Devonta Duncan Career Update 07/09/2023 Duncan Reaches 2000: What a day for Devonta Duncan. The 32-year-old Seattle second baseman reached the 2000-hit mark today and the Mariners whipped the San Diego Padres 7-6. Duncan told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 2 for 3 in the game to reach the milestone. In 1694 career games Duncan has hit .296 with 2001 hits, 229 home runs, 1051 RBIs and scored 1051 runs. |

Justin Howe Career Update: 09/22/2023 Oakland Defeats Texas 5-4, Howe Nabs 400th Save: "I tried to approach this game like it was just another day, but when I walked out there on the mound, it was different." It certainly was different. The Oakland star reliever Justin Howe was about to try for his milestone 400-th career save and put his name in the record book. "I'm supposed to have ice water in my veins, but not today. It felt like my first day on the mound in my rookie season." But as he has endless times before, Howe rose to the occasion and disposed of the Texas Rangers and saved the Athletics 5-4 victory for his historic 400-th save, allowing no runs and no hits in 1 innings of work. Since coming into the league Howe has piled up a 2.59 ERA with 400 saves. In 777 games, he has a 57-58 won-lost mark and has fanned 967 batters in 833 innings. |
