Christian Benjamins Offseason 03/28/2027 Chicago Fired up over Signing of LF Benjamin: Sportswriters, fans and team officials watched today as 36-year-old left fielder Christian Benjamin committed to a $10,790,000, 1-year deal with the Chicago organization. Some openly worry that despite his talent, Benjamin is too old to get it done anymore and that his value to the club will sharply diminish before the 1-year agreement has run its course. As far as career numbers Benjamin has compiled a .310 batting average and collected 2853 hits, 549 home runs and 1691 RBIs. |

Donovan Daniels Career Update: 04/27/2027 Daniels Joins Kings of Clout with #500: The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Donovan Daniels was delighted, too: The 36-year-old Astros left fielder was making history with his 500th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Daniels stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call. "Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 500 in a 4-1 victory over Pittsburgh. Daniels went 2-4 in the game, had 2 runs batted in, and scored 2 runs. Over his 2367-game career Daniels has compiled a .306 batting average and collected 2883 hits, 501 home runs and 1642 RBIs. |

Donald Doccers Contract Update 05/03/2027 Doccers Signs for 2 years: Donald Doccers inked a deal that will keep the seasoned veteran on the Red Sox roster another 2 years. Earlier today team personnel announced that the 36-year-old had settled on a $18,000,000-a-year deal to play at Fenway Park. It's no secret Doccers is getting older, but he could still contribute a lot to the franchise. In his season totals Doccers has 8 home runs and a .302 batting average. |

Peter Blake Career Update 05/21/2027 Blake Belts Number 500: Cleveland defeated Chicago today 7-4 and took some of the joy out of Peter Blake's 500th career home run. "I just wanted to get a good swing on the ball all day," Blake said. "And I did." Despite the loss, it was a good game for the 35-year-old Cubs first baseman. He had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBI. The Indians manager said, "You could see he was aggressive up there. The worst thing we did was throw him a strike. It probably would have been better if threw the ball outside of the strike zone every time he came to the plate because he seemed like he was in a hurry to get it over with." Blake has a career .288 average with 2768 hits, including 637 doubles, 33 triples and 500 homers, collected 1645 RBIs, scored 1537 runs and compiled a .385 OBP. |

Donald Doccers Career Update 08/03/2027 Doccers Tags Number 600: At Fenway Park Donald Doccers smashed his 600th career home run in a game against Chicago today. The 36-year-old first baseman had a hand in the Boston Red Sox 6-3 victory with 1 home run and 1 run batted in. For the day he went 1 hit-3 at-bats. At the press conference after the game, Doccers downplayed his achievement. "Obviously, I've hit 600 home runs so I belong in that 600 club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there." Doccers has a lifetime .292 average with 2827 hits, 478 doubles, 31 triples, 600 home runs and 1941 RBIs to date. |
