcomed us to WCW Tuesday Nitro - where tonight Booker T and Sting would be choosing each other's opponents as well as type of match. Looming high above the ring as a steel cage which seemed to forecast what might be chosen by the two Halloween Havoc opponents.

"The Icon" Sting wasted no time coming to the ring to announce who was going to be Booker T's opponent for tonight. Sting came down to the ring to louds boos from the crowd. He climbed into the ring and took the microphone. He waited for the boos to subside so he could speak.

He said he loved being able to go down the WCW roster and deliberate about which person would be most likely to pick Booker T apart...and it was fun picturing it in his head. But before he got to the WHO of the matter...he first wanted to address the WHAT.

He pointed up to the steel cage hanging above the ring. He said it didn't take a rocket scientist for someone to realize there was going to be a cage match tonight. It was Sting in fact who called for the cage, as tonight - Booker T would be fighting inside the steel cage in his match! So with that out of the way, would would be his opponent? Sting seemed to be ready to announce The Wall as Booker T's opponent...but...

Lance Storm interrupted Sting's announcement as he made his way down to the ring and joined Sting. Storm wanted to be 'serious for a minute' - as he announced his desire to wrestle Booker T tonight inside the cage. Storm expressed his respect for Sting and promised that if given the opportunity, he would lock Booker T in the Canadian Mapleleaf and not let go until his leg snapped off. And you could take him to his word because he was from Calgary........Alberta, Canada - where their word is worth it's weight in gold.

Sting seemed hesitant, as he was pretty confident with the person he wanted to pick - HOWEVER, he has always been the kinda guy to play things on the fly...but he can tell by the look in Storm's eye that there was something else at play here.

Lance Storm told Sting he was good at that - he explained that if he wrestles Booker T tonight, he wants the WCW World Championship to be on the line!

Sting thought about it, and figured either way he gets a title shot at Halloween Havoc - so he had no problems making it a title match...on one condition...Lance Storm ALSO had to put his United States Title on the line!

Lance Storm corrected Sting, saying that its the Canadian Heavyweight Championship - and if it meant getting a title shot, he would do it!

"Can You Dig it?"

Booker T walked out from the back to a big pop from the Ohio crowd. Booker T had a microphone and stopped on the stage. He said he didn't realize Sting had the power to make title matches. Sting said Hogan said it could be ANY type of match...and a title match is also a TYPE of match!

Booker T said he wasn't worried though, he would follow through and face off against Lance Storm inside the cage tonight. But Booker wanted to go ahead and let Sting know what he would be up against tonight. Booker decided that if he's going to be taking on Lance Storm tonight, it would only be fair that Storm's opponent at Halloween Havoc be the one Sting goes up against...so tonight, Sting will take on Diamond Dallas Page in...a...FIRST BLOOD MATCH! Now can you dig THAT, SUCKA?!

Booker's music hit again as he exited - leaving us with two huge matches for tonight's Nitro. DDP vs. Sting in a First Blood Match and a Title vs. Title Cage match between Booker T and Lance Storm! Someone would be leaving tonight with TWO Championships!

The Tennessee Outlaws (w/Trinity) vs. The Jung Dragons (w/Leia Meow)
The southern rebel duo of "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Wolfe debuted alongside Trinity on Thunder last week in a segment with Johnny Stamboli and Kimberly. However tonight not only do they make their in-ring debut but this would also be a qualifying match for the four-way challenge at Halloween Havoc! Wolfe and Harris looked impressive in their debut, using their size, power, and hard hitting style to dominate the smaller cruiserweights of the Jung Dragons. Trinity would even get the chance to show off her moves when Leia Meow tried to interfere. Meow climbed into the ring as Kaz Hayashi distracted referee Billy Silverman. But Trinity slid into the ring and hit a spinning crescent kick to Meow! Meow rolled back to her feet but was taken down by a running hurricanrana from Trinity! Meow hit the mat and rolled out of the ring as Trinity exited! Wolfe and Harris finished up the work in the ring, knocking out Hayashi with a bearhug/running lariat combination before Storm put another bearhug on Yang as Harris climbed to the top turnbuckle. Storm lowered Yang's upperbody as Storm came of with a diving legdrop! Tenay called the move the Dead or Alive! Harris made the cover on Yang and picked up the three count!
WINNERS - The Tennessee Outlaws
(75/52/99)

Trinity celebrated in the ring with Wolfe and Harris, who were all business. Wolfe grabbed his beer off the apron and the trio headed to the back as they advance to Halloween Havoc in quite the impressive debut.

Looking for a Phreak
"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner made his way down to the ring to a decent face reaction from the crowd. Steiner climbed into the ring and took the microphone. He gave his thoughts on the upcoming Handicap match at Halloween Havoc against Jindrak & Stasiak of the Gentlemen's Club. He understood that by themselves they stood no match against Big Poppa Pump - so he could follow their logic of wanting to send two against him - because that's the only way they stand a chance. But Steiner said he didn't really care about Stasiak or Jindrak...but he did find a liking to Stacy Keibler. He told Keibler she should wise up because she'd make one damn fine 'phreak.' And it just so happened he was looking for a new number one phreak. So this goes to all his other phreaks out there...Big Poppa Pump is ya hook up - HOLLA if ya hear him!

"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Shawn Stasiak (w/Stacy Keibler)
Stacy Keibler did NOT seem interested in taking Steiner up on his offer as she stood at ringside during the match. Stasiak tried to match Steiner in a strength contest, but Steiner easily won that battle. It was mostly Steiner controlling the action, while he would take moments to glance over at Keibler and try to impress her. Steiner gave her a flex of his bicep and kissed it before dropping an elbow on Stasiak. A frustrated Keibler pounded the apron trying to get Stasiak back into the battle. Stasiak managed to find Steiner's eye with his thumb to slow Steiner down. Stasiak's control would only be momentary before he was caught by an Exploder Suplex from Steiner. As it looked like Steiner was about to put Stasiak away with the Steiner Recliner - Mark Jindrak rushed down to the ring. Almost expecting it, Steiner was ready for him and knocked Jindrak off the apron with a right hand before going back to Stasiak and locking in the Steiner Recliner! Before Stasiak could submit, Jindrak was back in the ring! Steiner dropped Stasiak and began brawling with Jindrak! Referee Mark Armstrong threw the match out as the two battled.
WINNER - "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner by disqualification
(76/81/65)

Steiner got the upperhand on Jindrak and let him out with a belly-to-belly suplex! Jindrak and Stasiak both rolled out of the ring and regrouped with Stacy Keibler up the aisle as Steiner stood tall in the ring. Steiner motioned to Keibler, pointing out how he had just one upped both Jindrak and Stasiak. Keibler still seemed completely uninterested.

First Blood Match
Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Icon" Sting

Page and Sting started the match out with a slugfest that would set the tone for things to come. Being the nature of a first blood match - there was very little wrestling involved as they both just kept pounding on one another trying to get the other to bleed. The match stayed in the ring only briefly before it spilled to the outside. Around ringside, Sting took control of Page...using whatever he could at ringside to his advantage. He wrapped camera cords around Page's throat and choked him violently - all which was legal within the rules of the match, so Nick Patrick could only watch as Sting tried to choke out Page. Sting used the camera cords to throw Page into the ring steps before slamming Page's head several times into the announce booth - but Page was still showing no signs of blood. Sting charged into Page, but Page moved and threw Sting right into the ring post! Page took control of the match as it was now his turn to try and weaken up Sting and get him to shed some blood. Page rolled Sting back into the ring and grabbed a chair, tossing it into the ring. Page slammed the chair across Sting's back before setting it up in the middle of the ring. Page whipped Sting into the ropes and gave him a drop toe hold onto the chair! Sting held his face in pain as Nick Patrick checked for blood - but there was none to be found.

Page grabbed Sting by his hair and began pulling him up - but Sting gave Page an uppercut to the groin! Page was doubled over in pain and Sting dropped him with the Scorpion Death Drop! A frustrated Sting rolled out of the ring and threw up the ring curtain where he would find a conveniantly placed lead pipe! Sting grabbed the lead pipe and rolled into the ring. Sting paced around Page as he began to struggle to get to his feet. Sting took a swing with the pipe...BUT DDP ducked! DDP gave Sting a boot to the midsection and went for the Diamond Cutter...but Sting shoved Page off into the ropes. Page came back and was hit with the lead pipe to the midsection! Page dropped to his knees as Sting then clobbered him right across the forehead with the pipe! Page dropped to the mat. Sting lifted Page's face off the mat to reveal a puddle of blood where Page's face had hit the mat! Nick Patrick called for the bell!
WINNER - "The Icon" Sting
(84/90/72)

Sting lifted up his lead pipe in celebration as a bloody Page was struggling to recover in the ring.

Rematch Made

Backstage in the luxury suite of The Gentlemen's Club - Ric Flair and Curt Hennig were enjoying watching Sting come out victorious in the First Blood match against DDP. But they themselves came up short last week as they lost the WCW World Tag Championship to The Outsiders. They discussed the loss and Flair pointed reminded Hennig that they have the power to decide matches for Halloween Havoc...so they don't need to do anything to get a rematch...except make the match themselves! Flair determined at Halloween Havoc, Flair & Hennig would look to get back the tag titles against The Outsiders in a rematch from last week's Nitro!

Sugar Shane Returns
Backstage, Scott Hudson had caught "Sugar" Shane Helms heading out of the lcoker room. Helms was officially back from injury after being assaulted by what now appears to have been Sting. Helms said he was just glad to be back in good enough condition to compete in the ring. He is wasting no time getting back in the ring because he has a match TONIGHT! But Helms said that he was looking forward to taking out any member of the Gentlemen's Club he could get his hands on for what they did to him. He'd like to face Sting himself and give him the VERTEBREAKER and maybe put him out of action just like he did to him!

"Sugar" Shane Helms vs. Buff Bagwell
Helms was looking to shake off some ringrust from his injury as he stepped into the ring against Buff Bagwell. Helms looked no worse for wear early, but Bagwell quickly slowed down Helms and made the match much more his own pace. Bagwell utilized a variety of restholds to keep Helms grounded and kept the match from ever getting too fast paced. Bagwell's size and strength advantage helped him out a lot in this match and allowed him dominate most of the offense. However, with the crowd behind him in his return - Helms fought back and surprised Bagwell with a shining wizard! Helms found his second wind and kept on the offense as he had a big wave of momentum that led him to hitting the Nightmare on Helms Street to Bagwell! Helms made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Shane Helms by pinfall
(72/76/66)

As Helms was having his arm raised in victory by Charles Robinson, Mike Sanders walked out onto the stage. He congratulated on Helms for his victory and on his return from injury. He explained that he was out there tonight with some good news and some bad news for Helms courtesy of "The Icon" Sting himself.

The bad news, Helms would NOT get his wish of facing off against a member of the Gentlemen's Club.

The good news, Helms would be receiving a title shot at Halloween Havoc!

The bad news, that title shot would be against...THE WALL!

Somehow, The Wall had managed to sneak in throught he crowd and was now standing directly behind Shane Helms! Sanders motioned behind Helms...Helms turned around and walked right into the CHOKESLAM from The Wall! Sanders wished Helms good luck, because he was definitely going to need it!

Rey Mysterio & Mexico's Most Wanted vs. Chavo Guerrero & KroniK
Big six man tag action this week as Rey Mysterio got his chance in the ring against the man he will challenge for the Cruiserweight Title at Halloween Havoc - Chavo Guerrero while KroniK and Mexico's Most Wanted are both confirmed members of the Four-Way Tag Challenge at Halloween Havoc as well. Chavo Guerrero was no fool, and he did not want to start the match off...so he defered to Bryan Clarke who started the match against Rey Mysterio. Mysterio had some limited success working over Clarke's knees before tagging in Juvi and the duo hit a double dropkick to Clarke's knees to take him down to the mat! But the advantage was short lived as Clarke and Adams soom had a firm control of the matchup just using their shear size and power. Chavo watched with delight as KroniK was taking care of business in the ring. As Psicosis was in the ring with Adams, Adams drove him into his knee with a hard backbreaker. Chavo then decided he was ready to enter the ring as he let Adams tag him in. Chavo immediately went for the pin - but Psicosis kicked out at two.

Chavo was able to easily control Psicosis after so much punishment had been dished out by KroniK. But eventually Psicosis battled back and took Chavo down with a rana! Psicosis made the hot tag to Rey who springboarded into the ring with a leg lariat! Rey had Chavo against the ropes, but when Rey hit the 6-1-9 to Chavo and went for the West Coast Pop - Clarke shoved Rey off the ropes and down to the mat! Chavo tagged in Clarke who immediately went to work on Rey. Juvi entered the ring to try and help Rey - but Admas cut him off with a Big Boot! Rey tried to battle back against Clarke - but the size and power he gave up was just too much. Adams joined Clarke to hit the HIGH TIMES to Rey Mysterio! Chavo then demanded to be tagged in, so Clarke gave him the tag. Chavo climbed the turnbuckle - FROG SPLASH to Rey! Adams and Clarke held off Juvi and Psicosis as referee Billy Silverman made the count - One, Two, Three!
WINNERS - Chavo Guerrero & KroniK by pinfall
(77/73/81)

Chavo celebrated his victory in grand fashion as he had successfully pinned his challenger at Halloween Havoc. Chavo asked to be lifted up on Bryan Clarke's shoulders, which Clark proceeded to do. Chavo held up the Cruiserweight Championship in celebration as he rested on Clarke's shoulders.

MAIN EVENT - Title vs. Title Cage Match
Booker T (c) vs. Lance Storm (c)

The cage lowered to the ring and we had ourselves a big main event. The only way to win the match was by escaping the cage! We had two officials at ringside as Charles Robinson manned the door and Nick Patrick was at ringside. Once Storm and Booker had both entered the cage, the door was shut and the match began. They immediately locked up and Storm used the opening moments of the match to display his mat skill as he chain wrestled with Booker which gave him the early advantage over Booker T. Storm's expert technical skill easily surpassed Booker's - and as long as Storm was keeping the control - Booker was unable to make Storm on the mat. As Storm began to weardown the World Champion, he turned away from the mat wrestling as he looked to try and dish out some punishment to Booker that would allow him to climb the cage. Storm attemtped to slam Booker's head into the side of the cage, but Booker blocked it and sent Storm into the cage as well. With both men now being on their feet and it turning into a brawl - this was more of Booker's game.

Booker took control of the offense and laid out Storm with a back suplex. Booker possibly thought he had done enough to wear down Storm and climb the cage - but he was mistaken. Storm stopped Booker with a lowblow, then tossed him off the cage to the mat! Storm did not attempt to climb the cage yet, and instead began focusing on Booker's leg. Booker fought his way back to his feet, but Storm took him back down with a superkick! Storm went to the ropes and began climbing the side of the cage. Booker rolled back to his feet and began climbing up the cage as well. He met Storm and they traded elbows until Storm hooked Booker and came off the side of the cage with a Russian Legsweep! Both men hit the canvas and were down!

Storm slowly got to his feet first and took the recovering Booker down with a leg lariat! Storm retook control of the match and began punishing Booker some more, grinding his face against the side of the cage. Storm then brought Booker to the center of the ring and hit a sitout powerbomb to Booker before rolling it into the Canadian Maple Leaf! Storm locked the hold in in the center of the cage...it may not have been an attempt to win the match since a submission would have been meaningless...but he could try to injure Booker's leg to keep him down while he climbed out of the cage. But the crowd was showing their LOUD support for Booker as he began to try and crawl his way towards the door! Charles Robinson opened the door as Booker was crawling towards it while still being trappded in the submission! As Booker almost had his head out the door, Storm realized what Booker was doing and pulled him back to the center of the ring and released the hold.

Storm headed for the wall and began climbing up the side of the cage. He was halfway up the side of the cage when Booker got back to his feet. Booker headed to the cage wall and began climbing up the side as well. Lance had reached the top of the cage and was no sitting on the top of the cage wall as Booker T reached up and grabbed him! Booker pulled Storm back down the side of the wall and the duo began battling back and forth while hanging onto the side of the cage! Booker had Storm losing his grip...Booker hooked Storm and came off the side of the cage with the BOOK END! Both men were down! After being down for a few moments, the crowd was coming alive and Booker came back to his feet with the spinaroonie! The crowd popped big for the spinaroonie, but Booker was slow as he got back to his feet. He staggered over to the cage wall and began to climb the side of the cage. As Booker reached the top, he slung his foot over the top of the cage and took a breather as Lance Storm began to crawl for the cage door! Charles Robinson opened up the door as Storm began to inch ever so close to the cage door. Booker began to ascend down the side of the cage, unaware of Storm's proximity to the cage door. Lance was pulling himself out the door of the cage as Robinson was watching closely. Storm fell out of the cage door and hit the floor...Charles Robinson and Nick Patrick were both calling for the bell!

But over by Nick Patrick, Booker T had also touched the floor with his feet as he had finished escaping the cage! Patrick was pointing to Booker T as the winner, but Robinson was declaring Lance Storm the winner! Robinson handed Lance Storm the title as Robinson and Nick Patrick began arguing. Storm took the World and LAID OUT Booker T with the belt! Storm took both the World Title and the United States title and headed up the aisle, not bothering to wait for a decision.
WINNER - ????
(85/90/74)

Lance Storm held up both the World Title and the United States Title on top of the stage as Tenay and Gilberti were clueless as to who the World Champion is! They told us to tune in to Thunder for more on the World Title situation...but for now, Lance Storm was apparently declaring himself champion as he ended the show celebrating with both titles!

WCW Thursday Thunder
October 4, 2001
From the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio
Announcers: Don Callis & Ernest 'The Cat' Miller

A recap from Nitro kicked off Thunder, focusing on the Title vs. Title Cage match that headlined the show. The ending was heavily featured as it appears both Lance Storm and Booker T exited the cage at the same time and both were declared winners by referees Nick Patrick and Charles Robinson.

To ringside, Don Callis and The Cat discussed Nitro and the big question marks that now surround the WCW World Title! Apparently the Board of Directors have been looking over the replays the past two days trying to get the best idea of what happened so they could officially declare a winner. Hulk Hogan was expected to be in the arena later tonight with a decision.

A loud beeping came over the PA system as a robotic voice issued a warning - "A severe STORM Warning has been issued for Dayton, Ohio"

Out came Lance Storm along with The Storm Foundation - Andrew Martin and Devon Storm. The trio headed to the ring as Storm had the WCW World Title around his waist and the 'Canadian Heavyweight' Title over his shoulder. They climbed into the ring as Lance Storm took the microphone. Storm wanted to be serious for a minute because he had finally realized his lifelong dream...to become the World Heavyweight Champion - overtaking America once and for all and making Canada the dominant superpower in the country!

He had done it! - Storm declared. He wanted to thank all his Canadian fans who followed him through his career up until this point. It has been a long journey, but he has reached the top. But now 'The Perfect Storm' had taken the top prize in WCW and the Storm Warning for WCW was in full effect. Storm said that he understood a lot of people didn't agree with how he won the title or were saying that Storm isn't really the champion, but for the people who are mad, he tells them not to blame Lance Storm and not to blame Canada...but to blame themselves! And that's from Calgary......Alberta, Cana...

"SELF HIGH FIVE!"

Out came Storm's previously scheduled opponent for Halloween Havoc - Diamond Dallas Page. Page walked his way down to the ring calmly before climbing into the ring. Page said he wasn't going to get into a dispute with Storm over whether or not he is the World Champ - because as far as he can tell, he has the belt right now and that's all that matters to him. So let's just say, hypothetically, that he IS indeed the reigning WCW World Champion. Page wanted to know what that meant for his title match at Halloween Havoc. Because, if Storm is indeed the champion, he's going to have to defend the World Title against Sting.

Storm said that being from Canada, he's a true competitor. He was not afraid of wrestling twice in one evening and defending BOTH titles on the same night!

Page said very well, but if he is a true competitor, how about defending the World Title...tonight, against Page! DDP said he would have no problem wrestling twice at Halloween Havoc either!

Storm, not one to back down from a challenge, said he would gladly defeat Page tonight for the WCW World Title and then the Canadian Heavyweight Title at Halloween Havoc!

So the match was set...tonight, Lance Storm would 'defend' the WCW World Title against Diamond Dallas Page...whether he's champion or not!

Dustin Rhodes & Hugh Morrus vs. The Storm Foundation (w/Lance Storm)
Storm stayed at ringside as the Storm Foundation were taking on Morrus and Rhodes in the final qualifying match for the tag team challenge at Halloween Havoc. With Storm coaching his team from ringside - they looked impressive in the ring against the Rhodes & Morrus team. Martin and Devon worked together to isolte Rhodes and keep Hugh Morrus out of the ring. Rhodes began to battle his way back into the match and made the tag to Morrus finally, and Morrus would come in with a fire that allowed him to stay on the offensive attack briefly. However, a conveniantly placed boot to the back from Martin on the apron slowed Morrus enough for Devon Storm to drop him with a calf kick. Storm tagged in Martin who dominated Morrus and put him down with the Pumphandle Slam! Martin made the cover on Morrus and got the three count!
WINNERS - The Storm Foundation by pinfall
(72/71/74)

Playing by Their Own Rules
Backstage, Michelle Gold was standing by with newcomers Trinity and The Tennessee Outlaws. Gold remarked on how impressive it was of the new team of 'Wildcat' Chris Harris and 'Cowboy' James Wolfe to come into WCW and already be in a match that would give them a shot at the WCW Tag Team Championships if they won. Trinity said that her boys are here to do just that - win. That's the way they do it in the South - they kick ass and they win. She explained that her boys don't like to be told what to do - and now that they're here in WCW - they'll be playing by their OWN rules. WCW better brace themselves for the new southern Outlaws...because she promised they would be tag champions in no time at all.

Rey Mysterio vs. Kaz Hayashi (w/Leia Meow)
After being on the losing end of a 6 man tag match involving his opponent at Halloween Havoc Chavo Guerrero, Rey was back in singles cruiserweight action this week as he looked for some momentum with his Cruiserweight Title match being just over a week away. Hayashi proved to be a tough challenge for Rey as he attempted to gear up for the title match, but not too much for Rey to overcome. Rey battled back agianst Kaz and sent him down across the middle ropes - allowing him to hit the 6-1-9 to Kaz! As Kaz stumbled to his feet, Rey put him away with the West Coast Pop for the three count!
WINNER - Rey Mysterio by pinfall
(76/67/86)

Rey Mysterio celebrated his victory in the ring as in the back Chavo Guerrero watched on the monitor and simply shook his head in disgust.

Teacher of Extreme
In the back, "Sugar" Shane Helms was with Michelle Gold. On Nitro we learned that Helms will be challenging The Wall for the WCW Extreme Championship at Halloween Havoc. Now, Helms had wanted to face off against ANY member of the Gentlemen's Club, but instead he was fed to The Wall. Coming off an injury, Gold wanted to know how risky it was to get into an Extreme Rules match? Helms said it has nothing to do with risk...every day he steps out of the bed he's taking a risk. It was taking risks that got him where he is right now. But when it comes right down to it, he's not afraid to admit that as far as the 'Extreme Style' goes - he lacks a lot of experience. He may have been a 'Hardcore Champion' with 3-count when they shared the belt, but they were certainly not extremists. But Helms doesn't go into any match unprepared. That's why he's found someone to help show him the ropes of Extreme wrestling and prepare him for The Wall. And that man was none other than Tommy Dreamer! If anyone could teach him the ways of Extreme, it was going to be Dreamer. And once he was done, he would be able to bring the NIGHTMARE to The Wall!

Extreme Rules Match
Shane Helms vs. Kash

So Shane Helms has been training with Tommy Dreamer in the ways of the Extreme wrestling? Well, he would get the chance to show test his feet in the water in the Extreme division tonight as he took on 'Extreme' cruiserweight, Kash. Kash is certainly not stranger to the style and would be a tough challenge for Helms. Kash was not intimidated by the former Cruiserweight Champion - as this was his world now. Kash welcomed Helms into the division the hardway, meeting Helms' head with a chair over and over again including a smashmouth toss of a chair right to Helms' face. But Helms wasn't going to be outdone. He reversed an Irish Whip by Kash and sent him into the ropes, dropping him down face first across the chair with a bulldog! Helms picked up the chair and began using it to his advantage, including wedging it between the turnbuckles and whipping Kash into the chair! Helms also used the chair as a springboard as he ran in for a shining wizard! Ultimately, Shane Helms would pick up the victory here as he utilized the staple of Dreamer's offense - the singapore cane - to wear down Kash and then placed the singapore cane across Kash's throat as he dropped him with the Nightmare on Helms Street! Helms hooked a leg - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Shane Helms by pinfall
(87/78/96)

You Call THAT a Test?
Shane Helms did not have long to celebrate his victory before Mike Sanders walked out from the back along with The Wall and Mike Awesome. Sanders had a microphone and he congratulated Helms on his victory - but he said if that was suppose to be a warmup for The Wall...well, that's just sad. First of all, Kash is at best half the size of the massive Wall. Kash is no challenge compared to The Wall. And Sanders had to say that Helms' choice of Extreme Coaches wasn't well thought out. If you're going to pick someone to coach you to beat The Wall, shouldn't you pick someone who actually CAN beat The Wall. But then again, he understands that such a person is hard to find.

Sanders laughed and said that if Helms wants a real challenge and a real test. He'll give him one. On Nitro this week, Shane Helms will step into the ring with Mike Awesome! And it will be under the Extreme Rules! Let's see how ready Shane Helms really is for Extreme competition!

Hot Commodity (w/Alicia Webb) vs. 3 Count (w/Shannon Moore)
This week it was Evan Karagias teaming up with the newest member of 3 Count - Joey Matthews, to take on their rivals of Air Paris and Cassidy O'Reilly. Both teams cost each other spots in the four-way challenge at Halloween Havoc, so now they got their chance to get at each other once again. 3 Count was looking to just get a victory over their rivals after they got the impressive decisive victory at Fall Brawl. It went back and forth for the majority of the match, but after Paris made the hot tag to O'Reilly - it looked like the youngsters would pick up another victory over 3 Count...but after hitting the Hot Shot to Joey Matthews - Evan Karagias tried to enter the ring - only to have referee Mark Armstrong cut him off. With the ref's back turned - Shannon Moore slid into the ring and gave O'Reilly a kick to the groin before hitting the Bottoms Up! Moore rolled out of the ring as Joey Matthews went for the pin...One, Two - Karagias cut off Paris - Three!
WINNERS - 3 Count by pinfall via interference
(66/54/79)

Karagias and Matthews quickly ducked to ringside to celebrate with Shannon Moore. They headed up the aisle victorious as Air Paris and Alicia Webb argued with Armstrong over the interference.

I.R.S gets Repoed?
We get another pre-recorded segment as Mike Rotunda was outside what was apparently his own personal home, washing his car when a black car pulled into the driveway. Out stepped Rotunda's former Money Inc. tag partner - Ted DiBiase. The duo met and shook hands, but Rotunda was no fool - he knew why DiBiase had come today. He said he had been waiting for this day because he knew it was only a matter of time before DiBiase showed up to collect on his debt. But Rotunda said he was very disappointed that he would come to him here, in his own home, and do it.

DiBiase explained that that he knew Rotunda was no fool and that that's why he had been so hard to track down. He really didn't want to do this in front of his home, but when he hides so well, he really left DiBiase with no choice. DiBiase revealed that he supported Rotunda a lot financially during their run as a tag team, and Rotunda had yet to pay him back. DiBiase said it was time for him to pay up...DiBiase said that his car should settle most of the payment. Rotunda said he couldn't because it was a birthday gift for his son. DiBiase said he has tired of excuses. Chuck Palumbo appeared from behind and attacked Rotunda! He slammed Rotunda's head against the side of the car and then laid him out in the drive way. DiBiase picked up the keys to the car from Rotunda's jacket as he actually got in the car while Palumbo got in the black car DiBiase drove up in. Both men drove off...

MAIN EVENT - "WCW World Heavyweight Championship" Match
Lance Storm "(c)" vs. Diamond Dallas Page

As the match got under way, Page seemed a lot more inspired in the ring than he has in the past few months, possibly since he's back in a major program. Page gave one of the better matches of his recent track record, although having a match with Lance Storm probably had something to do with it. Callis and The Cat were starting to wonder if we would ever hear from Hogan tonight as promised, because we were quickly running out of show to do that. In the ring, Page started out hot against the 'Canadian Heavyweight' and 'World Champion' - quickly getting the upperhand. Page worked Storm into the corner and drove him down into the corner with punches and stomps as the crowd loved every minute of seeing their 'People's Champ' bring the beating to Storm. Page continued on the offensive until he tried to lift up Storm into a fireman's carry - but Storm slid down Page's back and hit him with a back suplex. This opened up Storm's offense and allowed him to the take control of the match. Storm worked over Page's lower back for a good portion of the match and eventually locked in the Canadian Maple Leaf to Page! Referee Charles Robinson checked in on Page, but Page was not giving up. He fought his way to the ropes and broke up the hold.

Storm released the hold after the five count and went right back on the offensive. With the crowd driving him back into the match, Page worked his way back to his feet and took Storm to the mat with a discuss clothesline. Page slowly pulled himself up and hit the recovering Storm with an atomic drop before taking him down with a tiltawhirl slam! Page was back in the driver's seat and signaling for the Diamond Cutter! As Storm got to his feet, Page went for it - but Storm shoved him off into the ropes! Page came back at Storm off the ropes, but Storm slid between his legs and rolled him back up into the Canadina Maple Leaf! Robinson was there again to check on Page - would he submit?? It took Page a little longer this time, but he managed to fight his way to the ropes! Storm, showing no frustration, went right back on the attack. After some more offense from Storm, he waited as Page began to pull himself to his feet. Storm measured up DDP and went for the superkick, but Page grabbed Storm's leg! DDP shook his head as if to say "I Don't think so!" before spinning Storm 360 by the leg and as he came back to face Page...DIAMOND CUTTER! The crowd popped loud for Page's Diamond Cutter as he crawled over and made the pin...One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Diamond Dallas Page by pinfall
(82/82/83)

Charles Robinson handed DDP the WCW World Title! Page climbed the ropes and held the title up in the air to a standing ovation from the crowd.

However, the celebration would be short lived as "American Made" hit the PA System. Chairman of the Board Hulk Hogan made his way down to the ring as a dejected Lance Storm stood at ringside. Hogan climbed into the ring and took the microphone.

He said he hated to come out and rain on Page's parade, brother - but he's afraid he's going to have to take that title from Page. After extensive research and watching the tape for hours on end...the ending to the World Title match on Nitro is...inconclusive. Hogan explained there just wasn't a good angle that showed both men at the same time to tell who touched first. So, that being said...the Board had decided to rule the match a DRAW and Booker T would remain WCW World Champion and Lance Storm would remain the United States Champion.

Page looked down at the World Title and reluctantly handed it over to Hogan. But Hogan said he wasn't done with announcements yet. After watching the match on Nitro and the match tonight - they had made another decision. While Booker T will still defend the WCW World Title against Sting at Halloween Havoc per the rules of War Games...there's still going to be another World Title match at WCW's next Pay-Per-View after Halloween Havoc - World War III!

So that's why they have decided that the not only will the winner of Page/Storm at Halloween Havoc be the United States Champion, but they will also be the number one contender to the WCW World Championship and will receive that title shot at World War III!

With that announcement, Page seemed satisfied - but at ringside, Lance Storm was less than thrilled about his match with Booker being determined a draw. But one has to assume he can take satisfaction in knowing he didn't lose the belt just after winning it. And he still had another chance to win a title shot against Page at Halloween Havoc! Callis and The Cat hyped up the announcement as the show came to a close.

WCW Running Wild
October 6, 2001
From the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio
Announcers: Scott Hudson & Michelle Gold

Scott Hudson & Michelle Gold welcome us to the first ever episode of WCW Running Wild! They tell us we have three action packed matches tonight while also taking a look back at the past week in WCW. But first, we headed back to the ring for the opening match.

Billy Kidman (w/Torrie) over "Primetime" Elix Skipper
What better way to kick off a new WCW program with some cruiserweight action. Skipper and Kidman worked well together, going back in forth in this fast paced match. In the end, Skipper went for the Play of the Day, but Kidman countered and ended up laying out Skipper with the Kid Krusher to pick up thre three count victory.

Who is the WCW World Champion?
Hudson and Gold sent us to a video package that highlighted the events from Nitro. Booker T and "The Icon" Sting had the opportunity to pick opponents for each other and the type of match as they each prepared for their big Halloween Havoc World Title match. Sting placed Booker T in a Title vs. Title Cage match with 'Canadian Heavyweight' Champion Lance Storm, in a match requested by Storm himself - while Booker put Sting in a First Blood match against Storm's Halloween Havoc opponent - Diamond Dallas Page. A recap showed Sting busting DDP open with the lead pipe to win the First Blood match, while in the cage match...plenty of controversy surrounded the finish as it looked like Lance Storm had escaped through the cage door but at the same time it appeared Booker T had escaped. When Nitro ended, Lance Storm had declared himself the winner and left with both titles. But was he truly the new WCW World Champion? Stick around for the highlights from Thunder...

-----

Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli (w/Kimberly) over Jerry Lynn
Lynn and Stamboli worked well together in this short, but effective matchup. The match was mostly controled by Stamboli, with Lynn getting in enough offense to make The Bull earn the victory. In the end, Stamboli finished off Lynn with the Fuh-Get-A-Bout-It to pick up the clean 3 count victory.

An Extreme Homecoming
Hudson and Gold discussed the attack to Shane Helms that took him out of action and caused him to miss out on the big War Games match at Fall Brawl. "The Icon" Sting was revealed to be the attacker...so when Helms came back, he was looking for some vengeance against The Gentlemen's Club...but he found something else...

A video package from Nitro showed Helms returning to defeat Buff Bagwell, only to have Mike Sanders show up and announce that Helms would not actually get to face off agaisnt anyone from the Gentlemen's Club at Halloween Havoc - instead he would actually be receiving an Extreme Championship Match agaisnt The Wall. Sander's mosnter Wall then surprised Helms from behind with a Chokeslam. Not quite the homecoming Helms was hoping for. But on Thunder, Helms revealed he had enlisted Extreme veteran Tommy Dreamer to help him prepare for the match at Halloween Havoc. After defeating Kash in an Extreme Rules match, Mike Sanders once again showed up and told Helms that a match against Kash would not properly prepare him for The Wall. So Sanders set up a real test for Helms for this week's Nitro where Helms will meet the other half of the Towers of Terror and former Extreme Champion - Mike Awesome - in an Extreme Rules match!

(79%)

-----

Curt Hennig (w/Stacy Keibler) over Chris Kanyon
In Running Wild's 'Main Event' - Curt Hennig of the Gentlemen's Club took on Chris Kanyon in a very decent match. Kanyon managed to wear down Hennig a good bit during the match, but soon Hennig took a firm control of the match. Kanyon proved to be a tough opponent for Hennig, as he kept managing to kick out of several pinfall attempts by Hennig. However, in the end a distraction from Keibler allowed Hennig to score with the HennigPlex to pick up the victory!

The Board Reaches a Verdict
To cap off the show, we got the second half of the controversial World Title situation. We fast forward to Thunder where Lance Storm and The Storm Foundation came out with the WCW World Title, declaring Lance Storm the WCW Champion. Diamond Dallas Page came out and decided that IF Storm was the champion, he wanted a title shot. Storm allowed it, so in the main even Storm and Page met up that saw Page counter Storm's superkick into the Diamond Cutter and Page picked up the win. Just when it looked like DDP had become a Four-Time WCW Champion, Hulk Hogan interrupted his celebration. Hogan revealed that the Board of Directors had spent numberous hours studying the tape - but their results were inconclusive. This meant that the titles would stay put on the original champions - but Hogan had one more bombshell to drop as he announced the winner of Page vs. Storm at Halloween Havoc would not only be the US Champion but also be in line for a title shot at WCW's next Pay-Per-View - World War III!

(89%)

Hudson and Gold hyped up this week's Nitro as it is the last week before Halloween Havoc and the fallout from the World Title controversy should be strong. And be sure to tune in next week for Running Wild as they preview Halloween Havoc!

WCW News & Notes

-WCW's debut of Running Wild earned a 1.65 rating, which was better than the rating for WWF's Sunday Night Heat which was 1.45. While they are not going head to head...WCW is still promoting it as a big win for their company.

-It looks like Scott Hall's personal problems may be rearing their heads again. Word from the back says he definitely has not kicked his addictive habits and now apparently no showed an autograph appearance that was suppose to be hyping Halloween Havoc. No action has been taken as of yet against Hall, but one has to assume he's running out of chances with the company.

-This week on Nitro: Booker T, Sting, Lance Storm, and Diamond Dallas Page will all be on hand as we are still reeling from Hogan's announcement at the end of Thunder. We will also see Shane Helms in Extreme action against the other half of the Towers of Terror - Mike Awesome.

WCW Tuesday Nitro
October 9, 2001
LIVE from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia
Announcers: Mike Tenay & Glenn Gilberti

A recap of Nitro and Thunder from last week focused on the Title vs. Title Booker T/Storm cage match that ended with controversy. The clip ended with Hogan's announcement from Thunder which saw the World Title restored back to Booker T.

Tenay and Gilberti welcomed us to the show, and continued to talk about the aftermath of the announcement by Hogan on Thunder. Not to mention we are now less than a week away from Halloween Havoc where Booker T will have to turn around and defend the title against 'The Icon' Sting - and to stack things more in the Gentlemen's Club's favor - Ric Flair was going to be the special guest referee!

"CAN YOU DIG IT?"

Booker T made his way down to the ring - back in the possession of the WCW World Championship. Booker climbed into the ring and took the microphone. Booker talked about the cage match last week and how the whole world was talking about whether or not Booker lost the title. Well, as we can all see - the title still is where it belongs. But that's not to say he was a little worried...but cooler heads prevailed, and Booker was happy to still have the title.

Booker's promo was interrupted by a loud, annoying beeping before the message "A Severe Storm Warning Has Been Issued for Richmond, Virginia!"

'Canadian Heavyweight Champion' Lance Storm made his way down to the ring to loud boos from the crowd. Storm entered the ring and confronted the champion. Storm wanted to be serious for a minute, but he thought it was really unfair that he was having to EARN a title shot againt Booker T at Halloween Havoc, when Booker T never actually defeated Storm. Booker T said he could understand Storm's frustration - but he doesn't make the rules. Plus, Storm did turn around and lose to Diamond Dallas Page on Thunder. Booker T said it sounded pretty fair to him.

Storm said he didn't care what Booker thought was fair - he felt like Hulk Hogan - the man who is so proud to be an American, is discriminating against him because of who he is...A CANADIAN. Booker T laughed it off and Storm got offended. He said he wouldn't expect Booker to understand, he wouldn't know what it's like to be a minority in this country and discriminated against.

Booker gave Lance a "Tell me you didn't just say that" - but Lance continued to talk about how the lack of respect he gets around here. But he said that he and his Storm Foundation were going to change that.

"The Icon" Sting joined the party - coming down to the ring and taking the microphone. Sting said he, for one, was very impressed with the way Storm handled himself in the ring. He had to admit, he had his doubts last week when Storm came out there and demanded the spot. It took a lot of gumption to that - and Sting likes that. Sting then pointed to Booker's title and said that after he beats Booker at Halloween Havoc - he would be honored to have Lance Storm as his opponent. Booker told Sting to slow his roll because that wasn't going to happen - and he didn't care WHO his opponent was!

Lance Storm said he liked the idea of having a Sting/Storm main event...he said that wrestling the main event against Sting was always a dream of his. Sting suggested they help make that dream come true...as he attacked Booker from behind! Storm took the hint and joined in on the attack! Storm and Sting stomped away on the champ until Diamond Dallas Page ran down from the back to make the save! DDP chased off Storm and Sting and checked on Booker. Page took the microphone as Booker got back to his feet. Page said that if those two wanted to team up...well, he and Booker could team up as well! Later tonight, Page proposed a tag team match between the two teams! Looks like we have ourselves a main event!

Mexico's Most Wanted vs. The Storm Foundation
Ah, the ole Mexico vs. Canada rivalry....anyway, this was a bit of a preview for the upcoming Four Way Tag Match at Halloween Havoc that will give us some new contenders for the WCW Tag Championships. We have here one half of the match as Juvi and Psicosis took on Andrew Martin and Devon Storm of the Storm Foundation. Juvi and PSicosis showed excellent teamwork early that allowed them to stay on top of Devon Storm. However, once Storm managed to tag in Martin - Martin was able to use his size and power to overcome Juvi and Psicosis. Once Martin had taken a good control of the match, he brought Storm back in to do some more damage to Psicosis. Storm and Martin worked over Psicosis until Psicosis reversed an Irish Whip from Devon Storm and then hit him with a running spinning heel kick. Psicosis rolled to the corner and tagged in Juventud who came in with a flurry of fast paced attack that had both Martin and Storm reeling. However, when Juvi went for the JuviDriver to Storm, Martin attacked Juvi from behind! Martin laid out Juvi with the Big Boot! Psicosis ran in at Martin, but Martin hit a powerslam to Psicosis! Devon Storm finished Psicosis off with the Storm Warning for the three count!
WINNERS - The Storm Foundation by pinfall

The Return of 3 Count's Biggest Fan
Backstage, Scott Hudson was standing by with Alicia Webb and Hot Commodity who suffered a defeat at the hands of 3 Count on Thunder. Alicia Webb commented that the only reason they lost was because of the numbers game. She should've known that when O'Reilly brought them together - they were going to need a third man to even the numbers. Well, they didn't have to look too far. Alicia explained she had a big surprise for Evan Karagias and who his opponent will be tonight AND not just that because at Halloween Havoc, he will be their tag team partner in a six man match with 3 Count.

Joining the shot now was none other than Tank Abbott! Abbott still was holding grudge, much like O'Reilly himself, over 3 Count not letting him in the group! Abbott was returning to WCW action, NEXT!

(80%)

-----

Tank Abbott (w/Hot Commodity) vs. Evan Karagias (w/3 Count)
Suddenly 3 Count might be rethinking their decision oh so long ago to not let Tank Abbott in the group, because now Evan Karagias found himself staring into a vengeful beast. As the bell rang, Karagias tried to go toe-to-toe with Abbott...but it was no use. Moore and Matthews tried to get involved, but Abbott held them off and then Air Paris and Cassidy O'Reilly took care of them at ringside as the four brawled, allowing Abbott to focus all his attention on Karagias. Abbott literally KO'ed Karagias with his knockout punch and made the nonchalant cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Tank Abbott by pinfall
(58/59/59)

Air Paris, Cassidy O'Reilly, and Alicia Webb joined Abbott in the ring as they lifted up his arm in victory. Abbott seemed delighted to be accepted with them and seemed to enjoy knocking out Karagias. Moore and Helms pulled Karagias from the ring and helped carry his lifeless body to the back.

No More Help
Backstage, WCW Cruiserweight Chavo Guerrero had found Ric Flair and wanted to know if he had any more tricks up his sleeve to help weaken Rey Mysterio for Halloween Havoc. He said he appreciated the use of The Wall and all...but he was watching Thunder and Rey Mysterio is just fine as he picked up an impressive win! Flair thought about it for a second and said he had a GREAT idea...however Hulk Hogan walked into the room and said that he didn't think so. He was sick of Chavo trying to weaken up his opponents week in and week out to make his life easier. Hogan said that this isn't the Gentlemen's Club show - and that he was making the matches around here. So it was time for Chavo to get a taste of his own medicine. Hogan told Chavo to go ahead and head out to the ring - becuase his match was up next and it was against "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner! Chavo was definitely NOT thrilled about this announcement.

(92%)

-----

"Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/KroniK)
Guerrero seemed more at ease as he brought out KroniK with him, but Steiner could care less. He shrugged off Chavo's early offense and pounded the Cruiserweight Champ to the mat. Steiner dominated Chavo for a good portion of the match until Brian Adams provided a distraction to referee Mark Armstrong that allowed Chavo to hit a low blow to Steiner! Chavo then took Steiner to the mat with a DDT! Chavo worked over Steiner, locking him in an STF...but Steiner muslced his way to the ropes to break up the hold. Steiner fought his way back into the match and laid out Chavo with an Exploder Suplex! Steiner was going for the Steiner Recliner - but her came KroniK. However, KroniK's interference was put on hold by "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Wolfe as they pulled 1/3 of their Halloween Havoc opponent's out of the ring and began to brawl with them up the aisle. With KroniK and the Tennessee Outlaws going out at, Steiner locked in the Steiner Recliner to Chavo! Chavo quickly gave in to the submission!
WINNER - Scott Steiner by submission
(82/87/72)

Old and Boring
The 'Wolfpac' theme brought out the WCW Tag Team Champions The Outsiders to a decent reaction from the crowd. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash slowly made their way down to the ring with the tag belts in hand. Once in the ring, Hall took the microphone and did his usual "HEY YO" and then took a poll of the crowd to find out that most people did not in fact come to see Ric Flair and Curt Hennig, but instead came to see The Outsiders. One more for the good guys!

Nash took the microphone next, and they discussed their opponents at Halloween Havoc as they had to defend the titles against Flair and Hennig in a rematch. Nash said that he didn't really know if they should be getting a tag title shot...they don't even have a tag team name! Hall suggested that perhaps they should come up with a name for them - do them that favor. Nash thought that this was an 'excellent' idea. So he wanted to think about what they knew about Flair and Hennig. Well, if there's one thing we know about Flair...he's old. And Nash means really old. Like Flair is so old that the caveman called him grandpa.

Hall said, okay we get it - he's old. But what about Hennig. Well, Nash said that Hennig 'used' to be Perfect...but now he's...eh, above average at best. Above Average? Isn't that Mike Sanders' gimmick, Hall asked. Nash said who? Hall reminded Nash that Sanders was a member of the Natural Born Thrillers. Nash was still a little fuzzy. Hall said that he mentored them...Nash said OOOHHH YEAH, those guys. Okay, so that won't work either. Hall said that in all honesty, he found Hennig pretty boring. Nash said he had it...at Halloween Havoc, The Outsiders would be defending their WCW Tag Team Titles against...OLD AND BORING!

Old and Boring themselves, Ric Flair and Curt Hennig, apparently did not take too kindly to the words as they stormed the ring in a fury. Flair and Hennig went straight for Hall and Nash and we had ourselves a little brawl that was quickly broken up by WCW officials! They were held apart for now, but they wouldn't be held back at Halloween Havoc.

Training Day
A pre-recored vignette aired that showcased "Sugar" Shane Helms being trained in the art of 'Extreme' by Tommy Dreamer. The video mostly consisted of Dreamer showing how crazy he is - throwing himself on thumbtacks and beating himself with a singapore cane. He then tried to teach Helms first how to deliver a chairshot...and then how to take a chairshot. Then the video consisted of them trading chairshots to one another until they both fell to the mat...interesting training technique...let's see how it paid off as Helms steps into the ring with Mike Awesome!

(84%)

-----

Extreme Rules Match
Shane Helms vs. Mike Awesome (w/Mike Sanders)

Helms attempt to showcase his training early seemed to falture as Mike Awesome took control of the match pretty quickly. Helms' speed and agility was no match to Awesome's power and agility. Sanders encouraged Awesome from ringside - providing him with chairs and tables. Awesome set up a table in the ring before continuing the attack on Helms. However Helms perhaps may have learned the never say die attitude from Dreamer, as Awesome was having difficulty putting Helms away no matter how much punishmet and chairshots he gave to him. Helms staggered to his feet and ducked a swing of the chair from Awesome and then gave Awesome a kick between the legs! Helms picked up the chair and smashed it across Awesome's back! Helms then set the chair up and springboarded off of it to hit the Shining Wizard to Awesome! Helms continued on his comeback, including bringing out the singapore cane which he worked over Awesome's legs with to chop the bigman down before taking him down with a russian legsweep that was assisted by the cane! As it looked like Helms may actually pull off the upset over Awesome...The Wall came down to the ring and attacked Helms from behind. Wall dropped Helms to the mat with a big headbutt. Tenay reminded us that unfortunately this was ALL legal as The Wall picked up Helms and chokeslammed him through the table! Wall climbed back out of the ring as Mike Awesome got to his feet. Awesome picked up Helms and hit him with the Running Awesome Bomb! He pulled Helms back to the middle of the ring and made the cover - One, Two, Three!
WINNER - Mike Awesome by interference
(78/71/86)

Mike Sanders attempted to send another table into the ring to continue dishing out the punishment to Helms - but Tommy Dreamer ran down to the ring with a barbedwire 2x4 which was good enough to get The Wall and Mike Awesome to exit the ring! Dreamer checked on Helms as Sanders lifted Mike Awesome's arm in victory.

Holla if you Hear Her
Backstage, Scott Hudson was standing by with Stacy Keibler and Jindrak & Stasiak to get their thoughts on Halloween Havoc where her Gentlemen's Club duo will take on Scott Steiner in a handicap match. She explained that Jindrak and Stasiak couldn't wait to give Steiner the beating he deserves. She said she disgusted by the 'advances' he made on her last week - and he's lucky she hasn't filed sexual harrassment charges agaisnt him. The only reason she hasn't was so that Jindrak and Stasiak would be able to just take it on him themselves. She explained she was going to look forward to watching him crying out in pain as the Gentlemen's Club destroyed him in the ring...and she'll be there to blow him a kiss after he suffers the agony of defeat. So Steiner, holla if you hear HER.

MAIN EVENT
Booker T & Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Icon" Sting & Lance Storm

In the much anticipated main event, we had ourselves a barn burner of a tag team match. DDP and Sting started the match out with a lock up which saw both men trade headlocks back and forth. Sting grabbed a handful of Page's hair to slow him down and allowed the heels to get a brief control as they traded tags back and forth. However Page would fight back against Storm, and hit him with an atomic drop before droping him with a dropkick. Page brought in Booker T who immediatelly entered the ring and lit up Storm's chest with a series of backhand chops. Storm was reeling on defense as Booker unleashed a barrage of offense that sent Storm falling back into Sting who tagged himself in. Sting entered and Booker and the Icon went back and forth with punches until Sting caught Booker with a kneelift. Sting slowed down the World Champion and suddenly the heels were in complete control over Booker T. Storm and Sting took turns being the legal man and applying more punishment to the champion.

As the crowd rallied behind Booker, he was able to fight his way back against Storm and caught Storm with a calf kick! Booker then hit the Harlem Side Kick to Storm and both men hit the mat. Booker made the crawl over to Page and got the tag! Page came in with right hands to Storm and then to Sting as well! Off the ropes, Storm ran into a tiltawhirl slam from Page, but Sting attacked the rallying Page from behind! This brought Booker back in as well and all four men were going at it! Off the ropes, Storm slid between Page's legs and rolled him up into the Canadian Maple Leaf as Sting hit a spinebuster to Booker T and turned him over into the Scorpion Death Lock! The crowd came alive trying to rally both of their fan favorites to escape the submissions as Nick Patrick went back and forth between both. Page and Booker both powered their way to the ropes and grabbed on to break both submissions!

Sting and Storm both pulled up Booker T and sent him into the corner. Sting ran in and went for the Stinger Splash, but Booker T moved! Sting hit the turnbuckle had and stumbled out into a DIAMOND CUTTER from DDP! Booker then hit Storm with a boot to the midsection and hit the Scissors Kick! Booker T spinaroonied to his feet to a pop from the crowd. Booker and Page waited as Storm stumbled to his feet...DIAMOND CUTTER to Storm while Sting stumbled to his feet and walked into the BOOK END from Booker! Page made the cover on Storm - One, Two, Three!
WINNERS - Booker T & Diamond Dallas Page
(84/88/78)

The crowd got to their feet as DDP and Booker T celebrated together in the ring as the show came to a close.
