Peter Blake Career Update 07/22/2028 3000th Hit for Blake: The Chicago contest with San Antonio featured a real shining moment: Peter Blake, the Cubs first baseman, collected career base hit #3000. That his team lost the game, 8-4, took away only a little bit of the luster. Fittingly, the 37-year-old Blake, who went 3-for-4, received a warm ovation from the Stampede Field crowd. In his career Blake has hit for a .289 average and totaled 3000 hits, 543 home runs and 1796 RBIs. |

Donald Doccers Career Update 07/27/2028 3000 Hits for Doccers: Boston's Donald Doccers got the standing ovation -- but the Seattle Mariners got the win. It was a special day for him at Fenway Park. A day when Doccers notched hit #3000 of his career. The fans went wild when he did. Even the Mariners fans applauded. The Red Sox right fielder went 2-5 in a losing cause as Seattle spoiled the party with the 6-5 victory. In the postgame interview, a downhearted Doccers told the media, "We lost -- It's not about individual accomplishments -- we lost." When pressed further, he admitted his pride in reaching the 3000-hit mark, "A lot of great players never get there. I'm proud, but I would be happier if we had won." Lifetime Doccers has compiled a .293 batting average and collected 3001 hits, 625 home runs and 2033 RBIs. |

Christian Benjamin Career Update 08/22/2028 Homer #600 for New York's Benjamin: Swinging his way into the record books, Christian Benjamin reached the 600 homer mark today at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies. He went 1-5 with 3 runs batted in and 1 run on the day, although New York would go down to defeat 4-3. "It was a distraction," Benjamin said of his 600th home run, "I'm happy it's over. I just wish I'd been able to make a difference in the outcome today." In his 2647-game career, Benjamin has hit at a .308 clip and collected 3164 hits with 726 doubles, 84 triples, 600 homers, and 1877 RBIs. |

Tyler Millhone Career Updaate 08/31/2028 Number 3000 for Millhone: What a day for Tyler Millhone. The 36-year-old St. Louis third baseman reached the 3000-hit mark today and the Cardinals whipped the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3. Millhone told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 3000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 2 for 4 in the game to reach the milestone. Millhone has a lifetime .305 average with 3001 hits, 766 doubles, 71 triples, 418 home runs and 1608 RBIs to date. |

Cody William Perkins Career Update 10/03/2028 Perkins Reaches 3000: Chicago's Cody William Perkins entered the record books today as he collected hit number 3000 at U.S. Cellular Field. "I am proud of this. Not too many player reach this level. You have to be around quite a few years and you have to get a lot of hits," Perkins said after the game. On his milestone day he went 2 for 3 as the White Sox won 12-4 over the Kansas City Royals. Lifetime in 2673 games Perkins is batting .299 with 716 home runs and 2038 RBIs. |

Nick Gages Offseason 12/05/2028 Star SP Gage Settles on Atlanta: The Atlanta Braves have called a press conference later today to announce the signing of starting pitcher Nick Gage to a 2-year, $32,800,000 contract.
