In-Season Update Justin Ramses: Washington Re-Signs Ramses to Extension: Reports began circulating several days ago that Justin Ramses would re-sign with the Nationals, but didn't materialize until today when the club officially confirmed BNN's reports. Details were sketchy, though Washington did say Ramses would be with the club 4 years beyond his current deal. In 19 starts this season, Ramses has picked up 11 wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 136.1 innings, allowed 115 hits, struck out 143 and posted a 2.18 ERA. 07/18/2018 Signed a 4-year contract extension worth a total of $64,000,000 with the Washington Nationals organization. |

In-Season Update Tyler Millhone: 08/06/2018 Star 2B Millhone Considers Extension: When a top-notch player like Tyler Millhone and his club weigh a contract extension, the rumor mill starts churning out some pretty wild stories. Earlier today the representatives for both camps were spotted leaving Atlanta headquarters in the city's downtown district, though neither was willing to elaborate on the nature of their discussions. Millhone on the season is batting .328 with 20 home runs. His totals include 57 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He has played in 106 games. 08/10/2018 Tyler Millhone Signs Extension with Atlanta: Atlanta fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Tyler Millhone won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 6-year extension at a pay rate of $18,400,000 per annum. Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Atlanta officials had to keep Millhone from jumping ship. For the season Millhone has produced 134 hits in 413 at-bats for a .324 average with 20 home runs and gotten on base at a .384 clip. |

Player News Update: Chris Ticon Colorado's Ticon Triple Crown Winner: Chris Ticon is sitting on top of the world tonight. He got himself a Triple Crown this year -- the 1st player in MLB history to ever accomplish this feat. The Colorado Rockies third baseman outpaced the rest of the National League offensively this year. Ticon, age 26, hit .336, collected 54 home runs and chipped in 152 RBIs for the Rockies. He led in all three categories to capture the Triple Crown, one of the rarer feats in baseball. "It's all about hard work," noted one club official, "Chris arrives early, takes extra BP and really make a science of hitting. He religiously studies the pitchers. Keeps a journal on all of 'em. He's very thorough." |
